Hello! I must inform you that I'm going to have to decline your offer to nominate me at this time. After the failed RfA for User:RC-0722 (he has about 300 more edits that I do), It probably would be in the best interest that I wait for a while before accepting another nom. If you ever need any help or have any other questions about Wikipedia, please feel free to ask me on my talk page. Drop a line! Burner0718 (talk) 20:17, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism and are immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. Nakon23:37, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Request for Adminship (RFA)
Hey Pookeo9 there are certain criteria to becoming an administrator. Just signing yourself up does not guarantee that you will become and admin. The guidelines are pretty much common sense. You must have knowledge of Wikipedia's Core Policies, it is recommended you have more than 3 months experience and you have more than a certain amount of edits (I forgot). Most of all you must be trusted by the community. Knowing all of this does not guarantee admin tools. There are other issues that need to worked out, so if you try again take into consideration what others have to say. I failed at my RFA but I have taken into consideration everything people said and in a couple months I will try again. So I suggest that in a couple months to a year you try getting an admin coach and when they feel that you are ready try becoming an admin. But until then work hard and continue to help this project. This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. I have withdrawn your request for adminship because, at the final tally of 1,7,0, (for the sake of neutrality, the tally could be considered 1,6,0 discarding my vote as the closer) it had almost no chance of passing. Please consider what the opposition has stated, and try again in a few months time. Thank you, -- Anonymous DissidentTalk23:59, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Image source problem with Image:Tony Allen guarding the ball.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Tony Allen guarding the ball.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:19, 29 January 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mønobi01:19, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Adoption
Hi, Pooke09, and welcome to the frightening but wonderful world of Wikipedia! We have a scheme here in which experienced users help new ones along the way a little and help them to avoid getting messages like the ones you have above here. If you would like me to do this, I have some spare time at present, and can help you with some of the complicated things. If you're happy with this, drop me a line on my talk page (it's linked from my signature, just click the + on top of my talk page when you get there), let me know what sort of editing you want to do, and we can take it from there. If this isn't what you want to do, you may find yourself getting more and more annoying messages. Up to you, of course. Cheers! --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 01:24, 29 January 2008 (UTC)re[reply]
I think that by blanking the page, you were trying to close the AfD. I'm certain that it will close as a delete but I suggest letting admin handle it. The discussion is only a day old and AfDs typically last about five days before the decision is acted on. EnviroboyTalkCs21:19, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I just wanted to say thanks for your support for my RfA, which closed (74/2/0) this morning. Your comment and support was much appreciated, and certainly gave me a smile! Happy‑melon09:33, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You have expressed interest in undergoing the Admin coaching program. However, after reviewing your edit history, I feel you may need more experience editing (i.e., >2,500 edits & 4 months of activity) on Wikipedia before you can know for certain your ready to begin the process of becoming an administrator. Therefore, at this time, your application for Admin Coaching has been declined.
My suggestion would be to seek adoption from a more experienced user who can help you experience all of the various components of editing an encyclopedia. If you decide adoption is not for you, there is also the editor review process that may help you find areas to improve upon in our editing. If you would like to talk more about this, please feel free to leave me a my talk page. MBisanztalk21:27, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yesterday, Paul Pierce which was nominated by Basketball110 was selected as April's Collaboration. The nomination is avaliable here. If you were not able to vote, we look forward to you voting in May's collaboration which will be avaliable in late April. However, as of now Boston Celtics remains March's Collaboration. Please see the to-do list for the article on it's talk page. Thanks, Newsletterbot (talk) 01:31, 14 March 2008 (UTC)The above message was an automatically delievered message from Newsletterbot. Welcome to the Green Bay Packers WikiProject. As you should know, we are a group dedicated to making the Green bay Packers not only the best team in the NFL, but also the best covered on Wikipedia. This is a great way to show your support for America's best small-town team. Right now, we are working on creating a solid base for the WikiProject, so that we will be able to easily coordinate our efforts to succeed in our main goal, expand the articles! Nothing is set in stone, and all users are on an equal footing, so comments, suggestions, concerns, and being BOLD is welcome! Please come take a look at the project page, and become part of our community. If you feel you can help out in coordinating certain parts of the project, or have some new ideas, please let us know!
The Green Bay Packers Wikiproject has three specific collaboration efforts, and one open collaboration effort:
Nominated Collaborations- As with most WikiProjects, we have an area for members to nominate articles that need attention.
Featured and Good Content Collaboration- The Project also has a specific area for members to receive help with building an article up to GA-Class, FA-Class, or FL-Class. Every B-Class article within the scope of the project has been identified as a candidate for the area of collaboration. Nominations of new articles or of lower-class articles are also welcome in this area.
Stub Collaboration- One major key to this Project is to make sure that no top-importance and ultimately high-importance article is a stub. This area of collaboration is for members to work on de-stubbing important articles within the project's scope. As with the other collaboration efforts, this area is open to member nominations.
Special Collaboration- This last area is for special collaboration efforts. This area will not always be in use, but is usually used for collaboration efforts that focus on adding certain aspects to every page. Currently, the special collaboration is focused on adding an appropriate Infobox to every article that requires one. Hopefully, we will be able to get the services of a bot to automatically search our categories and create a list here, which will allow members to add the appropriate infobox to each article.
Currently, the project will employ the work of a bot, SatyrBot, to help the project tag new article with our project banner. Every two weeks, the bot will search every article in each Green Bay Packers category, and any article found to be in the category without a project tag will be listed here. Any article on this page should be tagged with our banner, making sure to assess the article by class and importance.
A worklist showing each article under the project's scope by class and importance can be found here, with a log of changes of assessments found here, and the project's statistics can be found here.
Please invite new members by either using a personal message, or {{InvitePackersProject}}. If new members join, please welcome them with {{WelcomePackersProject}} while also giving them a personal welcome.
To stop receiving this newsletter, or to receive it in a different format, please let us know here. If you have any news or any announcements to be broadcast, do let us know.

Project News
There are currently no unassessed articles in the Wikiproject. This was done because of a great help and effort by Basketball110, and Stormtracker94. The main project page received a redesign that was blatantly was stolen from the Green Bay Packers Wikiproject. It is encouraged that all members keep both the main project page and the main project talk page on their watchlist to see any new information that may be posted there. The project currently has a total of twenty-two (22) members. It is suggested that you invite anyone who may be interesting in contributing in this project. When inviting someone please use {{WP CELTICS INVITE}}. If they do accept the invite, please welcome them with {{WPCELTICSwelcome}}. Our main goal for the project to bring Boston Celtics up to featured article status still stands. The article was chosen as March's collaboration and a good amount of effort was done improving the article by 8-Hype, Stormtracker94, and RC-0722. Your help is appreciated.
The project currently has one featured article: Bill Russell, and four (4) good articles: Bob Cousy, Bruce Bowen, Dennis Johnson, and Red Auerbach.
The project collaboration for the Wikiproject for March was Boston Celtics. April’s collaboration is Paul Pierce. The article could use some cleanup and significant improvements. The article was nominated by Basketabll110 and the nomination is avaliable here. It is recommended that you put Paul Pierce on your watchlist to track all changes that occur in the article. You will be notified with May's nominations are taking place.
Thanks for your support in my RFA, that didn't quite make it and ended at 120/47/13. There was a ton of great advice there, that I'm going to go on. Maybe someday. If not, there are articles to write! Thanks for your support. Lawrence § t/e18:03, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
San Jose Task Force Invite
You have been invited to join the San Jose Sharks task force, a task force under WikiProject Ice Hockey. We are dedicated to improving the San Jose Sharks-related articles on Wikipedia. You received this invitation due to your interest in San Jose Sharks and/or your many edits to San Jose Sharks articles. If you would like to join, please visit the task force page, and add your name to the list of active project members.
Pookeo9...Thank you for supporting my nomination for adminship. Through it I have become aware of a great many people who can help me in my future editing endeavors. Even though I was not promoted, your support shows that I still have something to contribute to Wikipedia, even if it is minor edits to fix spelling and grammar to working in WikiProjects to help others make great articles. If you wish to further discuss the nomination, please use its talk page. Stop by my talk page anytime, even if it is just to say hello. Have a wonderful day! - LA @ 04:40, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The guidelines for writing pay-per-view articles has been updated, see here. The new guidelines should be followed in order for an article to be nominated for Good article or Featured article status.
The project has had a cleanup listing generated here. It details all the article within the project that are tagged as having problems. Please help to fix the problems outlined.
Our goal is to get the number of Stub-Class articles below 600. The current count is 625. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list has been placed on the stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers that should be fairly easy to improve.
The Future class rating has been incorporated into the project's assessment. It's intended use is for pay-per-views articles or video games that have not occurred or have been released, respectively.

Collaboration of the Week
The Collaboration of the Week has recently been revamped, and we will now have 6 collaborations at a time. The current collaborations will stand until they reach a certain goal, e.g. Good article status.

Avoid using bolding to emphasize text. See MOS:BOLD for appropriate uses of bold text.
If you do not want your information removed from articles, please use proper grammar and cite your sources.
Avoid jargon such as face/babayface, heel, turn, etc. in articles. People unfamiliar with professional wrestling will not understand what these words mean. See WP:JARGON for more information.

Although I agree closure as keep is the most likely outcome I have reverted your non-admin closure of this AfD: it was not complete (the article itself was not updated) and per WP:NAC it was invalid (there was a delete !vote). Ros0709 (talk) 18:01, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Your recent RfA
I am sorry, but I have closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, you only have a little over 300 edits on Wikipedia; while your edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards by which they judge RfA candidates, this particular RfA was all but assured of not passing.
I am sorry about this, and I hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I am confident that you would be able to submit a successful RfA in the future. You may wish to consider applying for an evaluation by other Wikipedia editors for feedback on how to obtain the necessary experience. Once you are ready to request adminship again, there is a great admin coaching program available, as well as a guide to requests for adminship.
Please do not think this as any judgment on the quality of your edits but you have not edited for months and so there was no way to judge you correctly in order to grant you adminship. If you have any other questions about becoming an administrator, please don't hesitate to ask me. Good luck! SoWhy22:14, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
