Template:Redirect5

This page is an incomplete list of proposed mergers. Anyone may list any article merger proposal here. This is optional, and it does not replace any of the other steps in the merger process. Please add the appropriate merger tag(s) to the articles before listing them here. See Category:Merge by month for all pages needing to be merged.

Guidelines

In general, this page should be used primarily to solicit outside feedback regarding mergers (particularly those of a controversial nature), or assistance with difficult or complicated mergers. Brief replies may be posted here, but lengthy discussions should be confined to the talk pages of the articles involved. After articles are merged (or a consensus that the articles should not be merged is reached), please remove them from the list below.

Cut and paste move fixes: To request page histories to be merged, list them at cut and paste move repairs.

How to propose a merger

Proposing a merger can be done in three steps:

1. Create a place for discussion. Go to the talk page of one of the articles and create a section to discuss the merger. If there's already a discussion on the talk page regarding the merger, you can omit this step. The section name can be anything, for example ==Proposed merger from Page1==.
2. Put one of the merger tags at the top of the articles you wish to be merged. The templates merge, mergefrom and mergeto are the most common ones. Remember to make sure that the Discuss link in each tag points to the section you've created in step 1 – this is to prevent having two separate discussions on different talk pages.
3. List the page under the current month, on top of the list. Remember to include a link to the talk page from step 1. Sign your request with four tildes (~~~~). For example:
* Merge Page1 into Page2. The pages should be merged because... Discuss here. ~~~~
