    Shortcuts

    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here).

    This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

    Do not request that pages or media deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

    Hello. The article 'Aylan Azerbaijani Dance Group' was recently deleted by Fastily. It was a biography of a famous person and had credible sources. It's very important. Please tell me why did you delete this page? I want that article restored, plz.

    Not done – this page was deleted as a blatant advertisement under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion and Wikipedia is not to be used as a vehicle for promotion. This does not necessarily mean a suitable article on this topic cannot be created. If it is a notable topic, e.g., multiple reliable, secondary, published sources that are entirely independent of the subject have written about it in substantive detail (not just mere mentions), then a neutrally written article may be possible.     On the other hand, the situation appears different: as clearly explained in the article, "EP Quantum Mechanics" corresponds to "The equivalence postulate of Quantum Mechanics". If you look on Google Scholar then you may find 148 citations: https://scholar.google.com/scholar?oi=bibs&hl=it&cites=8244678585560532218

    Furthermore, the work on this formulation of Quantum Mechanics is well known, it has approx. 1000 citations. See, for example, the citations of the papers signed by both Faraggi and Matone papers

    Therefore the claim that the subject is unknown is simply due to the fact that the in the search it has been used the acronym "EP" instead of "Equivalence Postulate".     Savion Einstein

    I think there was a mistake deleting this article since Savion clearly meets the guidelines as well as was approved. Savion is well known by now and owns her own IMDB page and won prizes such as Joplin Award, CineStory, The Nicholl Fellowship and more. Also, Savion is one of the "THE YOUNG AND HUNGRY LIST 2017" and one of her scripts were bought by SONY. Sources to add include an interview by Louise Schiavone, use of John Tantillo as an expert for the BBC, as well as a Hofstra Alumni article written about him.     Cliff Fabri

    I am requesting userification. Nominator Freedomeagle's nomination claimed their search for references only found Fabri was only known for the discovery of, and early musical success of, one artist, Avril Lavigne.

    First, that is not true, Lavigne was merely his most successful protege. He also played a significant role in the early career of Samantha Moore, a lesser known singer, with some parallels to Lavigne. He did that prior to Freedomeagle's nomination, so their nomination did not show the reliable web search they claimed. He is currently working on the career of a third young singer from rural Ontario, Media related to Alexa Goldie at Wikimedia Commons.

    I started working on a draft of an article on Ms Goldie, earlier today. I linked to Cliff Fabri, found he had once had an article, that was deleted following a flawed and unreliable nomination.

    • Oh. Second. (I referred to a "first" above.) Being the manager of a single artist would not be a bar to covering an individual. Elvis Presley's manager, "Colonel" Tom Parker, only had a single client. He is famous, or perhaps infamous. Infamously his contract with Presley gave him a much larger cut of Presley's income than was then standard with managers. Managers are important. So, this was a bad argument for deletion.     David Kellogg

    I made a request here, at Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Log/2020_November_7#David Kellogg, over a month and a half ago.

    It remains unclosed. An administrator made a claim that userification could pose a BLP issue. Another administrator, who looked at the deleted revisions did not recognize a BLP issue. Several other administrators said it should not be userified IF there were a meaningful BLP concern, without weighing in, one way or another, as to whether they thought it had a BLP issue.

    I had a brief discussion, over email, with the administrator with a BLP concern, and, while I respect their sincerity I don't agree that there is a BLP issue.

    Without stepping over any BLP line I think that a single adjective seems to have been applied to Kellogg, and the BLP issue that administrator thought they saw was that that adjective required a reference to substantiate it, and no such reference was in the article.

    As I noted in the November 7th REFUND, I think RS that would substantiate that adjective do exist. I also question whether the adjective should really trigger a BLP concern.

    In general REFUND requests probably shouldn't go unclosed.

    I think what may have happened here is that some other administrators considered closing that discussion, and chose not to out of caution. I suspect some were willing to userify the article, as I requested, but chose caution just in case there were BLP issues they failed to see. I suspect other administrators considered closing it by telling me I should escalate to a request at DRV, but chose not to do so because they weren't able to recognize a BLP issue of sufficient seriousness to justify telling someone to go to DRV.

    This page was deleted incorrectly for copyright reason although all information was general historical knowledge. This page on the battle represents a large historical event for people of Sikh religion.     Not done G'day, as it appears to have been deleted for copyright reasons, it can't be restored through this process (this is for non controversial processes only). I would suggest discussing the matter in the first instance with the deleting admin (Diannaa) initially. If you still feel they have erred in their decision and if you can't resolve the matter on their talk page, you may then consider Wikipedia:Deletion review. The page described a battle which took place in 1702 near the town of Chamkaur. It is a battle that holds great significance for Sikhs worldwide. We would be grateful if the article could be restored in full at it was. If necessary I am happy to take on admin responsibility for the page.     This was a redirect to Battle of Chamkaur and it was that page that was deleted.     Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Githyanki (2nd nomination) was closed as delete in February 2020. User:Piotrus (who had voted to delete on the AFD) approached me on my talk page[3] with a request to have the content restored and redirected to List of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd edition monsters as a soft delete rather than a hard delete. He found a new source [4] which would not be enough to meet the WP:GNG on its own, but could form the basis of future work on the article.     BOZ, I confirm that I support restoring (and then redirecting). This should likely be done for dozens (or hundreds) of similar articles - there is no harm in having the old fancrufty content in the edit history, some topics do become notable as time passes, and some of that old content (categories, infoboxes, leads) is always reusable anyway.     Varthamaanam

    Agreed that the film was deleted in the first place when it was in a non notable status.
