If you think an article about video games should be added to Wikipedia and know that it meets the inclusion criteria above, please list it below with URL links to the reliable sources that prove its notability (e.g., reviews or dedicated coverage from Idiot's Gaming News or Polygon, but not forum posts, blogs without a professional staff, or the official website of the subject). Please do not add games or developers that do not yet meet this notability criterion, as they will be deleted; instead help us work on another current article and remember to add the game/developer if they meet the criteria in the future. Once an article is created, please remove the request. Please see Wikipedia:Articles for creation for more information on what articles are acceptable. Thank you.

Click here to request a video game article.
Articles require significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject.

If you think an article about video games should be added to Wikipedia and know that it meets the inclusion criteria above, please list it below with URL links to the reliable sources that prove its notability (e.g., reviews or dedicated coverage from IGN or Polygon, but not forum posts, blogs without a professional staff, or the official website of the subject). Thank you.

If you placed a request here that was since removed, it likely did not meet Wikipedia's general notability guideline, and is not a fit topic for an article at this time.

 • White Day: A Labyrinth Named School - a korean survival horror PC video game released in Korea in 2001. It was scheduled for a release in the UK in 2004 and then to be released in the US soon after. Unfortunately, the company went bankrupt due to illegal downloads of the game spreading on the internet. Because of this, the game has many bugs, and the English translation patch isn't very good. The plot consists of a young boy that the player controls, sneaking into his school at night to leave chocolates for the girl he likes (White Day is a similar occasion to Valentines Day), named So Young. He also sneaks in to return her diary. As he enters, he runs into two of his classmates, two female students who exchange ghost stories in the hallway. It's not until an alarm goes off, that things take a turn for the worst. The player finds out that this school is incredibly haunted by dead students, raging ghouls, and a crazed janitor who chases the player and kills other students with a bat. This point and click survival horror has a very intense atmosphere, and the player will be repeatedly thrown into very dangerous environments. The player must solve puzzles, hide from enemies, run from danger, and quickly roam from room to room of the labryinth like school. If caught by the janitor, you are brutally clubbed to death. There are many obstacles that stand in your way. This game also features lots of decision making, as conversations with other students can change the storyline based on the players choices. The plot thickens, as you start to learn more and more about this mysterious So Young, and the death of her sister. The other students are very wary of her and don't trust anyone associated with her, even you. So gaining the trust of the other students is key. [ Sadly, there isnt much information about this game, and by creating this article, I hope more people can add to the mystery of this game. It's a decent title and deserves a page.]
Can't find any reliable sources for this, though being a slightly older game I'm happy to give it the benefit of the doubt and let others look. Samwalton9 (talk)
The article on this game on ko.wikipedia (ko:화이트데이 (게임)) is pretty detailed and has refs like Gamespot articles that are at least borderline according to our RS board. The full name of the game in Korean is "화이트데이: 학교라는 이름의 미궁" in case anyone wants to look for Korean RSes. -Thibbs (talk) 20:53, 31 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've looked into this one a bit, in particular whether this would be notable enough for inclusion. The best thing I can find is an interview with Toronto Thumbs (a website that itself has no article on Wikipedia). The museum is a "member site" of IF-Legends (no article on Wikipedia for that website either). The museum has had a website since 7 July 2001; it started as "The Computer and Book RPG/Adventure Museum" (at vgmuseum.chaoticmonkey.com). Apparently, what makes its website stand out from similar websites are not just high-quality scans of - in some cases rare - game boxes and books, but also that the website lists all the contents of the game boxes. The website's author is Howard J. Feldman, a computational chemistry research scientist at the Chemical Computing Group (chemcomp.com), who also created a game "The Search for Freedom". On the one hand, if Elliott Avedon Museum and Archive of Games is notable (has primary sources only, by the way), then so is this museum. On the other hand, I cannot really find multiple reliable, third-party sources on the topic. --82.136.210.153 (talk) 11:38, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The game was released on Steam on December 11th, 2013 [12] and on iTunes on March 20th, 2014 to favorable-to-mixed consumer and critic reviews. [13] [14][15] [16]

Looks like Five Nights at Freddy's, Five Nights at Freddy's 2 and The Desolate Hope are on Steam,[18] and I found three interviews.[19][20][21] (Not saying he's notable or that the sources are reliable. Just listing stuff I found.) --82.136.210.153 (talk) 23:42, 8 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
A majority of sources of him I see are exclusively in context of 5NF. Perhaps start Five Nights at Freddy's (series) (which is going to have its fourth game, hence quite warranted) and redirect him there for now? No prejudice to own article when he has something else to be notable for. 野狼院ひさし u/t/c 09:55, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
He also created Ir/rational Redux,[25][26] and worked on Binary Domain,[27] Driver: San Francisco and Lost Horizon. Here's a ref for the nomination.[28] Develop mentions him here and here. Apparently, Rock, Paper, Shotgun also talked with him in 2008.[29] But, yeah, most of this is about his games and not about him. --82.136.210.153 (talk) 13:55, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I propose we remove all recent entries by Coin945 that only have Metacritic links. This is not an overview of games listed at Metacritic that do not have Wikipedia pages. 'It has a page at Metacritic and not at Wikipedia' is not enough to justify spamming this page with entries. --82.136.210.153 (talk) 13:11, 25 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
If a game has a Metacritic page, it means it has been reviewed by at least 4 notable critics, thereby justifying its notability. I have already received permission to add the games here. I am using this page for its intended purpose. If you want the page to be nice and short again, then I guess you'll have to start creating some of these articles... :D--Coin945 (talk) 02:28, 31 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It's more likely I'll write a script that will find every single game with four or more reviews on Metacritic that does not yet have a Wikipedia article, and then paste all those (tens of?) thousands of games here. That would be way more effective to prove my point. --82.136.210.153 (talk) 07:02, 30 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Could you legit actually do that? It would create a huuuge list, but it is a valuable list nonetheless. It would near guarantee the creation of articles on all notable video games within the last x years without any being left out. It could be a subpage from here.--Coin945 (talk) 14:53, 30 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

WINTREK was written in 1989 when Windows 3.1 was first released. It was probably the first shareware game to take advantage of the new MMSYSTEM DLLs, which provided audio and video hooks into Windows. Before this, Windows did not support any audio or color graphics display. At the time, the Windows API was poorly documented by Microsoft, which made writing this game a challenge. By today's standards, WINTREK is primitive in terms of graphics and special effects, but it is still a fun game to play. Source taken from the actual Wintrek creators page. It is a cult classic. • Adaptive video game - See: HiveMind Wright calls it "personal gaming", in which the player's interests affect the content of the game, saying, "Rather than craft a game like FarmVille for players to learn and play, we learn about you and your routines and incorporate that into a form of game play."[1] The game will harvest data about the players in order to create content. It would not initiate this process, but would be permitted to do so by players.[2] It has been described as "an immersive game that uses real-world information about a user to develop a unique in-game experience tailored to each player." The name could also be "Personal gaming" or something completely different (and/or have redirects being set up). I don't know if there already are any such games so probably it's not an article that has to be created right now (that doesn't necessarily imply that there can't be an article about it) but it certainly shouldn't be left out as this is a new video game type.
