The barangay's total land area is 131 hectares (320 acres).[3] According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 1,185.[1]

History

Juagdan was once a big barrio of the municipality. However, during the 1950s and years after, former sitios like Cagting, Cuya, Guintabo‑an and Tintinan separated and became independent barangays.

The name Juagdan came from the Visayan word hagdan which means "bridge or pathway".
