The Jordanian passport is issued by the Civil Status and Passport Department (CSPD) to citizens of Jordan for international travel.

Passport types

Jordan issues three types of Passports:

  1. Normal Passport without a National ID. Given to the people for East Jerusalem, people of the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
  2. Passport with a national number: issued for Jordanian citizens with full Jordanian nationality privileges.
  3. Diplomatic passport: issued for the government officers who hold the Special Rank, Chamber of Deputies of Jordan, and Senate of Jordan. It's distinguished by its red cover

Visa requirements

Countries and territories with visa-free or visa on arrival entry for holders of regular Jordanian passports

In 2016, Jordanian citizens had visa-free or visa on arrival access to 47 countries and territories, ranking the Jordanian passport 90th in the world according to the Visa Restrictions Index.
