Leeds LGBT Pride is an annual LGBT Pride celebration held in the city of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England.
It has been running since 2006, and in its tenth year (2016) had over 40,000[1] people in attendance, with the figure expected to grow in year on year.
The day usually starts in Millennium Square at around 11.00am with Live Music, Performances, Speeches and a few stalls. At around 2.00pm the Pride Parade sets off with floats, music and a march through Leeds towards the Leeds Freedom Bridge on Lower Briggate and The Calls which is commonly known as #gayleeds. The #gayleeds area then hosts a large street party with music, alcohol, a funfair, and street stalls. The street party goes on until late, with many people entering the nightclubs and bars later in the evening.
