AfD nomination of Annette Kawecki
[edit]Annette Kawecki, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Annette Kawecki satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Annette Kawecki and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Annette Kawecki during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Hersfold (t/a/c) 03:27, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Annette Kawecki
[edit]A tag has been placed on Annette Kawecki requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Dhartung | Talk 07:22, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Request help with article Ancient Egypt
[edit]As you are listed as a member of Wikiproject:AncientEgypt, I'd like to recruit your help in reviewing the article Ancient Egypt. The article is listed as top priority in the Wikiproject and as a vital article by the Version 1.0 Editorial Team, but appears to have failed to meet Good Article criteria at its last nomination. The article is in need of some serious attention.
In the past week, I asked for (and got) the article to be semi-protected to protect against the constant barrage of vandalism. This protection lasts for two weeks. I also did a little clean-up, added a map and so on. I would like to see everyone in Wikiproject:AncientEgypt have the chance to add their input to Ancient Egypt, and get the article up to featured status as soon as possible. I believe the article is at least 80% of the way there, and some focused attention will bring it the rest of the way.
The most pressing concerns seem to be the culture/architecture section, and the achievements/unsolved problems sections. Also, the entire article, especially the achievements section, the sources, and external links need to be seriously checked for accuracy. These sections also require a little organization too.
Ancient Egypt ought to be the top priority of Wikiproject:AncientEgypt, and I look forward to working with everyone to get this article cleaned up and hopefully promoted to featured status. Thanks for your help, Jeff Dahl 03:32, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Fake Art
[edit]Thank you for adding the Project Paranormal banner to so many pages, it's good to see some enthusiasm. However, I'm a little concerned that you're adding it to page about things like forged statues which have no actual links to the paranormal, and whose pages make no mention of links.
We've had some problems lately with tanasious editors with strong anti-paranormal feelings and tagging things without an obvious link tends to rile them. If it's not too much trouble, could you please either only add banners to pages that mention the paranormal in either research or popular culture, or add details of the connections in at the same time as you add the banners.

Scottish English
[edit]Wikipedia:WikiProject Scotland wants to use {{User en-sc}} for Scottish English, and I have suggested they follow ISO code to use {{User en-gb-sct}} instead and allow en-sc instead for Seychellois English, per the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 having "sc" Seychelles and ISO 3166-1:GB#BS-only codes having "gb-sct" as Scotland, just like ISO 3166-1:US having "us-ca" for California and {{User en-us-ca}} for California English. Could you please take a look at Wikipedia:User categories for discussion#Scottish English and give your thoughts? Thanks! Taric25 16:27, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

The newsletter is back! Many things have gone on during the past few months, but many things have not. While the assessment drive helped revitalize the assessment department of the project, many other departments have received no attention. Most notably: peer review and our "workgroups". A day long IRC meeting has been planned for October 13th, with the major focus being which areas of the project are "dead", what should our goals be as a project, and how to "revive" the dead areas of our project. Contribute to the discussion on the the new channel (see below) We decided to deliver this newsletter to all project members this month but only those with their names down here will get it delivered in the future. This is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue. Any and all contributions are welcome. Simply let yourself be known to any of the undersigned or post news on the next issue's talk page
Lastly, a new WikiProject Biography channel has been set up on the freenode network: Our thanks to Phoenix 15 for setting it up.

Paul Anderson (artist)
[edit]A Proposed Deletion template has been added to the article Paul Anderson (artist), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. Oo7565 17:58, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Tamaskan
[edit]I just want to make sure before I put my article up again that you think I have enough referances. We have The Tamaskan Dog Register website, Tamaskan Dog Society of Great Britain website, National Tamaskan Club of America website, The Tamaskan Dog Showing Club at judgedogs.com we have 4 breeders websites in 3 different countries. We also have 2 local newspaper articles, a Tamaskan Brochure (although it is published by the register and has no IBAN no. as it is a brochure not book) as well as the old Tamaskan Breeders guide, a mention in Our Dogs and a profile on dogbreedinfo.com do you think that would be enough or should I leave it a bit longer until we have a bit more positive publicity? [edit]Hi! You proposed that Wikipedia:WikiProject Origin of life and related debates was to be merged with Wikipedia:WikiProject intelligent design. I dispute this. Have I got any notion wrongly?? To emphasize: I'm a christian evolutionist, believing that God used some complex chemistry which is perfectly legal and moral to research. Pretty pissed off by christians defining creationists to be the "only true christians", I dislike being associated by either creationism or intelligent design.
