    Shortcut

    Before reporting, read the spam and vandalism pages, as well as the AIV guide. To submit, edit this page and follow the instructions at the top of the "User-reported" section. For other issues, file a request for administrator attention.

    Important!
    1. The edits of the user must be obvious vandalism or obvious spam.
    2. Except for egregious cases, the user must have been given enough warning(s).
    3. The warning(s) must have been given recently and there must be reasonable grounds to believe the user(s) will further disrupt the site in the immediate future.
    4. If you decide that a report should be filed place the following template at the bottom of the User-reported section:
      • * {{Vandal|Example user or IP}} Your concise reason (e.g. vandalised past 4th warning). ~~~~
    5. Requests for further sanctions against a blocked user (e.g., talk page, e-mail blocks) should be made at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
    6. Reports of sockpuppetry should be made at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations unless the connection between the accounts is obvious and disruption is recent and ongoing.
    This noticeboard can grow and become backlogged. Stale reports are automatically cleared by MDanielsBot after 4–8 hours with no action.

That should be the first step, followed by warnings of a possible block if the problems persist, and a request for administrative intervention only if both those methods fail to produce an improvement.     Note: Firstly, this is clearly a content dispute, and there is no way of interpreting Jeffro77's edits as either vandalism or promotion, which are the only issues dealt with on this page. Secondly, AKS.9955's editing could be regarded as promotional, so he should beware of the possibility of a WP:BOOMERANG. Thirdly, "another user also opined to remove the redirects" is a total misreading of the situation referred to in the linked discussion: what actually happened was that another editor who had made it perfectly clear that he or she was opposed to removing the redirects conceded that doing so might be justified if you could improve the articles, which is a very different thing.     • Comment: Hello JamesBWatson, thanks for your feedback. Yes, the possible issue of promotional was discussed at length in the user talk page and I clarified point by point there. Finally, another independent user had suggested me to improve (based on the discussions) since the entire discussion was revolving around wikilinks. I did so and there is absolutely nothing promotional about the articles. Moreover, Jeffro77 is of the opinion that I am related to some Dr. Singh who has something to do with the pages. I am not sure where he got this idea from, but if that is the rational (due to which I am being blamed of promotion) then I am at loss of words what to say.     Edits are not vandalism. Please ensure recent edits constitute vandalism before re-reporting. Nothing wrong with attempting to add "citation needed" templates. Instead of treating it as vandalism, consider helping them do it correctly — MusikAnimal talk 17:39, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
