Please restore the page Yuri Rutman. This is not autobiographical and in line with thousands of other media executives and film/tv producers. A similar issue on this was resolved more than two years ago. Further, there are numerous public profiles, major news articles & stories (MSNBC, FOX NEWS, etc) that correlate to all the information provided -[[User:Euromogul|Euromogul]] ([[User talk:Euromogul|talk]]) 20:02, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

Revision as of 20:02, 10 May 2012

Welcome. Please note that this page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions nor to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions), or in "articles for deletion" debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process.

This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions on the template or on your talk page.

Note that requests for undeletion is not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.

reasoning -Peacemanager (talk) 20:45, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This information is fair use under U.S. copyright law because it is (1) noncommercial, (2) transformative in nature, and (3) does not compete with the original work and could have no negative effect on it's market. And it's well understood and accepted by a majority of the public.

Not done and will not be done. This was not deleted for copyright reasons, but because it was an attack page, designed only to disparage its subject. Wikipedia is not a soapbox, a battleground, or a vehicle for propaganda. JohnCD (talk) 21:42, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Also note that Wikipedia is not a place for something you made up one day; articles here are about notable topics not for new words you want to insert into the language. (The use of "douche" as a pejorative component of your made-up word must also be considered as rather sexist.) --Orange Mike | Talk 16:53, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

QuoteMeFive.com

page was still under construction -TheOneBusiness (talk) 16:20, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Article was deleted for reason A7 for speedy deletion - not having significance. I had the new {newpage} heading signifying it was still under construction. Thank you for your time and consideration

Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles concerning companies. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning companies will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject. --Orange Mike | Talk 16:50, 3 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

1. A-fu Teng 2. why would the singers bio on wikipedia be deleted. everything is correct. she is an uprising star in taiwan. the page should not be deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jin888 (talkcontribs)

 • Comment. If I were the deleting admin, I might have been inclined to reconsider as I think there is enough reasonable doubt as to the subject's notability. However, after reading the article creator's comments on Bwilkins's and Sandstein's talk pages, I wasn't to impressed with the chip he seems to have on his shoulder about this. Timmyshin, (I know you're reading this) you worked hard on this article, it was deleted and you're pissed. I would be too. However, the way you talked to these two admins is not the way we talk to each other here and I have to praise Sandstein for restarting the AFD after your more qualified admin cheap shot. At this point I would recommend you work on a userspace draft and then submit it to deletion review. Also, I am curious as to why you didn't !vote in the AFD? Note to Jin888. There may be good reasons to undelete this article but the one you provided isn't one of them. --Ron Ritzman (talk) 12:36, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done - as a contested proposed deletion, the article has been restored on request. If the article is to be kept, it needs references showing significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources to establish notability. JohnCD (talk) 17:32, 5 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

David Akin

There is a David Akin who is a political reporter in Ottawa, the Capital of Canada. This article basically accuses him of colluding with the Prime Minister, like "James Guckert / Jeff Gannon" colluded with George W. Bush. That one reference, alone, would not be sufficient to establish notability for David Akin, journalist. An earlier article was deleted as WP:CSD#A7, 6 years ago.

I request userification of the earlier article on David Akin, to see if it is about the same individual, as the accusation may be sufficient to push him over the edge to notability.

Oh, yeah, the administrator who deleted the article has been on wikibreak for six months. Geo Swan (talk) 08:03, 6 May 2012 (UTC) -Geo Swan (talk) 08:03, 6 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The trouble started last August, when Sun Media's David Akin broke ranks with the media pool. With the rest of the journalists at Rideau Hall agreeing to ask Prime Minister Stephen Harper a question about the long-form census, Akin used one of two English-language questions available to the press to ask about Catherine Frid's play Homegrown, which had just played at SummerWorks. mirror

John Serry, Jr.

notability: A simple Google search on John Serry will confirm that I am an internationally known recording artist, pianist and composer. The search results should not be confused with my father, John Serry Sr. who was a an accordionist that worked as a local sideman for many years in the New York / Long Island area. Nearly all search results that one can find are about me and my work. (I dropped the Jr. decades ago.) My brother has written, shall we say, a very impressive representation of my father at Wikipedia. Ironically, although I am internationally known with recordings on major labels, a Grammy Nomination, and an active international career as a jazz pianist and jazz and modern classical composer, the Wikipedia article about me (written by others and slightly corrected by me after the fact) was deleted around the time that the one on my father was made. Note that of the few search results that come up about my father virtually all of them are the Wikipedia article itself or derivations of that article. In case there is any confusion, if an internet item does not have Sr. appended to the name, then it is about me, not about me father. (I have not yet found an exception to that, although one or two might exist.) In any case a careful reading of any item concerning John Serry will show that it is about me, the jazz pianist, jazz and classical composer and sometimes percussionist, rather than my father the accordionist who also played organ in a wedding chapel and wrote some (primarily accordion) music and method books. ADDENDUM: Among numerous sites in which you will find reference to me (as pianist, composer and occasionally percussionist), there are recording artist and jazz websites e.g., allmusic.com, allaboutjazz.com), websites about modern classical pieces that feature percussion (e.g.,mostlymarimba.com which publishes several of my compositions; professional and student concert and recital programs that include my works, performers discussing my works), announcements of performances of my jazz groups or of my solo piano concerts (primarily in Europe where I have been for the past 8 years), cd and lp vendors (amazon.com, cduniverse, vinyl resellers that offer my early albums), well known jazz musicians (e.g., Peter Erskine, John Riley, Bob Sheppard) in whose resume or biography I am included, major magazine websites where I have been favorably reviewed (e.g. JazzTimes), my website johnserry.com (currently under reconstruction to prepare for my new album release), professional networking sites (myspace, linkedin), numerous videos uploaded by fans and colleagues (my jazz recordings/performances and my classical works, e.g., at youtube), sites about films/videos for which I have composed the soundtracks, etc. (One of the unfortunate consequences of the deletion is that at a couple of websites that I have seen, my recordings or videos have the John Serry Sr. bio attached to them. Some sites automatically use a Wikipedia biography and think that the John Serry Sr. biography is me. This is very frustrating as my father has virtually no recordings or videos and some of mine are found with his Wikipedia biography attached.) Anyway, all of these things can be viewed online. -Jserry (talk) 13:05, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ron Brown (Nebraska)

{{subst:refund|1= Ron Brown (Nebraska)There is not enough reason to delete it, the article is NOT controversial, but rather deleting it is. I think the true reason for the deletion is that there are those who disagree with and despise Ron Brown's beliefs and what he stands for, remember it is his first ammendment right to speak against gays, abortion, and the unfair ethics behind our so called "Human Rights". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.242.63.182 (talk) 15:57, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Not done - As announced at the top of the page, this process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially and has no applicability to articles deleted after any deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ron Brown (Nebraska), it cannot be undeleted through this process. Nevertheless, if you believe that the consensus found at the discussion was in error, or that significant new information has come to light since the deletion, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Ron Ritzman (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. The article was not deleted because Brown is a bigot (as you say, he still has the right to speak; and we have articles on lots of bigots); it was deleted because he's an assistant coach, and the consensus was that like any other assistant coach, he is not notable. --Orange Mike | Talk 16:28, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

These files were deleted as "Orphaned, no encyc use for this series of images". While I cannot see the deleted files, other images by the same author (commons:File:Kaalos g locked-in.jpg, commons:File:Doggirl tries to escape.jpg) are relevant to petplay, and have been called "very useful and unusual images". I think they should be restored (and moved to Commons) until a consensus for their deletion is established.

Since the Commons affects a lot of projects, I would suggest to get a consensus here before any kind of move is done. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 04:10, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

We As Human

"I would like to open an undeletion discussion about an article I created about the band We As Human. File:We As Human.jpeg I can prove that they meet the WP:MUSIC, WP:GNG & WP:BAND criteria. They are a very notable rock band signed to a MAJOR music label (Atlantic Records) and have been on national television for years, i.e., xbox commercials, music channels, television interviews on frequent rotation, etc. They recently finished the winterjam Tour that afterwards took the #1 position on the tour charts - which meet the WP:GOODCHARTS criteria - for the first quarter! http://instagr.am/p/JQWDcpCnmU/

I'm not sure why this article was actually deleted. The researched cited in the deletion discussion was poor and unfounded at best. I feel it is mostly discriminatory since We As Human is known as a christian band. This was, I believe, a simple case of poor wikipedian academics and anti-religious bigotry"
