Generally, your change in tables of sea temperature did not make any visual changes: [1] [2] but your change is incorrect. If you want delete bold you must remove tags from two sides of names of months (if class="wikitable" near the tag of "!" will not apply bold automatically). However, other articles and standard weatherboxes use bold names of months. So if you want to change it, should be a consensus. Subtropical-man talk

While ImpactOnline may or may not be a reliable source, an interview/article written by Leeder re: Pyun most certainly has bias and point-of-view problems. Congrats on getting a GA for the article, Daß Wölf! I'm buried also in RL at the moment but do have a comment/issue or two. It seems you've changed a passage in the production (?) section to read that Pyun had to "resort" to a crew from Los Angeles. It's fine that Pyun claims this but it seems we might want to include what some of those Los Angeles crew members thought about Pyun and his direction. There are numerous sources that list problems Los Angeles crews had with Pyun. Also, I don't understand scaling back the controversy section (now the litigation section) when the film is mostly known for its controversy. More later. Congrats again.

@Sprinkler21: Thanks, and thank you too for helping out :) It seems you posted the message in the GA review, I unwatched that page when the review was finished, so unfortunately I missed it. Now, to get on with the issues you raised:

I've removed stuff that was unnecessary and already implied from the controversy section: repeating of dates, when it is obvious what is meant etc. Also, for example I removed the statement by the GEDCA guy that he feels confident Laing will pay up. If he was 90% sure Laing was going to stiff him, he would still have had to say the same thing, so that statement really means nothing at all, and can be presumed by the lack thereof. We would have written something had he attacked the debtor publicly, since that is what creditors don't typically do in such cases. I also removed the details about extending the deadline. This is implied, as they did not outright sue him for missing the payment, which it would have said in the article, had they done that.

Re: Los Angeles crew vs. Pyun, from all the sources I've seen, it seems one guy was interviewed about it – Ralph Coon(s), who was an assistant lighting technician. He claimed that the rest of the crew was uneasy about it, but no one else came out to back him up. He may have been telling the truth, but we can't presume that he wasn't lying, and in the end he was one technician. Many people working in large projects end up disgruntled, rightfully or not; I'm sure you would have found someone agitated and willing to talk to the press in pretty much any Hollywood project. While he did get five paragraphs in the L.A. Times article and the film director got one, that in fact begs some questions about undue weight in the L.A. Times article itself.

If you want to include Coon(s)'s opinion in the article, how to word it? "A member of the Los Angeles crew claimed the film crew deemed the project unprofessional"? "A member of the Los Angeles crew said the filming was done haphazardly"? Such sentences bring in mind WP:UNDUE (which was by the way cited by the GA reviewer for the Controversy/Litigation section). Stanley Kubrick was, for example, notorious for harassing the actors and crew, and demanding retake after retake, yet 2001: A Space Odyssey, a much longer GA than Max Havoc, does not mention this at all.

As for film being mostly known for its controversy, that is most definitely true on Guam, but I wouldn't know about the rest of the world. One of the sources says that the film made $250,000 worldwide (from DVD rentals and sales presumably). That would mean that at least tens of thousands of people have seen it. I, for instance, got it as a double feature for around $2, and surely not the entire $1 goes towards the gross income of Laing et al, so it may have even been hundreds of thousands. I believe most of those people don't read L.A. Times, Guam press or online critic reviews, and apart from that it didn't get that much fanfare; I was completely oblivious to the controversy until I came upon the Wikipedia article. Therefore I would say that casting, production, etc. are just as important in this case.

I'm sorry if this has ended up a rude wall of text, I just wanted to explain everything I've written/edited about Max Havoc. Thanks for the response and willingness for consensus. It might be awhile before I can give this much attention. Unfortunately RL keeps popping up. Coons was not the only LA crew member interviewed about working on Max Havoc w/Pyun. A sound man was interviewed in the Pacific Daily News and stated that he felt duped by Pyun. Something about being hired for Max Havoc (a film) and being forced to work on a commercial for Pyun while on Guam and something about his rate being more for commercials and that Pyun was dishonest about the whole thing. The sound man also stated he felt the MH production under Pyun was amateurish. Also, I believe an LA assistant costume person was interviewed by PDN about the troubled production. When I have a moment I'm going to have to dig through my PDN archives for these interviews, but I know they exist. I don't feel your Stanley Kubrick/2001 comparisons is relevant here as 2001 had no financing/production controversies large enough to overshadow Kubrick's film itself. Even though you didn't know anything about the controversy surrounding MH when you picked up the DVD, as soon as you did an internet search on the film, that's pretty much the majority of information you found. It's what the film has become known for. I feel the editing of the controversy (litigation) section is bad for the article.

If you can dig up the interviews, that might be a useful addition, but I would be a little bit careful using only sources from Guam for this matter. Re: doing an internet search, actually it is not. Maybe you're searching from a Guam Google mirror, but over here, I have to go to the fifth page of Google results to reach the first webpage strictly about the controversy. Several critic reviews mention it, but not hard to miss in most of them except DVD Talk's, and they are all even farther behind the L.A. Times article. I had certainly never heard of the situation before I came across the Wikipedia article. Part of the reason for this is probably good SEO work by Amazon, eBay, IMDb et al, but nonetheless I highly doubt that the majority of people are coming to this page because of the controversy. @Sprinkler21: Sorry for the belated response, I've been really busy in the past week. Media from Guam are valid sources per se, but care should be taken to not show a Guam-side bias. In the coming days I'll try to find what Los Angeles assistant costume woman said to the PDN re: MH experiences. If we're going to say (or say Pyun said) that he had to "resort" (a negative connotation) to hiring Los Angeles crew and that he "regretted" it later (another negative connotation), then I feel it's important to hear from the Los Angeles crew. Re: "resort" and "regretted", I've changed it up a bit, I think this is more neutral, but we shouldn't hide that Pyun had an ill feeling about them.

And we shouldn't hide how the Los Angeles crew felt about Pyun. I understand that the cited source has been mentioned in the article re: Sean Skinner not being paid, but it also contains information not in the article: that a Los Angeles crew member (other then Coons) came onto the film getting more than he bargained for. This is fundamentally different then just getting talked into doing more work. The MH article presents different viewpoints with how GEDCA felt about things and how producer John Laing felt about things. Why not include information about how crew members felt about working on the film under Pyun especially if you're going to make a point about saying Pyun had ill feelings about them. Seems Los Angeles crew Coons and Skinner didn't think much of him either. To not include this is disingenuous and not presenting all sides. He got talked into working for lower pay -- that's not good, but hardly a crime. He was not paid, which presumably is some sort of a crime, but it has already been mentioned in the article. @Sprinkler21: Yes, that is my opinion. IIRC, Coons is the only person we've found so far in reliable sources who complained about the quality of Pyun's work. Second, I can't see why you feel that way about Skinner's situation. English is not my mother language, but I'm fairly sure of my understanding of that paragraph. Are you sure you didn't forget to mention another source here? If you didn't, feel free to bring this to WP:3O. Response to third opinion request:

It seems to me that giving more coverage to this controversy would be WP:UNDUE per the arguments given. The controversy seems to be too local unless sources could be presented which otherwise prove that it's not. If I understood correctly, there is a proposal to add Skinner "getting more than he bargained for" and Coons' complain about Pyun. I think it's fine how the article is: the mention "Pyun had to resort..." as well as the report that staff didn't get paid seem balanced enough to me. Further, I commend both the editors for maintaining civility and having a healthy discussion. Something like this is honestly, quite rare to see in my experience. I am not good at Slavic languages, I live in Hungary and Hungarian language is a bit of an outlier, not Slavic nor Latinate nor Germanic, it is just Hungarian. So I tend to encounter a bit of these things as nouns etc. but would have no idea how they conjugate or decline; your analysis at WP:RFD was a perfect example of explanation without being patronising (as I am probably being but don't mean to be, just wanted to say a sincere thanks). @Legis: I'd expect many countries to have something similar. However, IANAL and had no luck finding out if this exists in my country short of trying to read the law, and I suppose most other readers similarly won't be able to contribute, so the tag would really only elicit help from a small minority. To add to that, I've read the article again, and the English example seems fairly specific. If other examples get covered on Wikipedia, this one would probably be branched out into its own article, so I'm fine with keeping the scope of the article as it is. IP who blanks talk page discussions

In this edit, you said that an IP editor "accidentally deleted" a talk page discussion. This was not an accident. This IP editor is very disruptive and will occasionally remove talk page posts that he/she does not like. For example: here and here. If you see a Malaysian IP editor who blanks talk page discussions, especially ones about move requests, it's this one. I've had several of my talk page comments removed. Max Durocher - hostage, or chattel slave?

If Vincent were to say, "Drop that gun or else I'll shoot Max here - and you could never get a shot off with him in front of me" or "my ECG is hooked up to Max's vest right there, and if my heart stops beating, we'll all go up in a huge explosion" and mean any of these things, then Max would have been Vincent's hostage. None of the tasks Vincent forces Max to perform are hostage related except for Max's mom being Vincent's hostage. Max's mom is the hostage. You should read our article on slavery. What you want to describe is a willing accomplice (even though that is not true, Vincent threatens Max's life numerous times throughout the movie). A chattel slave, on the contrary, is a person to be bought and sold (hence "chattel"), while Vincent obviously didn't buy Max and cannot sell him to anyone. Hi Daß Wölf, on your oppose. Just to clarify, PC2 has no consensus for use here on the English Wikipedia at all (hence in some sense, there isn't truly an "existing" PC2 protection today), and no pages (outside of 3 test pages) actually use the current level, with concerns that it subjects far too many productive users to review, and does not assume good faith. Air Commerce

Hello, I appreciated a lot your edits at Air Commerce. There is just one minor aspect. You made a link to Donbassaero. The source I used says the Yak-42 was leased from "Donbass-Eastern Ukrainian airlines" (they use this exact words). I also made a search to find if there was any article for that airline and I didn't found any. I noteced the one you linked, Donbassaero, but there is one inconsistancy with it. Air Commerce used the Yak-42 in 1991 and 1992, while Donbassaero was founded in 1993. Seems "Donbass-Eastern Ukrainian airlines" was some other airline prior to Donbassaero, possibly its precedent, but possibly not, it is hard to know as there were literaly hundreds of new airliners appearing in former Soviet Union in those years and many of them opperated Yak-42 which was a very commum plane for short-range flights. I would also want to appologise to you for my perhaps hard words atmy edit-summary at Terrorism in Yugoslavia, I precipitated myselfthinking you were another user who also had "Wolf" in his name who ws years ago usually very active and tendentious against Serb-POV. Anyway, I do think you could adress the exact issuesyou believe make the artcle unbalanced and cite the sourcesyou find unreliablebefore tagging the article, which seems to be still in creation process by the author. @FkpCascais: Feel free to revert the Donbassaero addition, of course. I don't know the name of the actual airline in question, I was just looking for something to link to, and Donbassaero seemed to be a good choice as it was the only airline from that area and with a similar enough name, so I assumed that's the one. I admit, I should've done more research.

As for the terrorism article, I do think we shouldn't rely on Serbian and Serbian expat sources so heavily. The whole matter of Yugoslav politics and determining what actually happened back then is a quagmire even today, and there are a lot of improperly politicised works being written by academics hailing from all ex-Yugoslav countries, not to mention anti-Serb, anti-Croat and anti-Bosniak sentiment being pushed for political points. Personally, I'm not interested in any of that stuff and abhor politics in general, so I can't tell how accurate the article is and I would be glad to recuse from the matter ASAP. I'll AGF that User:Zoupan has done their research, but as the references and external links contain articles from Kurir, 1993 Politika and a Yugoslav Communist Party newspaper, I think it would certainly benefit from expert attention. Therefore I think I would not be wrong in restoring the {{unreliable sources}} tag for the time being. If you disagree, it might be for the best to bring it to Wikipedia:Neutral point of view/Noticeboard.

I suggest you consider presenting this draft for a merge proposal/RfC at the article's talk page; this draft accurately summarizes events in a much more encyclopedic style. I wouldn't be surprised if it is still opposed by the usuals but it establishes a precedent -- namely, this is how you write an article. Hi Daß Wölf, nice work bringing Species to GA. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Hedvig Hricak

I saw that you were a contributor to the article on Hedvig Hricak, and I was hoping you could help me with some revisions. I do have a COI, which I've declared on the talk page and my userpage. I've been working on improving the current version of the article to something a little more robust. I have a draft here, with some of Hricak's personal information removed (as it had been previously suppressed for privacy reasons), and some information on her research included in a separate section. I also created separate sections for her other roles, past roles, and accolades. If you have the time, could you take a look? There's no need for the redirect Free Republic of Verdis to be deleted and just so you know, Buzzara RTL is a reliable source. It's approved for Google Inclusion and is part of the RTL Group which is a major news organization in Europe. It is a reliable source, therefore things shouldn't be reverted on the dispute page.

Re: Ideas for a hook

I find multiple DYKs cool, but this particular hook is a bit hard to pull off. One might simplify "former international airport of Zagreb, Croatia" to just "Lučko Airport near Zagreb, Croatia", and I'd even drop the "MMA multiple world champion" description - he is quite popular and many people know about him, and while those who don't might be left guessing, that's also fair game for DYK (even if, in this particular case, Cro Cop is not the DYK target, but an ancillary link). A very insightful comment.[6] It is probably difficult for many people who edit large wikis only to quite grasp how different small wiki communities are. It indeed is the small-group mentality, but unfortunately that's not all. To use an analogy of sorts: just like Molise Croatian, being isolated from the development of the main body of Croatian language, appears almost frozen in the Middle Ages, the modern-day environment of many small wikis seems to resemble the earliest days of English Wikipedia - and not in a good way.

I've noticed that hr wiki editors have a hard time understanding the basic stuff: WP:V, WP:RS, WP:COI, WP:BLP, WP:GNG. It all seems awfully foreign to them. WP:GNG, for example, is, formally speaking, foreign to hr wiki, because there is no such guideline, but even the very concept ("hey, you've got to have at least some substantial non-primary sources") is incomprehensible to many. And it's not just delinquency to blame. I'm afraid it's going to be eternal Middle Ages for some wikis, and it won't be conducive to building an encyclopedia, at least not in the way we'd expect.
