NOWO (formerly Cabovisão) is a Portuguese private telecommunications operator, founded on 27 September 1993. In 1995 it obtained the licenses to start operating.

It offers Cable television, Internet and telephone services.

Until 2012 NOWO was owned by Canadian media company Cogeco. On 29 February 2012 it was announced that Cogeco had sold Cabovisão to Altice, the pan-European media group.[1]

Television packages can be acquired separately or in groups, through packages Duplo (Double Play) and Triplo (Triple Play).

Cabovisão offers broadband internet services under the Netvisão brand, using DOCSIS for standard packages and DOCSIS 3.0 for higher-grade "Nitro" packages.

Telephone

Using VoIP technology, Cabovisão provides telephone service.
