Stephanie Rose Bertram, or Stephanie Bertram-Rose, most commonly known as Rose Bertram (born 26 October 1994),[3][4] is a Belgian model.
Early life and family
Rose was born in Kortrijk; her father is Belgian while her mother is Portuguese, Angolan, and Senegalese descent.[5] Her mother signed her with a modeling agency when she was 13.[3][4] She was raised in Flanders, the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium, in Deinze.[6][7]
Career
Bertram was cast by the Dominique agency at 16[8] and first attracted notice in a photo-shoot with Juergen Teller for Jambox;[6][7] she has since appeared in campaigns for H&M, L'Oréal, Hunkemöller, Primark,[3][4][9] and Agent Provocateur among others.[10] She moved to the United States when she turned 18, and signed with Marilyn.[7]
She has been the subject of photo articles in Oyster, shot by Tyler, the Creator,[11] and in Galore,[12] and modeled for several fashion houses.[13] In 2015 she became the first Belgian model to be featured in promotion for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.[8]
Personal life
Bertram lives with the Dutch football player Gregory van der Wiel,[3][4][14] whom she met when she was 17.[15] They previously lived in Paris; after his transfer to the Turkish club Fenerbahçe in 2016, they moved to Istanbul.[16] It was announced that Rose and Gregory welcomed a daughter named Naleya Rose van der Wiel on 24 February 2018 in Toronto.[17]
