Welcome!

Hello, DaddyPayne, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Nasty-Nes Rodriguez, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted (if it hasn't already).

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Speedy deletion of Nasty-Nes Rodriguez

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Nasty-Nes Rodriguez requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. A tag has been placed on Chris Paul (comedian) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Proposed deletion of Man on Fire (mixtape)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Man on Fire (mixtape), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable mixtape lacking substantial coverage from non-trivial sources. Fails WP:NM.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. — Σxplicit 03:47, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The recent edit you made to Chamillionaire has been reverted, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. — Σxplicit 02:34, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Egypt (media personality) has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. Hello DaddyPayne,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Sly Boogy, may be copied from http://deletionpedia.dbatley.com/w/index.php?title=Sly_Boogy_%28deleted_22_Feb_2008_at_16:29%29. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

  • I've blocked you because of the article for Deadly Sins (TV series), where you included material directly taken from this press release. I was just going to warn you, but I noticed that you've already been warned about this twice back in 2009. There was a concern in 2013, but you were copying from a place that hosts deleted Wikipedia content so that doesn't technically count as a copyright violation. Wikipedia still cannot accept copyrighted material taken from any place, mostly because of legal reasons but also because the content is almost always very promotional in tone- which was the case here. I'm also fairly concerned that you also seem to have a history of vandalizing articles and that at least one of your edits since your first block were considered vandalism. I have to admit that I hemmed and hawed about how long to block you for, since some could argue that you could have been posting copyvio since 2009 and that it just wasn't caught. (Meaning that you could have been breaking policy over a long period of time and that your past history with vandalism makes this look even worse.) What's saving you from a permanent block is that you have made some constructive edits since the warnings for vandalism and that your recent warnings for vandalism do not appear to have been malicious in intent in the way that your earlier edits were, so I'm willing to believe that they were just unintentional errors and not vandalism. (IE, you read something somewhere and tried to update/change the information based on this- it happens very frequently and I've done it myself on more than one occasion.) However the fact that you have still used copyvio despite past warnings needs to be addressed. I've blocked you for a month. This isn't permanent and once it's up I highly encourage you to continue editing, but I do want you to understand that Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. Hello. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person (Brock Lesnar), but that you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on KING (R&B Group) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Your draft article, Draft:Kim Waters

[edit]

Hello, DaddyPayne. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Kim Waters".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Ways to improve Lady Shani

[edit]

Hi, I'm JamesG5. DaddyPayne, thanks for creating Lady Shani!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. This page has no sources to verify the information of confirm the subject meets the notability criteria. The only reason it's not being nommed for deletion is the external links keeping it barely in policy, but per WP:BLP this needs sourcing with footnotes.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

A tag has been placed on Melanie Comarcho requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1062098/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. Total Devastation

[edit]

Just to let you know, in your page creation of Total Devastation, you added Lauri Pikka and Jaakko Heinonen as members of the act but stated San Francisco as their origin and Hip-hop/rap as their genre. This is false because the members are from an unrelated Finnish metal band named Total Devastation but the origin and genre are about the American hip hop group. I've expanded the article though, and corrected the errors. KingAndGod 08:09, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, DaddyPayne. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

My account was hacked

Decline reason:

If your account was hacked, it will need to remain blocked per WP:COMPROMISED. The block is actually for copyright violations, and that is not addressed either. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 17:19, 20 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Now I understand why I was blocked. It is not right to use other people's material without proper citation, and that was my mistake. And now I am taking responsibility for my wrongdoing by apologizing. I read you loud and clear. The block is not necessary to stop me from causing further problems on the site. It won't happen again

Decline reason:

Either your previous statement about your account being hacked is true - in which case we will not unblock you - or you were lying in an attempt to deceive the Wikipedia community - in which case we will not unblock you. Either way, there is no point in allowing you to continue appealing this block, since it isn't going anywhere. Talkpage access revoked. Yunshui  08:49, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

So when you said your account was hacked, that was incorrect? 331dot (talk) 08:41, 12 December 2018 (UTC) [reply]

Hello, DaddyPayne. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Milestone".

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Lapablo (talk) 21:51, 5 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Pour Out A Little Liquor has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable. Fails WP:NSONG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
