Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Go Phightins! (talk) 02:23, 26 September 2012 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at List of The Simpsons episodes, you may be blocked from editing. Go Phightins! (talk) 15:42, 29 September 2012 (UTC)

October 2012

Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Davejohnsan (talk) 22:25, 7 October 2012 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at American Dad! (season 7). Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Davejohnsan (talk) 22:34, 7 October 2012 (UTC)

In order to avoid breaching WP:3RR, I highly suggest you undo your edits across these three pages and gain some consensus on the changes you insisting on making. Your continued reverting and apparent unwillingness to communicate with other uses are starting to become disruptive. Davejohnsan (talk) 15:13, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Psycho (1998 film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Norma Bates (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm Transcendence. I noticed that you recently removed some content from List of The Cosby Show episodes without explaining why. Diff'rent Strokes episode count

You have changed the episode count on the Diff'rent Strokes (and The Facts of Life) twice now. The original episode counts on both articles were correct. Please stop changing the number to include hour-long episodes or whatever you're doing. We just count episodes, period. We don't distinguish between hour long or thirty minute episodes - it's an overall count. Pinkadelica 00:59, 25 November 2012 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Davejohnsan (talk) 22:47, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

What makes this book you're citing any more reliable than the countless other sources that provide the same information in a less confusing format? And on top of that, why are you deleting the viewership rankings for shows that rank below the top 30? You're making huge changes to these articles; the least you can do is be willing to discuss it. Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Cheers (season 1), without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. To avoid edit war, please do not copy-and-paste one of its prior revisions again. I noticed it. George Ho (talk) 16:40, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Cheers (season 2), you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. You have done it again in another page. George Ho (talk) 16:44, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

That's okay

I didn't mean to give you standard templates. Still, you've been warned. I'm still doing season pages. Rather than make such removals, why not add and/or expand summary of every episode that you have watched? That way, it's productive, even when mentioning complete plots spoils the reader. --George Ho (talk) 16:58, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

You have been renaming titles with an ampersand "&". Rather than do that again, you may try to propose an encouragement to use "&" in many titles in either WP:VPP or WT:AT. Thank you. --George Ho (talk) 17:32, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
Almost forgot, you replaced "and" with "&", which is against WP:&, unless it is of the name of brand, like AT&T. --George Ho (talk) 17:33, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
Replacing "and" with "&" should not apply to titles, IMHO. However, I did not realize this from WP:&: "Ampersands may be used with consistency and discretion in tables, infoboxes, and similar contexts where space is limited." I hope we can pass through misunderstandings. --George Ho (talk) 00:48, 20 February 2013 (UTC)
In other words, you can use "&" just to reduce size rather than to justify fact/fiction. --George Ho (talk) 04:26, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

List of... writers/directors/etc.

I don't know why these lists are necessary, but this is getting out of hand. I wonder if you should do this rather outside Wikipedia, like creating a blog or something. I tried raising it in WP:VPP, so I was given advice to do whatever I want with them. List of Frasier writers is nominated for merging. I don't mean to hurt your potentials, but I would hope you know better than degrading Wikipedia into a mere carefree page full of trivia. --George Ho (talk) 00:04, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

Sorry, man. I'm just sorting out all the writers for certain television series. --StewieBaby05 (talk) 00:51, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
List of Curb Your Enthusiasm directors is nominated for deletion. You can join the AFD to improve consensus. --George Ho (talk) 01:20, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
How do I do that? --StewieBaby05 (talk) 01:35, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
Are you playing dumb? If not, then... find a banner in the page, and then find a link to the AFD. --George Ho (talk) 10:09, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

...I think I owe you an apology for accusing you of "playing dumb". I didn't realize that you were nominating pages for deletion. There are steps for you to nominate them, as said below. However, I wonder if I can add {{db-author}} to your creations for you. --George Ho (talk) 18:38, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

Sure, go ahead. And I realize it was silly of me to create lists of writers for TV shows when I know it's enough to just have episode lists right in front of me. I just have a habit of finding connections between TV shows based on the people who wrote for them. --StewieBaby05 (talk) 18:48, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

Articles for deletion

If you want to nominate an article for deletion at articles for deletion then you need to follow the three-step process given here. Just putting the tag on an article is only the first step and isn't enough by itself.

If you want a page which you wrote to be deleted then you don't need to use the AfD process at all - just add {{db-author}} to the article and an administrator will delete it for you. (Note this doesn't work if the page has significant contributions by other people.) Hut 8.5 15:24, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

Just to notify you, I've re-inserted the episode list that you split. Episodes of no more than two seasons are not worth splitting, unless the prose is too big. Unfortunately, prose isn't that big, and any computer, tablet, or mobile phone can handle such one big page, like this. In general, pages of two-season or one-season shows should have episode lists, which is now a common practice. You can discuss this in WT:TV, but I don't think they would support such a split on a list that... small. --George Ho (talk) 21:34, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

One question

I hope I'm not offending you. Did you use any other accounts before? If so, can you mention it in your user page, so you may be absolved from sockpuppetry? --George Ho (talk) 21:37, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

What are your two usernames? --George Ho (talk) 00:46, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
Drunkenpeter99 and Skywalker80. --StewieBaby05 (talk) 00:51, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
You mean Skywalker80100 or Skywalker89? --George Ho (talk) 01:25, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
Skywalker 80100, I think. --StewieBaby05 (talk) 01:59, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

In that case, you created List of The Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction and Green Acres episodes, correct? --George Ho (talk) 02:04, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

And also List of The Dick Van Dyke Show writers, right? --George Ho (talk) 02:11, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

Yes, I did. --StewieBaby05 (talk) 02:14, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

Removing AfD template

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with List of The Simpsons writers. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it. Snotbot  t • c »  23:20, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

I noticed that you failed to make a substantial reason to have it deleted other than "unnecessary". How about this essay: WP:AADD? Also, maybe you can try holding off deletion for a while on lists that you did not create. Therefore, your mind will alleviate and then focus on improving things, like season pages. I'll handle these lists, okay? --George Ho (talk) 00:56, 10 March 2013 (UTC)

Well, everyone wants to keep lists of writers of two shows. Also, administrator rejected my requests on tagging lists for you. You can add {{db-g7}} yourself. --George Ho (talk) 03:42, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

You can add back names of episodes to writers who wrote no more than five (or four). --George Ho (talk) 22:53, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

Cheers seasons

Just a thought: remember that I told you to stop disrupting? Well, I transformed table-ish codes into templates. Then I cut-and-pasted Cheers (season 6) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) from List of Cheers episodes without making complicated table codes. Maybe you can help me spin off season episodes into season pages, so I can expand later then. By the way, were you the person who expanded these Cheers pages? --George Ho (talk) 23:00, 9 March 2013 (UTC)

Plots of JAG episodes

Your changes at JAG -- your removal of the plots from the complete list of all the episodes and your creation of 10 new articles for the 10 seasons -- arouse my curiosity.

It's entirely possible that this bot made a mistake, so please feel free to remove this notice and the tag it placed on All in the Family (season 1) if necessary. MadmanBot (talk) 22:17, 18 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Cosby Show (season 1), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages William Christian and Robert King (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Splitting articles

I notice that you've been splitting episode list articles into separate season article. I don't see the point of most of the articles that you've created, as they don't provide anything more than was in the original episode list and make the reader have to search through multiple articles in order to find content that was all originally in one. However, this is an argument for a different place. What is important is that when splitting articles you must attribute content appropriately, per WP:SPLIT, which is normally done using {{split from}} and {{split to}}. You haven't been doing that. For a basic example of how this is done, please see Talk:List of NCIS episodes and the talk pages of the associated season pages. --AussieLegend () 18:00, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

It saves space on the episode lists. --StewieBaby05 (talk) 18:07, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
I've moved the above from my talk page to keep this all in one place. "Saving space" in the episode lists is a misguided reason. We split based on the amount of readable prose, not file size, and there isn't actually a lot of readable prose in the episode list articles. Strictly speaking, nothing in the episode tables is considered to be readable prose but, as an example, using a very loose definition of readable prose, List of Wings episodes contained less than 30kB of prose before your split. WP:ARTICLESIZE says that this amount of prose does not justify splitting the article on its own. Season articles should contain considerably more than simply an infobox and an episode table and all articles require references. --AussieLegend () 18:25, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

Splitting articles (again)

I see that you're still splitting episode lists. Please note that when splitting lists it isn't simply a matter of copying and pasting content from one article to another. All splits must properly attribute content split from other articles, and you don't seem to be doing that at all. Please familiarise yourself with Wikipedia:Splitting before splitting any more articles. You need to go back through every article that you've created, as well as the episode lists from which you've split the content, and properly attribute every one of them. --AussieLegend () 09:04, 31 March 2013 (UTC)

I'm only doing it because it seems more constructive. --StewieBaby05 (talk) 10:22, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
If I post here, there's no need to split the conversation by posting on my talk page. It makes more sense to keep it all in the one place, where it's easier to follow. Ironically, much the same can be said for episode lists. The articles that you are creating split content that was previously all in one place to multiple places and, in the vast majority of cases do so without adding any encyclopaedic content. The articles contain only an infobox and an episode list, aren't referenced, and aren't attributed correctly. As I indicated above, season articles should contain considerably more than simply an infobox and an episode table and all articles require references. By splitting the articles without attribution you're making it virtually impossible for editors to verify content in the new articles, which can lead them to being deleted. More importantly, you're forcing readers to look in multiple places for the same content that they could previously find in one place, which is not constructive at all. If all you are really doing is converting tables to use {{Episode list}} then you're better off just converting the main list and forget splitting the lists out to new articles. --AussieLegend () 11:14, 31 March 2013 (UTC)

Lead section of list articles

Per WP:REDUNDANCY, don't start articles with "This is a list of", as you did at List of The Big Bang Theory episodes.[1] --AussieLegend () 03:58, 1 April 2013 (UTC)

RE:Cheers seasons

You can make minor edits, but please don't make big adjustments without notifying me or discussing adjustments in talk pages. I've reverted your edits. --George Ho (talk) 16:55, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

Still, separating them would make too many unnecessary details. I had to combine two- or three-part episodes just to skim down the plot. Why would separating them be better than combining them? --George Ho (talk) 01:08, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
To further emphasize that they lasted for two or three weeks. There's nothing wrong with that. --StewieBaby05 (talk) 01:12, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Emphasizing the process has no bearing to page quality whatsoever. We are discussing summarization of three-part episodes. If a plot is very complicated, then parts may be worth separating. However, Cheers plots were simple and straightforward, so... let's be concerned more about plot summaries than scheduling stuff. Okay? --George Ho (talk) 03:21, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Nevertheless, depending on length of summary, parts could be condensed or separated. --George Ho (talk) 03:29, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Well, why should the episode list for Cheers be any different than other episode lists for TV shows? --StewieBaby05 (talk) 03:48, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Stewie, why can't you loosen up and then have common sense? Two-part episodes... I do encourage spoilers, but I'm more concerned about quality than so-called "tradition" of how episode lists should be done. Why being so fanatical about this? What's wrong with doing an unorthodoxy way? To help ease, I split a few (NOT all) episodes back to two separate episodes, but not for your sake. In fact, length is the main reason. --George Ho (talk) 21:29, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Since you were one of involved contributors of List of The Wire writers, perhaps join in discussion. --George Ho (talk) 17:01, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I noticed you are adding a lot of categories to articles such as Category:Dolby Surround 7.1 films and Category:Dolby Atmos films. Normally when categorizing, it is required that the category be supported by reliable secondary sources and in the prose of the article in question. There is no way to verify if these films are worthy of these categories, other than perhaps watching them and seeing the credits. Would it be possible for you to substantiate them with a reference? Thank you. Elizium23 (talk) 23:02, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
Well my best source of reference is the official Dolby website - namely the Dolby Atmos and Dolby Surround 7.1 sections. --StewieBaby05 (talk) 23:06, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
Best thing to do is insert a line of prose under the "Production" heading that "this film was recorded in Dolby Atmos/Surround 7.1" and cite those pages as a source. Then you can add the category. Elizium23 (talk) 23:18, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Donald Bellisario a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Robofish (talk) 15:49, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

I have reverted the edit you made. While you have good intentions, I don't think you have done enough discussing with other people first until consensus has reached. --George Ho (talk) 20:27, 17 May 2013 (UTC)

AussieLegend agrees with you, but I would hope that you value comments over vote counts. But I'll request closure when enough people voted and commented. --George Ho (talk) 17:02, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for stubbing out the season for Everybody Loves Raymond. You may not have time to clean up all of them which have been tagged, but season 6, season 7 and season 9 are high profile award winning seasons. I have added {{EmmyAward ComedySeries 2001–2025}} and {{ScreenActorsGuildAwards EnsembleTVComedy 2000–2009}} where appropriate. It would be great if you could help fill them in a bit.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:57, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for stubbing out the season for Roseanne. You may not have time to clean up all of them which have been tagged, but season 4 and season 5 are high profile award winning seasons. {{TopUSTVShows}} contains Roseanne (season 2) so that is also high priority.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 02:41, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

I don't understand why you created Barney Miller (season 1) and Barney Miller (season 2), but did not also create Barney Miller (season 3) and Barney Miller (season 8), which are also high profile.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 06:33, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

Happy Days seasons

I see that you created both Happy Days (season 1) and Happy Days (season 2), which JetBlast (talk · contribs) speedied (WP:CSD#A10). Although those season were speeedied, {{TopUSTVShows}} needs an individual article for Happy Days (season 3). I encourage you to create that article.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 13:17, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

Why does it need an individual article? --JetBlast (talk) 15:47, 25 May 2013 (UTC)
We know it was the number one rated show in the country. Thus, we know it has encyclopedic content that belongs there, in addition to the linkage for the template. I imagine a show that was number 1 for a season was top ten every week. Thus, we know we could go out and find the data to create a table for its weekly ratings. In addition, it will be consistent with other season articles by having a link directly to the season that matters for the template. It is also very likely that there is additional content to augment a ratings table for a show that was number one in the country. There may have been critically acclaimed episodes, performances or significant award nominations. In short, there is encyclopedic merit to an article existing for a season that we know was number one.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 16:11, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of The Sopranos writers may have broken the syntax by modifying 4 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 00:00, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Hello, StewieBaby05. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, List of Everybody Loves Raymond writers, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Surfer43 (talk) 04:25, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to List of The Twilight Zone episodes does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks!

Please Please be sure to give a reason when making a huge deletion.

Also, be careful when changing an article's title. It's a drastic "move." On WP:MOVE, it says, "It needs to be disambiguated in some way to avoid confusion with an existing, similarly named topic" --Musdan77 (talk) 02:19, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

Seasons for creation

Since you have an affinity for creating season articles, I thought I would let you know that I have expanded Wikipedia:WikiProject Television/Seasons for creation to extend back to the beginning of Emmys and Neilsen ratings.

Season articles

Please do not continue to create articles for individual season pages without sufficient notability, as you did at Six Feet Under and Oz. Simply having the episode list and various home media release dates in the infobox is not enough justification for the existence of the article. Please see WP:SIZERULE and WP:SIZESPLIT before creating anymore individual season articles to see if they meet the Wikipedia requirements. Thanks. -- SchrutedIt08 (talk) 00:22, 21 June 2013 (UTC)

I have restored the first three season of Six Feet Under which are obviously notable as Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series-winning and Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Drama-winning seasons.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 01:19, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
No offense, but it's quite silly if the only reason those articles exist is so you can slap an award template on it. The fact is, this editor is unnecessarily creating tons of season pages that have no content beyond the episode list. People shouldn't edit Wikipedia just because they're bored. Drovethrughosts (talk) 12:52, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
I have publicized this at WP:TV and no one has taken issue with it. I have also done some WP:DELREVs for award-winning seasons, where admins allowed the award winning seasons to be restored. Obviously award-winning seasons have a lot of encyclopedic content to be added. It is just a matter of adding it. Also, please direct me to WP:BORED. Never heard of the policy.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 14:14, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
Obviously I'm with Drovethrughosts on this one. Allowing an article with such a small amount of content to stay active just because its subject matter won some awards is sort of ridiculous. And it's obvious from StewieBaby's history with article creation that he has no intention of following up the Six Feet Under articles with any useful content. It's irresponsible of us, as long-time editors, to allow the articles to stand with only an episode table and some DVD release dates and no information about cast, production, reception/ratings, etc. If that information were to be added over the next few days or weeks, obviously the articles would become sufficiently notable and could stay. The articles should be re-directed to the main episode list and if someone wants to add that information some time in the future (something I myself would be interested in if I can find it) then it can always be restored. Until then, they are just taking up space. -- SchrutedIt08 (talk) 08:04, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
The reason I have restored the award winning seasons, is that it is clear these rise above the (if I can find it) standard. No one has any reason to doubt whether there is additional content that can be easily found.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 12:00, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
If it's so easy to find, then find it and add it. As the editor who feels the pages should stay active, the burden of justification falls on you. No one is doubting that additional information can be found; it's 1) The fact that the information wasn't added when the articles were first created and 2) That there's no reason to assume that anyone is going to be adding said information in the foreseeable future. If you're saying that you're going to find a whole bunch of production information, casting and filming information and all the other stuff we've already mentioned, great. Get it, add it and then the articles will have met notability guidelines and there would be no reason to re-direct them. If you're not saying that, then they should be taken down. Winning one SAG award and one Golden Globe doesn't justify the articles on their own. There needs to be a lot more information than that for them to be worthwhile. The episode list already contains the episode titles, directors, writers, air dates and summaries and also features the home media release dates in the series overview. That's literally all the season articles have going for them and it's all just repeated information. As for the awards, I'm sure the main series article already has that information; so none of the five individual season articles are giving us any information that wasn't already easily accessible somewhere else. That's the main issue. None of the articles give us any new information about those specific seasons. Until they do, it's all just waste of space repetition. -- SchrutedIt08 (talk) 13:38, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
If you are arguing that the only reason to have a separate article is because of "a whole bunch of production information, casting and filming information", I will be clear that I don't intend to find that. The award winning season articles are notable because being declared the best season almost always indicates a host of other awards and nominations in addition to other encyclopedic content. The fact that content may exist in another less focussed article does not mean it does not belong in these articles. By including these articles in navboxes, they are highlighted for editors as high priority articles and are more likely to attract editors.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 14:33, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

"Season One"

Per MOS:SECTIONCAPS, only the first word of a section title should be capitalized unless there's a proper pronoun. I have repeatedly reverted your edits in violation of this MOS rule, and have left several messages via edit summary reminding you of this. Davejohnsan (talk) 19:14, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

Same thing with leading zeros on start and end date tags. Those are completely unnecessary. Davejohnsan (talk) 19:25, 19 August 2013 (UTC)

Please do not revert legitimate edits without providing an explanation in the edit summary. That gives off the appearance of not assuming good faith, which can be seen as insulting. Davejohnsan (talk) 00:39, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

Let's stop the reverting and discuss there here, shall we? I don't think it's an unreasonable request; and I'm not above reaching a compromise with you. Davejohnsan (talk) 00:59, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
Your argument is that the crossover should be noted. I'm not disagreeing with that statement, but how many times do we need to note one crossover? This crossover was already mentioned in prose on the season 2 article, so I don't see your second notation as well as a completely separate one on the main episode list is necessary. Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Magnum, P.I. (season 1). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – List of Magnum, P.I. episodes. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of Magnum, P.I. episodes – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mork & Mindy (season 3), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Muggers (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Murder Police has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Canned without a single episode aired. This is probably all we're going to hear about it.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 21:38, 8 October 2013 (UTC)

Nomination of Murder Police for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Murder Police is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Murder Police until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 00:44, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

Season articles

I'm positive that we've already discussed this, but please do not create season articles that simply split an existing list. Season articles should include content that isn't in the episode lists (season specific production, casting, rating information etc) or else there is no point in creating the sublists. Your deletion of content at List of The Beverly Hillbillies episodes also changed the lead in such a way that it violated WP:REDUNDANCY. You made the same inappropriate change back in January.[3] --AussieLegend () 04:30, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

I am contesting only season 1 and 2 due to their notability and usefulness as number one rated show seasons.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:36, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
There doesn't seem to be any verifiable support for for the position that these two seasons are any more notable than the rest. In any case, if the season articles provide no more information than is already in the main episode list, there's no reason why they should exist. Stewie knows this but he persists in creating such articles. @Stewie, you've created so many of these articles that have been opposed that you really need to start getting consensus for each split before splitting. --AussieLegend () 11:03, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
As I've explained above, you really need to get a consensus to split articles in the way that you are. There is a discussion, linked below that you should probably participate in. Splitting the episode lists as you've been doing just is not helpful. There are problems with the splits that have been explained in the past, such as correct attribution, yet you do not seem to want to acknowledge the problems. I've started a discussion at Talk:List of The Beverly Hillbillies episodes#Splitting the article where I'm asking you to please justify splitting the article. --AussieLegend () 10:50, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
Please see the discussion pointed out in the thread below. I am only contesting those seasons for which a show was the number one rated show on television or for which the show one of the major best drama or comedy on television awards.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 16:08, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
I'm sorry, I was actually aiming my comments at Stewie. --AussieLegend () 17:00, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

Season splits

Please comment at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Television#.2BThe_Beverly_Hillbillies_.28season_1.29.2C_The_Beverly_Hillbillies_.28season_2.29_and_many_others regarding splitting out season articles from episode lists.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 23:25, 25 October 2013 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you.

I templated you with {{Uw-copying}} because you have been unresponsive to messages from other users, such as AussieLegend's #Splitting articles (again) (March 2013) and #Season articles (a few days ago). Please read, understand, and comply with WP:Copying within Wikipedia and WP:Splitting#How to properly split an article. The minimum wikilink to the source in the edit summary is required. I skimmed your last 500 edits and found many splits – well over 100 season articles created total, according to the full results – but zero compliant edit summaries. I first came across your splits at WP:Articles for deletion/All in the Family (season 1) in April 2013. Flatscan (talk) 04:31, 27 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of The New Batman Adventures episodes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Frank Miller. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

List of NCIS: Los Angeles episodes

I'm not sure if you noticed, but the list is titled List of NCIS: Los Angeles episodes, so it should contain only NCIS: Los Angeles episodes. We only include the NCIS episodes because they served as the backdoor pilots. We don't include crossovers. Instead, we mention them in the appropriate place, either in the main article, or in the season article, but we don't include specific details there. Please note that this edit was inappropriate. Per WP:BRD and WP:STATUSQUO, if an edit you make is reverted, don't simply revert. That's edit-warring. Instead, open a discussion on the talk page and gain consensus for your edits and, while discussion is in process, the status quo reigns. I know you are aware of this, because you were warned in August 2013. --AussieLegend () 18:03, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

Splitting articles yet again

I note that you've recently split List of Murder, She Wrote episodes and List of Magnum, P.I. episodes without providing proper attribution as required by WP:SPLIT.You've also been warned about this before, back in March 2013, again in March 2013, April 2013, October 2013, again in October 2013 and January 2014. --AussieLegend () 18:17, 20 August 2014 (UTC)

I would like to apologize for trying to create lists of writers by television series

I realize that you made some excellent points about my attempts at creating lists of television series writers as just being rip-offs of television episode lists. If it's any consolation, I've created a wiki for primetime TV writers. In short, I am sorry. --StewieBaby05 (talk) 23:51, 18 November 2014 (UTC)

My edit to List of Malcolm in the Middle episodes

I'm sorry if you feel that my edit was wrong, and I have self-reverted. It's just that I saw an edit that removed 115,390 bytes and instinctively rolled back what looked like a vandal blanking an article. Origamite 20:07, 8 December 2014 (UTC)

This kind of mistake is commonly averted by the first editor using an edit summary to explain why he's making the change. Elizium23 (talk) 22:03, 8 December 2014 (UTC)
It also appears that StewieBaby05 has copy-pasted the contents to new articles. This is a copyright violation because he did not provide attribution to the original editors of the article. Please read Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. This can be repaired after-the-fact by using the {{copied}} template on each talk page. Please don't make someone else do it. CCI Notice

Hello, StewieBaby05. This message is being sent to inform you that a request for a contributor copyright investigation has been filed at Contributor copyright investigations concerning your contributions to Wikipedia in relation to Wikipedia's copyrights policy. The listing can be found here. For some suggestions on responding, please see Responding to a CCI case. Thank you. Psychonaut (talk) 09:34, 10 December 2014 (UTC)

Further to the above, I note that you've already been warned here on your talk page at least seven times that the manner in which you are splitting articles is in violation of copyright. Wikipedia articles are free content, though when copying or otherwise reusing them (such as by splitting material out of one article and pasting it into another), it is absolutely required that you provide the credit legally due to the original authors. As others have already pointed out, there are at least a couple of different ways that this can be done. As far as I can tell, though, you have consistently ignored these warnings, and haven't fixed any of the copyright problems you've already caused.
It's very important that we get some assurance from you that you understand the problem with your editing, that you understand what needs to be done to solve this problem, and that you agree to always provide the legally required attribution in the future. If you don't do so, your editing privileges here will almost certainly be revoked. Could we please have a response from you here? —Psychonaut (talk) 09:41, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
I'm sorry for all the copyright violations I've caused.
I'd like to know exactly how to give the original authors their due credit when I create episode sublists. --StewieBaby05 (talk) 12:22, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
I briefly explained this on your talkpage back in early 2013.[4] --AussieLegend () 12:59, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
Yes, the instructions provided by User:AussieLegend are correct. If there's anything you don't understand about them, please let me know. Can we have your assurance that you will use the {{split from}} and {{split to}} templates from now on? Can you also help us locate all the previous cases in which you've split articles without providing the proper attribution, and help us apply the missing templates? —Psychonaut (talk) 13:52, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
Yes I can.
I can make up for my mistakes and help you. --StewieBaby05 (talk) 14:17, 10 December 2014 (UTC)
OK. We will be able to do this at a subpage of Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations, which I or someone else will open soon (within a few days, probably). In the meantime, it's very important that you use the {{split from}} and {{split to}} templates on any new splits. (Or better yet, don't split at all, as it seems from the discussions here that many people disagree with your splits.) Also, please don't reply on my talk page; if we don't keep this discussion in one place it will be impossible to make sense of it. —Psychonaut (talk) 16:18, 10 December 2014 (UTC)

If you want to truly rectify your past mistakes, I highly recommend undoing the various (hundreds) season articles you created and remerge the episode lists back to their respective pages, and then redirect the seasons articles to the list of episodes pages. I've already done the ones for List of The Dick Van Dyke Show episodes, List of Newhart episodes, and List of The Mary Tyler Moore Show episodes; but there's tons more, and since you were the one to make these articles, you really need to fix these mistakes, as it's unfair for other editors to have to clean it up. Thank you. @Psychonaut, just look at his article creation history, all splits will be there; though honestly, most, if not all, will/should just be redirected/remerged anyway. Drovethrughosts (talk) 15:37, 10 December 2014 (UTC)

I saw you redirected two of the season episode lists back to the article a month ago, which removed them from both articles, since it was transcluded. I substituted the list back into the main article, and was about to remove the links back to the season lists, but the other seasons still have separate pages. I thought I'd just ask for your thoughts. It might be easier to just undo the substitution and redirects. —PC-XT+ 17:48, 6 February 2015 (UTC)

Top-Rated Programs of...

Hi. I see you are making articles with names like "Top-Rated Programs of 1966-67".

I assume that these refer to US TV ratings? The problem is that they don't say this. If I wanted to be obtuse I could object that they do not reflect the top rated radio programmes in Mongolia for that year, the top rated theatre programmes in Albania for that year or even the top rated computer programs of that year as discussed in the IBM staff canteen. It is important to remember that Wikipedia is international and writing that may seem obvious to an American may have a different meaning for other people unless it is made fully clear what is meant.

Another big problem is that these articles are orphaned. Nothing else on Wikipedia links to them and hence nobody is likely to see them unless they are looking at the new pages as they get created. You can solve this by linking them to appropriate articles but I am not sure which ones, if any, are appropriate for this.

Anyway, here is my advice:

  1. Check the copyright situation first. If that is a real problem then the articles will all need to be deleted. I'm afraid I don't know the answer to this. Maybe the lists are copyrighted.
  2. Assuming that is not a problem, think about how you want the articles to integrate with other articles. How are people going to find them? Where should they be linked from?
  3. Think about how to make it clear what they cover. Do they need to be renamed? Maybe names like Top-Rated TV Programs of 1966-67 in the USA or Top-Rated US TV Programs of 1966-67 would be better?

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of fictional crossovers, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Yojimbo. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I don't know how you fixed these "Teleplays" and "Stories" on the NYPD Blue season articles, but thanks for the heads up!

Dear, StewieBaby05. You don't know me, my username for Wikipedia is Jp113040. Listen, I just want to say thank you for everything for the NYPD Blue articles that you'd been editing with these teleplays and stories as well adding the correct information in there, and I don't know how you did it though, but I have one question to ask you, by adding all of this information in the rest of the Seasons 8-12 of the series, where did you get all of this stuff from, the IMDB Pro website, or other various sites you've been on? I mean, I'm really impressed by your editing work on Wikipedia with the show of NYPD Blue, once again, and do you own any of these DVD's of the rest of the series of seasons 8-12, or you just went on a perfect website that had all the correct information with the teleplays and stories of the show? Huh? Can you please share with me? Well, anyway, you really inspired me, and you made my day. Please leave me a message immediately on my talk page when you get this message as soon as possible, thanks for everything!

Track listing for Jurassic World

I have removed the soundtrack track listing you have inserted for the above film in accordance with MOS:FILM#Soundtrack. Specifically, Track listings for film scores are generally discouraged since the score is usually composed by one person and the score's tracks are generic descriptions of scenes from the film. Noteworthy tracks from the film score can be identified and discussed in prose. Thank you for your understanding. DonIago (talk) 12:31, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi,

I want to thank you for your contributions on Chicago Med. However, I notice that you use the [http://# Title here] method. I would like to ask you to use the {{cite web}} method. You've been on Wikipedia for more than three years, you should be able to know how to cite references properly. I've had to clean-up several bare references you've left on various pages. Other editors shouldn't have to come by and clean-up after you. It's not hard to add a proper reference. Drovethrughosts (talk) 13:00, 19 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Whenever you add casting info for shows, as you recently did at Supergirl, you cannot copy descriptions from these sources verbatim. That is a WP:COPYVIO. You need to change the info to your own words, such as I did. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 23:45, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

Common courtesy

Common courtesy should dictate that when you revert another's edit, you provide an explanation for doing so. What did you on Law & Order was not only unjustified, but just plain rude. If you want to discuss the disputed content, I'm all for it, but I'm not going to engage in a silent pissing match with you. Davejohnsan (talk) 23:35, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
