  • Munchies - useful information about this can be rolled into other cannabis pages. Maybe a list of slang associated with cannabis use? Munkymu 15:25, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Gynaecide -- Rhobite 14:30, Oct 28, 2004 (UTC)
  • Pond — no potential imhomsh210 21:54, 27 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • I'd say there could be plenty to write about ponds. Man-made ponds have a history, and natural ponds are habitats for many living things. I don't know about architecture or pond biology, but i'm sure someone who does will see the page one day. Tristanb 03:13, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Filial piety fabiform | talk 14:04, 27 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Handle, just 3 dictionary defs (with no hope, I think, of expansion) and 1 redirect. msh210 22:46, 26 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • The maths article is already more than a dictionary definition, and i wouldn't want all links to handle to go directly there. It needs a disambiguation page, which is a list of dictionary definitions. Tristanb 03:13, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Sarcasm, it can't ever be more than a dictionary definition, correct?
    • Coz there's nothing more that can written about sarcasm. (Okay, sarcasm's hard to type. Dumb joke.) Tristanb 03:13, 28 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Diluent, as below.
  • Dilutant, simply an article with a definition and synonyms
    • Both Dilutant and Diluent have now been turned from definitions into articles. Keep. Nick04 16:47, 24 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Rebellion, in which a definition for "rebellion" is written, and then a list of famous rebellions and famous rebels is given. However, this list is by no means exhaustive, and I don't think anyone should try to make it that way. The number of big rebellions in history is so big that the list would end up being long and useless. It is better for this to be a Wiktionary definition instead of an incomplete list of worldwide rebellions. Gotalora 03:13, 23 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Genius, which (imprecisely) defines the term and offer a list of candidates—a process which is at best subjective. If the article could be reworked to include such things as scientific theories on the formulation of genius, it might have potential. As to a generalized list of geniuses, it seems that a wikipedia search into a particular area (science, literature, etc.) would, given the presence of a comprehensive article, yield its geniuses. Any such articles would likely be in a better position to define who is an is not a genius in that particular field. Besides obviously being a generic term, the label genius is just too general to provide the basis for a useful article.
    • Keep, yes it's generic and a vague term, but it's something people will search for and could provoke discussion. Tempshill 18:59, 21 Oct 2004 (UTC)

    • Keep. The bit about Athenian politics (could be expanded) makes it a non-dicdef. -- Kizor 17:12, 1 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • Move. It's barely a stub, and a redirect using interwiki links would be fine. Most dictionaries do have a little bit of the "history" of the word, but not enough to be encyclopaedic, just like in idiot. --TIB (talk) 03:54, Oct 3, 2004 (UTC)

  • Melée, unless anyone can add something significant about it. We'll just send the folks checking out meleé in Wikipedia to the Wiktionary wiktionary:Melée page because a few places do link it. Emperorbma
    • Or move it and other terms to hand to hand combat, and have a general (encyclopedic!) discussion. Martin 13:10, 1 Sep 2003 (UTC)
    • Would need to disambiguate the diamond and combat uses anyway, so the page appears destined to stay around.JamesDay 14:47, 29 Oct 2003 (UTC)
  • Nearly all the words linked from List of German expressions in English (anything that doesn't have more than a short definitional page). Note that the "see also" pages on French and Spanish words by and large are okay and don't need to be moved. (This was discussed on VfD and the consensus was to move to Wiktionary). --Delirium 06:35 16 Jul 2003 (UTC)
  • moiety, but don't use the definition there. Moiety is a standard English word meaning essentially "part", and its usage in Chemistry just follows standard usage, not any sort of specific jargon. --Delirium 00:01 22 Jul 2003 (UTC)

    • Please have mercy! Yes, it is a "dictionary def with examples of usage", but w*h*a*t__i*s__t*h*e__p*r*o*b*l*e*m ??? I'm really worried. KF 23:54, 20 Aug 2003 (UTC)
      • See WP:WINAD. It should be moved to Wiktionary. Angela
      • I've had this discussion before (see Talk:Point of no return), and I'm a bit tired of it. With the help of WP:WINAD (and maybe stub) you can argue both for and against inclusion in Wikipedia. Interim is a perfectly legitimate page. --KF 12:08, 21 Aug 2003 (UTC)
In Wiktionary. It's not an encyclopedia article, and never will be. It is a good dictionary definition, however. --Robert Merkel 23:00, 1 Sep 2003 (UTC)
  • Faculty. Reasonable beginning of a dictionary entry. --FOo 01:42, 2 Sep 2003 (UTC)
Strongly recommend that this stays in Wikipedia. The intricises of explaining and pricing these sorts of financial instrument are much better suited to an article rather than dictionary definition. Pete 19:01, 2 Sep 2003 (UTC)
Ok, I shall move it to Pages needing attention then. Angela
  • task --Robert Merkel 06:10, 8 Sep 2003 (UTC)

  • Praise - just a word definition. andy 08:12, 8 Sep 2003 (UTC)
  • Brazier: Appears to bew a definition rather than an encyclopaedic entry. -- Darkhorse 22:03, 2003 Oct 21 (UTC)
  • Cold war submitted by --Wolf530 06:35, 9 Mar 2004 (UTC)
    • Wikitionary may like an article on "cold war". Note however that a current proposal within Wikipedia is to redirect to Cold War and explain the general idea of a cold war as a prelude to describing the Cold War. The short definition can still be found in page history. Pete/Pcb21 (talk) 09:44, 9 Mar 2004 (UTC)
  • Yiff - slang term. no encyclopedic content.
    • Wrong. An explanation of the background and etymology of the word *is* encyclopaedic. -- Schnee 00:31, 12 Jul 2004 (UTC)
