I see you created new pages for the new federal ministries...

I updated the page List of federal agencies of Pakistan with them. Since the websites of the ministries haven't yet been updated, I guessed and updated what agencies are likely to be placed under them. You can update your pages with that information if you like. Regards. --113.203.196.207 (talk) 21:56, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

And you're from the Russian Federation? Wait didn't your page say you were from Canada before? Well, a Pakistani Canadian? And your name was Sikander? Hello from a fellow Pakistani Canadian! Why the change though? Kya choparah ho bhai? :0 --113.203.196.207 (talk) 22:02, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

Oh wait, my mistake. I was confusing you with the user Siqbal. --113.203.196.207 (talk) 22:06, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

And just wondering, why so much interest with our country Pakistan btw? Just wondering. --113.203.196.207 (talk) 22:06, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

Hi Saqib. Your page is a copy of one I have already made (Cabinet Secretariat (Pakistan)). Plus it lacks content in comparison to mine. Thus it should be deleted. --113.203.196.207 (talk) 21:35, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

Aamir Liaquat

Instead of removing unsourced content from Aamir Liaquat, you should be finding and adding reliable sources. After your edits, his TV career is in ugly shape. - Mfarazbaig —Preceding undated comment added 12:01, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

User:Mfarazbaig: I am working on the page. Please give it some time. The page will surely be in good shape pretty soon and meet Wikipedia's quality standards. --Saqib (talk) 12:05, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
I am just hoping your trimming/content removal won't reduce it to a stub or start class. One can always add [citation needed] tags instead of removal. Good luck on your efforts.- Mfarazbaig —Preceding undated comment added 12:12, 26 January 2017 (UTC)
User:Mfarazbaig: We don't need to add [citation needed] tags anymore when we already have a large 'BLP source' tag on top of the page. I guess its time to be bold and clean up the page to remove the unsourced and inaccurate material. --Saqib (talk) 13:01, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

Hi Saqib! Sorry, I couldn't edit the page for a long time, but he have not left the channel, as there was no official announcement. He earlier told on 13 August on his (last appearance) show that he will be going to Supreme Court (of Islamabad, but he lives in Khi and his show is also recorded from Khi) to file a case against filming of Indian content in Pakistan. Then he went Dubai to launch a branch of his business. It could also be possible that he is working on his film, as revealed in January 2016, also on 13 Auguat 2017 by himself. And today, it is reported that he will be seen in tonight's show on Bol TV as regular. Since, there was no official statements on it, people (I think) started making the guess-news after they saw a masked-voiceover in his show and actor Nabeel in game show. Therefore, any updates that were done during this time period can be reverted, and page can be made as was before. Thanks! :) M. Billoo 16:16, 30 August 2017 (UTC)

Sure. Go ahead and make the changes @M.Billoo2000:. --Saqib (talk) 16:19, 30 August 2017 (UTC)

Saqib, you opened this review over a month ago, but only wrote a few words, which leads me to believe that you are not prepared to do a full GA review based on the GA criteria or per the GA instructions. (Reviews should typically be completed within a week.)

Also, one of things you said was not only inaccurate, but it isn't properly a GA criterion: you say there are too many red links when there aren't any in the article, and red links are typically irrelevant to whether an article is a Good Article or not.

If you are not prepared to do a full GA review now, I can arrange for the nomination to be returned to pool of unreviewed nominations for someone else to pick up on. Please let me know as soon as possible; if I do not hear from you soon I will assume that I should arrange for that return. Thank you very much. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:28, 24 February 2017 (UTC)

@BlueMoonset:: I had just thrown in my 2 cents in the review. I let you arrange a new reviewer for the page. --Saqib (talk) 07:59, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know, Saqib. The thing is, when you open a review, it's supposed to be a commitment to do a complete review, not just make a comment or two. In future, simply comment on the article's talk page, or wait for someone else to open the review and comment then. As it stands, I'm going to have to have the page deleted as part of the return to the reviewing pool; no one will take over the review from you. BlueMoonset (talk) 08:07, 24 February 2017 (UTC)

Hi, the subst didn't go into the AFD log properly for that one, I removed it and put it back in at the top of the log. Cheers. South Nashua (talk) 20:16, 4 March 2017 (UTC)

Tariq Basheer Cheema

Your editing version read that Cheema sahab stood in a by-election in 2012 and lost. WHO THE HELL is providing you with such baseless information. Cheema sahab was elected as district nazim twice and then took part in 2013 elections and won from his home seat. There was a by election in 2012 for the MPA seat and Alhamdullilah PML defeated PMLN. New Page Review - Newsletter No.4

Hello Saqib,

Since rolling out the right in November, just 6 months ago, we now have 826 reviewers, but the backlog is still mysteriously growing fast. If every reviewer did just 55 reviews, the 22,000 backlog would be gone, in a flash, schwoop, just like that!

But do remember: Rather than speed, quality and depth of patrolling and the use of correct CSD criteria are essential to good reviewing. Do not over-tag. Make use of the message feature to let the creator know about your maintenance tags. See the tutorial again HERE. Get help HERE.

Help Understand Notability

Hi Saqib,

I had heard about wikipedia's rigorous scrutiny but didn't realize that it was this brutal. I am new & I honestly have a steep learning curve to go through. You're a senior and I would really appreciate your help in learning how I got here where my article is up for deletion & how can I get out of this situation. My page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zunera is marked for deletion because of notability. I was very careful when choosing to write about her

she is featured on CNN three times.

Editorial CNN Editorial Featured guest on CNN Zunera as featured guest on CNN 1 Zunera as featured guest on CNN 2

ABC News Twice ABC News Appearance 1 ABC News appearance 2

Express Tribune (Sister Publication of New York Times) Express Tribune Article

Sunday Magazine Sunday Magazine Interview

These are mainstream media publications of two very big countries US & Pakistan- how much more notable can one get than that? Kindly help me incorporate this information so that the notability issue is resolved & we can save this page from deletion.Thecapital15 (talk) 06:45, 2 June 2017 (UTC)

Response your email

Apparently the sockpuppet category was created now based on the sockpuppet template on User talk:69.248.91.135, in response to some edits made in 2006. The original sockpuppet user is now called. User:Saqib (usurped)~enwiki because you took their name. If you usurp someone's username then such confusions are to be expected.

I have now changed the category and template to point to the other username.

PS: I recommend trying to resolve on-wiki issues on wiki talkpages, not email. -- intgr [talk] 12:38, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

Revised History of Pakistan template

I took my Saturday off and decided to completely re-write Template:History of Pakistan. I'm almost certain the editor there (who I unfortunately have come to have known over the past few months) will revert my edits without any reason. The Overseas Pakistani article (which I also edited significantly 2 months ago) was also in the cross hairs of this particular editor who I will not name. Kindly let me know if my edits are acceptable. I have no problems with the template being edited again, but to revert the template to the previous one (which was extremely bad) would be criminal. I have also started a section in the talk page of the template article where I have given my reasons for editing. --PAKHIGHWAY (talk) 05:09, 6 August 2017 (UTC)

SPI notifications

Hi Saqib, thank you for your vigilance regarding reporting socks at SPI. One minor quibble, however, is that it is often preferable not to notify prolific socks that you have opened a new case (such as with Pakistanpedia). Although they are likely watching the SPI page, posting to their talk gives them a "heads up" that a block is likely imminent and a head start on creating new accounts (or becoming even more destructive) before a checkuser or admin can block the sock account. This is why notifying the sock/master is not listed as a requirement in the instructions. If the connection is tenuous between the accounts, or if the suspected sock is a trusted user, notifying them of the case is a good idea, though again there is no point in notifying the master account if it is an indefinitely blocked LTA master.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 20:39, 28 August 2017 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi

The article Shahid Khaqan Abbasi you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already been on the main page as an "In the news" or "Did you know" item, you can nominate it to appear in Did you know. Thanks @Royroydeb:. --Saqib (talk) 06:26, 2 September 2017 (UTC)
Hi Saqib! Congratulations on updating BLP of our prime minister to good article level. Good work!
I have something to say, maybe you have noted too. I think there is repetition of references, and some references are ordered wrongly. Like for example, "Early life and education"; 15 references only are inserted 29 times, with one non-ascending order like [11][4][2]. Can I check out there a little? Thanks! M. Billoo 19:01, 25 October 2017 (UTC)
Sure @M.Billoo2000:. Go ahead and fix it but please make sure you don't remove any reference. --Saqib (talk) 07:42, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
@M.Billoo2000: I have seen you edits but sad to relate that I am not satisfied with removal of mass citations. Many information that was previously well cited now giving the impression of original research. In my opinion, we should revert back to its earlier version to avoid getting it tagged with [citation needed]. --Saqib (talk) 07:54, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
Hi! It's OK if you think that I removed mass, you can re-add if you wish. Just recently, I had messaged on Talk:Don't Say You Love Me (M2M song)#Featured article? about same matter, and I got one reply too. One more thing, what is meant by reflist|30em? Thanks! M. Billoo 15:07, 27 October 2017 (UTC)
@M.Billoo2000: I have same concerns which BLZ raised therefore I am going to hard revert your edits but I believe this would in the best interest of the article. I don't think the article is over referenced and reference sequence should be followed. It is very important to provide multiple references (when and if available) to backup the information which is controversial and could to be challenged at some time later. I hope my reverts won't deter you from improving the article. As for "reflist|30em", we usually use it when we have several references. --Saqib (talk) 16:31, 29 October 2017 (UTC)

Hi once again! Above I said, ""Early life and education"; 15 references only are inserted 29 times, with one non-ascending order like [11][4][2]." which I have solved after you said, "Go ahead and fix it". Sadly after revert, this problem hasn't been fixed yet. One more thing I said, "URL=NYTIMES AND ARCHIVEURL=DAWN?? […and more…]", and this is still unfixed. Also some news outlets under the "References" sections fail MOS:ITALIC. I am afraid you warned another editor for making Fawad Khan a GA, but does this article too qualifies for being a GA? Well, I am really junior on this, please check. Thanks! M. Billoo 12:50, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

@M.Billoo2000: In my opinion, this BLP doesn't falls under WP:TOOMANYREFS but anyways I will work on it and try to minimize usage of references. And thanks for getting my attention towards the wrong references being archived. I archived the references using a tool so I assume it has made errors. As for italicization the name of publications, I will do that as well. I believe they are not many. In Spite of all these issues, the article meets the six good article criteria which Fawad Khan's page doesn't. --Saqib (talk) 13:23, 17 November 2017 (UTC)
@M.Billoo2000: I thought of letting you know that I have made changes to the article as suggested by you. see and let me know your thoughts. --Saqib (talk) 14:33, 6 December 2017 (UTC)

Hi! Please check my last edit. I don't know why section name comes in edit summary to cut off the limited characters of it.

  • I have checked, some of The News are still not italic there.
  • Please tag the page with either Template:Use dmy dates, to make the date formats same, so that the |df= parameters can be removed from the references.
  • I think that saying |language=en is useless, it doesn't appear ob screen.
  • Using |author={{Nq|}}|title={{Nq|}}|language=ur parameters instead of |title=|first=|last= in Urdu references is good, because in Urdu we don't break names into "last, first".
  • Dawn.com |url= can be shortened only to their page numbers, they are as valid as repeating |title= in |url=; and same in their |archiveurl=.
  • One more thing, what is the use of |ref= parameter if already "ref name=" is given, I think either of this is repeated and one can be removed.
  • Also, I think using |website= parameter (or like in ref#1 is written |work=www.thenews.com.pk) is good if all the references are like that. But as in this case, all should be same into either "|publisher=not italic" or "|work=newspaper italic".
  • In last, I have same complain. Please reduce the number of repeats in "Early life and education";
    • 15 references are given 29 times which appear (at least to me) as too many in three small paragraphs.
    • "Electrical Engineer"(ing) is still written 4 times, which appears repeated. It can be written, for example, as,

He studied to be an electrical engineer. He received his bachelors degree (B.eng) from ABC, after which he started his career. He became a professional engineer after receiving his masters degree (M.eng) from XYZ in Electrical Engineering.

Please check, Thanks! M. Billoo 13:44, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

@M.Billoo2000: I have made some quick changes. More later. --Saqib (talk) 14:35, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

Hi! I want to share some more points.

  • "Abbasi belongs to a family[18]…" Is this necessary to cite this part of sentence?
  • While editing for my earlier message, I changed a DAWN link http --> https, which I noticed later. This happened again today on HuffPost (The Huffington Post) link, though it also changed into mobile version.
  • Template:PKRconvert that is used in Wikipedia is too outdated, it cannot be used to identify the current PKR-US$ amount that varies. It may have changed a lot now since the template was last updated, and since the news was published. I think we should simplify them. Or 'if' we see references, is there conversion used of PKR-US$? Or if not, then either of the amount is unsourced.
  • Some refs, that I saw, have |date= parameter missing, more commonly in The Nation refs.
  • How to use bots/tools in wiki? Like, for correcting the date formats in the whole page. Also for correcting some unicode/invisible heavy-byte symbols. And like I saw you using #IABot for rescuing refs.

The overall code of page is too large that I don't want to open it in one attempt to avoid mistakes. That's why I prefer editing section-by-section. However, if the whole code is copied to Word.doc software, all the unnecessary cite news parameters like "|df=", "|language=en", and similar other things can be removed out by Ctrl+F / Ctrl+H. Thanks! M. Billoo 23:48, 14 December 2017 (UTC)

Hi! I was just looking at the page.

I haven't checked the page completely, but please you check and update, Thanks! M. Billoo 17:38, 17 January 2018 (UTC)

@M.Billoo2000: The page is still under development as evident from the history of the page, though I have made some changes as you suggested. There is nothing like Citation overkill in this bio. This is a BLP of a high profile politician and therefore all repetitive references are there for the sake of verifiability. Once I am done with the expansion, I will try to address rest of your concerns. Thank you. --Saqib (talk) 09:19, 18 January 2018 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer Newsletter

Hello Saqib, thank you for your efforts reviewing new pages!

Backlog update:

  • The new page backlog is currently at 14304 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a day.
  • Currently there are 532 pages in the backlog that were created by non-autoconfirmed users before WP:ACTRIAL. The NPP project is undertaking a drive to clear these pages from the backlog before they hit the 90 day Google index point. Please consider reviewing a few today!

Technology update:

  • The Wikimedia Foundation is currently working on creating a new filter for page curation that will allow new page patrollers to filter by extended confirmed status. For more information see: T175225

General project update:

  • On 14 September 2017 the English Wikipedia began the autoconfirmed article creation trial. For a six month period, creation of articles in the mainspace of the English Wikipedia will be restricted to users with autoconfirmed status. New users who attempt article creation will now be redirected to a newly designed landing page.
  • Before clicking on a reference or external link while reviewing a page, please be careful that the site looks trustworthy. If you have a question about the safety of clicking on a link, it is better not to click on it.
  • To keep up with the latest conversation on New Pages Patrol or to ask questions, you can go to Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers and add it to your watchlist.

If you wish to opt-out of future mailings, go here. TonyBallioni (talk) 02:16, 19 September 2017 (UTC)

Hi there, re: this, per your edit summary, there is no prohibition on citations in the lead, and in some cases references are very helpful not only for supporting controversial content, but also for helping editors quickly spot vandalism. I don't particularly care about the citations being removed in your edit--they're not particularly necessary in this case--but this note is meant to ask that you please not remove citations as a knee-jerk reaction, since they do have value. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:08, 23 September 2017 (UTC)

@Cyphoidbomb: I am aware that controversial information in the lead that is likely to be challenged should be supported by an inline citations, however in this case, there was no controversial information in the lead therefore I removed the source. I trust no harm done in this case but anyways thanks for the note. . --Saqib (talk) 19:24, 23 September 2017 (UTC)

Presidential election in Pakistan before

Hi The presidential election have been restaured in 2004. But before 2004, what is the electoral system for the president ? --Panam2014 (talk) 20:49, 24 September 2017 (UTC)

It's good that you have removed some references because of Non-RS, but Non-RS can sometimes be used to support television-related articles. I don't know why you are not told this thing but Non-RS are still used to support many TV-related articles. You may look at WP:TV and when you understand, consider reverting your edits on it. Also look at here. Regards, SahabAliговорити 12:01, 28 September 2017 (UTC)

Aamir Liaquat Crorepati Game Show

Hi! If [2] and [3] are not WP:RS, then what kind of sources should be added? I am always confused while treating a ref as reliable. The show is on-air since last Saturday, but no big news outlet reported it. These refs are not talking by themselves, they have linked the officials too as to verify what they have said. Can official website be added? And are these not big outlets?

Atleast, these sources (like Brandsynario, Mangobaaz etc.) not talk lie, they always--- or mostly prove by officials what they say. I haven't seen any mistake by them, that are sometimes done by Dawn and The Express Tribune. Please help, Thanks! M. Billoo 14:50, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

@M.Billoo2000: when it comes to citing references on the BLP's, I would advise you to be extra careful and not use questionable sources like Mangobaaz and Brandsynario. Both may have editorial oversight but for sure poor reputation for checking the facts and accuracy. No matter how popular these two sources are but keep in mind both of these rely heavily on rumors and personal opinions therefore I would never use them in the BLPs. I believe both of these are sensationalist and gossip-driven news sites, just like Daily Mail which we avoid using as well. I suggest you to see Wikipedia:Potentially unreliable sources. --Saqib (talk) 16:23, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
Thanks! And you gave a good example of Daily Mail. If talking about BLP, does official interview with these references work? For example, Aamir Liaquat's interview to Brandsynario, Ali Zafar's to Brandsynario and NewsLine Magazine. M. Billoo 16:46, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
@M.Billoo2000: See Wikipedia:Interviews. I think credibility of interviewer and source matters. I have no problem using interviews published in the Newsline but I would never use interviews done by Brandsynario. Likewise never use interviews to cite controversial claims and information that could be challenged. --Saqib (talk) 14:18, 18 October 2017 (UTC)

Hi! Do you know about recent knife attacks in Karachi? It is so much in news, I thought it should have been included on wikipedia. I started a draft on the topic. Though, every info I added there is verified by the references, but I am confused on how to arrange them; or say which reference can be cited to which paragraph. I think instead of removing anything from there, it could be improved into new wordings. This is my first try on contributing for recent crime-related-news articles, so that's why I am weak on it. Therefore, I need some help there to avoid WP:C-P and WP:OR, so that it could be moved to mainspace. Hope for your kind response and help on the draft/article, Thanks! M. Billoo 22:53, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

@M.Billoo2000: I won't be able to help much as I am pretty busy off-wiki, however here are my two cents; at a quick glance, the article reads like a news story to me. It contains Too much detail. You should merge "attack" and "police report" sections" and remove unnecessary quotations like those of Dr. Zaeem, DSP Shaukat Ali, SHO Zulfiqar Haider etc. "Reactions" section is too long in my opinion and needs to be trimmed down. I don't see a good reason to note down quotations and reaction of each and every politician. --Saqib (talk) 10:06, 4 November 2017 (UTC)

Abdul Razak Dawood

Saqib, first you deserve credit for creating this article on 21 January 2017. All I did yesterday was to try to expand it a little bit with a reference to a recognized solid business news website Bloomberg.com. I am trying to be courteous to you, rather than revert you as you did to me, and first ask you a question on your Talk page here. I am just curious as to why you removed some of my added lines when they are clearly backed up by Bloomberg.com website. For example, Bloomberg.com website says that he is a "Director of Pakistan Business Council from 2013 – present" and also the Chairman of Descon Limited. In case you were in a hurry and did not click on the Bloomberg.com website link 'Read Full Background' given below the 'Partial Profile Background' shown on their website, then you apparently missed seeing those extra lines that I am talking about? By the way, I do remember you fixing one of my Dawn (newspaper) links for me couple of months ago and I did appreciate your help (it was my fault and all of us make mistakes occasionally). I am just asking you to take another look at Bloomberg.com website's Profile of Abdul Razak Dawood. Thanks Ngrewal1 (talk) 17:58, 7 November 2017 (UTC)

@Ngrewal1: I really appreciate you taking the time to write me. It was mistake on my part and I instate the material that I removed. --Saqib (talk) 15:42, 8 November 2017 (UTC)

Moonis Elahi

Dear Saqib, you are editing the page very often but you are providing absolutely wrong information.

For example, you edit that "In 2011, Elahi was accused of corruption of Rs 320 million during his father's tenure as the Chief Minister of Punjab.[2]".

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was Chief Minister of Punjab from 2002 to 2007. Moonis Elahi was politically victimized and he voluntarily faced the trial and acquited by the honorable court.

Waiting for your reply of the said issue. The information which you have posted on the page is wrong. Please correct it. Kindly address this issue and don't spread the wrong information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Muhamamd Aziz Saeed (talkcontribs) 13:10, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

@Saqib: The information you have provided in the article is wrong. You must cross-check the information before posting. I urge you to correct it and don't make it a biased article. Thanks --Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
@Muhamamd Aziz Saeed: No. The article doesn't contain wrong information and is not biased in any way. --Saqib (talk) 17:29, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
@Saqib: Would you say that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was Chief Minister of Punjab in 2011? He was Chief Minister between 2002 to 2007 and he has nothing to do with NICL Scam. Moonis Elahi was only political victimized in this case. You must research well. --Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
@Saqib: You are not talking and you have not removed the wrong information from the page. So now I have no other option but to report you to administrator. Please comply with the WIKIPEDIA rules.--Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
@Muhamamd Aziz Saeed: The page doesn't says that Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was the Chief Minister of Punjab in 2011. Moonis Elahi was involved in NICL scandal as per this Dawn piece therefore the information will stay and won't be removed from the page. I suggest you to not remove the information from the page or you risk yourself being blocked. --Saqib (talk) 07:04, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
@Saqib: Your recent edit of the page has proved that you are making it a biased page. Would you tell me what was wrong in my edit which you have reverted? Don't make it personal.--Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
@Muhamamd Aziz Saeed: You are engaging in copyright violation by copy pasting the information and that's why I am reverting your edits. --Saqib (talk) 12:15, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
@Saqib: You once again deleted the informaton which I have posted. My information was from the same source which you are using. Your editing is proving that you are doing it purposely. You are not allowing me to add any thing on the page. My all information is based on a source and you should stop delelting my information.--Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
@Saqib: You are deleting the information which is authentic and from the reliable sources. You are doing it purposely and it is unethical and wrong. You are showing the one side of the picture and not allowing me to show the other and correct side of the picture.--Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
@Muhamamd Aziz Saeed: The article already says He was later acquitted in 2011 due to lack of evidence. so I don't guess why would you add a judge's remarks. I have added statement by Elahi's father. I hope you're satisfied now. I suggest you to avoid copyvio in your future edits. --Saqib (talk) 14:53, 30 November 2017 (UTC)
@Saqib: NICL scam has no link with Moonis Elahi's father's tenure as a Chief Misniter. NICL happened in 2011 and his father tenure of Chief Misniter of Punjab was from (2002 to 2007).You must research it well and you must remove these words from there.--Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
@Muhamamd Aziz Saeed: No. I am not going to remove critical information as you suggest. The information is valid and will stay on the page. --Saqib (talk) 13:46, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
@Saqib: You have again reverted my changes. My material is very much valid and related to the topic. Please stop reverting again and again. Thanks Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
@Muhamamd Aziz Saeed: why don't you stop citing unreliable sources? --Saqib (talk) 07:38, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
@Saqib: You must mention which citing is from unreliable sources. I have used the text from the cition which you have used but you still deleted it. For a proof you can check the history of my updates. I am not deleting your text I am just trying to elobrate more the topic for the better understanding of the reader. Let's make it fair. Thanks Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
@Saqib: You did it again. You have removed the whole section which I have created. All material in this section was verfiried and was posted with citation. Any comments? Muhamamd Aziz Saeed
The answer is on your talk page: User_talk:Muhamamd_Aziz_Saeed#December_2017. --Saqib (talk) 15:23, 4 December 2017 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Hamid Mir shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. @NeilN: Hamid Mir is full of biased and unreliable material. I was trying to clean this article and user Saqib is not allowing me to do so. If you just read Hamid Mir talk page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Hamid_Mir, you can see how bad this article is. I am just trying to improve quality of this article. I also explained this on his talk page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Saqib#Hamid_Mir. We should discuss content of Hamid Mir article and then edit it and remove wrong information. --Spasage (talk) 06:14, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
@Spasage: Please discuss your edits on the article's talk page and wait for other editors to chime in and build consensus. --NeilN talk to me 06:17, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
@Spasage: I don't think the BLP is biased. It contains full fledged "Criticism" section, though I agree the page needs attention and you're welcome to improve it however I suggest you to not remove information outright which is duly sourced via inline citations. --Saqib (talk) 06:20, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
@Saqib: What I removed was un-sourced and can not be verified. --Spasage (talk) 06:23, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
@NeilN: Should I also build consensus on statements which does not have any reference. People who do not know Hamid Mir, will believe what is written it in, this is my concern. --Spasage (talk) 06:23, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
@Spasage: The bit that was added back seems to be sourced. Anything that is unsourced can be removed and should not be added back without a proper source. --NeilN talk to me 06:28, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
(edit conflict) @NeilN: This paragraph is what User:Spasage claims is not sourced and trying to remove it, repeately which causing edit war. --Saqib (talk) 06:32, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
@NeilN: I will remove what is un-sourced.--Spasage (talk) 17:21, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
@Saqib: Lets make Hamid Mir a good ready and improve quality. Hope you will help, instead of impeding efforts.--Spasage (talk) 17:21, 26 November 2017 (UTC)
Go ahead. --Saqib (talk) 12:07, 27 November 2017 (UTC)

You have added unreliable sources tag on Sarmad Sehbai and Arieb Azhar. Did you find anything particular on these two articles. --Spasage (talk) 17:00, 28 November 2017 (UTC)

@Spasage: Both BLP's contains unreliable sources such as "fankaronline.com, youlinmagazine.com, rekhta.org, dareechah.com et cetra. Also IMDb should not be generally cited as a source. --Saqib (talk) 17:05, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
You consider rekhta.org as unreliable. Along with fankaronline.com, youlinmagazine.com, and dareechah.com . What is your criteria of reliability. --Spasage (talk) 17:09, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
@Spasage: why don't you take a moment to thoroughly read WP:PUS? --Saqib (talk) 17:11, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
WP:PUS does not say that sites like rekhta.org are not reliable. rekhta.org is the most respected site around. Others are also good source to cite. --Spasage (talk) 17:18, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
@Spasage: Sources which have a poor reputation for fact checking, lack meaningful editorial oversight, or have an apparent conflict of interest should be better avoided in BLPs. --Saqib (talk) 17:25, 28 November 2017 (UTC)

Chaudhry Moonis Elahi

Hi Saqib, you have reverted my first edit of Moonis Elahi and it is not a good beginning. You removed my content because you think it is "already mentioned". Would you please show me that where it is written that Moonis Elahi stood for two constituencies and won the both? Don't you think that winning from two constituencies is an achievement? Plz edit it or allow me. Thanks User:ShakirShah (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 07:21, 8 December 2017 (UTC)

On the page of Moonis Elahi please refer to the lines "He was declared a proclaimed offender for failure to appear before the investigation committee and as a result he was arrested and jailed". The impression to the reader from these lines may be misleading as they omit some vital on ground facts. The two facts to be borne in mind & worthy of mention here are that on Feb 23, 2011 the Additional District & Sessions Judge had set aside the earlier magisterial orders declaring Moonis Elahi as a proclaimed offender and that the FIA did not arrest Moonis Elahi, as he had assured to produce himself for an arrest. Please refer to the following news links. [1] [2] [3] I am ready to provide more news links or any other sources you needed. Please consider my request. Thanks User:ShakirShah (talk)

@Saqib: I am waiting of your reply on my suggested edit. Plz response. Thanks User:ShakirShah (talk)
@ShakirShah: I wouldn't want to go into too much detail per WP:BLOATED. --Saqib (talk) 14:17, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
@Saqib: It is not too much details. It is necessary to mention the facts. It looks WP:BIASED and incomplete. I request you to add the suggested material to complete the story. Thanks User:ShakirShah (talk)
@ShakirShah: Per this and this Elahi was arrested in March 2011 following the dismissal of his bail. --Saqib (talk) 15:06, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
@Saqib: It says following "Mooni Elahi presented himself for arrest to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) after rejection of his bail petition by the Lahore High Court (LHC) in NICL corruption case on Thursday, Geo News reported.Earlier today, Moonis Elahi, after hearing of the case at LHC, sought permission and went home. Later, he arrived at FIA’s office along with some workers of his party and presented himself for arrest."[4] and "Police did not arrest him after rejection of the bail petition and Moonis left the court along with workers of his party. About two hours later, he reached FIA's Punjab headquarters on Temple Road and surrendered himself." [5]. He surrender himself and was not arrested. At the time of his surrender talking to media, Moonis Elahi said: “It is not like him to run away and that he would face everyone.” Would you check these comments and links? Thanks User:ShakirShah (talk)
@ShakirShah: I will look into this. On a side note, the disruptive behaviour of your fellow Aziz Saeed has led the page of Elahi to be locked down. --Saqib (talk) 15:56, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
@Saqib: Cпасибо. I have no concern with the edits of the said user done. I am responsible for my edits only and I think that facts should be right. Why you protected the page? User:ShakirShah (talk)
@Saqib: This article also says that Moonis Elahi declared "Proclaimed Offender". It is also not a correct information. The true fact is that at that time he was not in Pakistan. [1] However, on February 23, 2011 this order was set aside by the Sessions Court, Lahore. [2] [3] [4]. Plz edit this information too. Thanks User:ShakirShah (talk)

Information icon Hello, I'm Elektricity. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Imran Khan, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Elektricity (talk) 07:59, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

@Elektricity: Have you bothered to check the sources before sending me this generic message? --Saqib (talk) 08:05, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
@Saqib every single one of them says its an unverified claim that is denied by the people close to Imran Khan. We do not include speculations WP:CRYSTALBALL. If it is indeed true, confirmation will be given, without confirming, we should treat this as gossip column junk. btw you should check out this source https://www.thenewstribe.com/2016/07/12/imran-khans-third-wife/ as well. Sounds familiar. I could not find any better(less harsh) message in the Twinkle drop down, and I was too lazy to just write my own and include the link etc. Elektricity (talk) 08:10, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
@Elektricity: I do not consider The News Tribe as a RS but the one I cited The News is a reliable one. WP:CRYSTALBALL also states "Predictions, speculation, forecasts and theories stated by reliable, expert sources or recognized entities in a field may be included." The story in The News was carried out by a well known investigative journalist Umar Cheema and I deem it authentic. --Saqib (talk) 08:17, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
@Saqib I think you may have missed the date on the source I quoted. It is july 2016, so this kind of news has been on the air for quite some time and we should wait until it is confirmed before putting it in the wiki article. I mean the article is not going to go anywhere, why put in something that may or may not be true, let's wait for like 48-72 hours and if it is confirmed we can put it in. Elektricity (talk) 08:22, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
(edit conflict) @Elektricity: You said " the claim is denied by the people close to Imran Khan." For your information, Khan himself denied the reports of his second marriage with Reham Khan in December 2016 2014 before confirming it later in January 2017 2015 so I am not surprised if Khan or his aides would deny fresh reports about the former's third marrige. Well I still believe the information should be mentioned under the "Family and early life" section, if not in the infobox. --Saqib (talk) 08:27, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
@Saqib You are quite right just not about the dates of course. The information about the marriage was added in december 2014 not 2016, but it was thrown out quickly and it was not until he confirmed the rumor that the inromation was added back in. (Is Daily mail considered a reliable source btw? Thier standards of journalism are pretty abysmal. Why should we not wait for the inclusion. I eman are there any reasons as to why we cannot wait 2-3 days? Elektricity (talk) 08:35, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
@Elektricity: Well Daily Mail was not considered unreliable until February 2017. By the way, I have rewrote the para and re-added the information. After all this particular marriage speculation has been making the noise since last year so I deem it necessary to note down, regardless of truth keeping in mind WP:TRUTH. --Saqib (talk) 09:08, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
@Saqib Well good riddance, they publish really substandard stuff. I have added the information from 2016. I think marriage rumors are a regualr gossip with this guy. Elektricity (talk) 14:01, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
@Elektricity: I think you have added some unnecessary and unwarranted detailed information, but otherwise it looks OK. --Saqib (talk) 14:12, 6 January 2018 (UTC)
@Saqib I removed the quote, looks fine to me other wise. Elektricity (talk) 15:00, 6 January 2018 (UTC)

Saqib-- Thank you for your e-mail of January 9. You had asked "I just wanted to check with you if this (WP:KITTENS) is a policy and creating mass articles are really forbidden?" The answer is that it is not a policy, but a summary of what's been the custom in creating articles en masse, based on common outcomes (WP:OUTCOMES) in the Articles for Deletion process. It's not a strict policy. There's a disclaimer at the top that says "This page is an essay" and "not one of the Wikipedia policies or guidelines".

Creating mass articles isn't forbidden, but in many cases it's discouraged. It's not discouraged in subjects where notability is automatically presumed (such as Wikipedia:POLOUTCOMES, where it's stated that a state or provincial legislator is presumed notable without having to demonstrate being well-known).

As a summary says, "Stub articles can be useful, but avoid mass creating stub articles." What brought it about years ago is that people would create lots of articles in a matter of a few hours, with no citations or links, and often with only one sentence, about things like every municipal police department in Nebraska (like Alma Police Department, "The Alma Police Department is the police department in Alma, Nebraska") or every large street in the city where they lived ("62nd Avenue is a street in St. Louis, Missouri located between 61st Avenue and 63rd Avenue"). The most infamous was the "Nation X - Nation Y relations" articles where someone was creating pages that they had no intention of working on, like Andorra—Nauru relations. Creating these was easy, but evaluating their merit case-by-case was a long process.

So, WP:KITTENS is not a rule, but it is a word of advice concerning the likely outcome in the Articles for Deletion debate. Summed up, if you choose to create a series of articles, you have to be prepared for the chance that they will be nominated for deletion and that you'll have to defend them (and I've had to defend my creations on numerous occasions). It's best to make sure that they have substance. If you want an opinion on an idea (and it's just that, an opinion) please click on my talk page. Mandsford 14:16, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

@Mandsford: Thank you for your detailed response. Hope WP:KITTENS doesn't apply to my latest stub creations today. --Saqib (talk) 21:14, 15 January 2018 (UTC)

Relating me with Akhuwat

I found Govt official resources to show you the notability of Akhuwat and you tagged me as a closed person to the organization. This is how to check Govt links of Akhuwat and Google News. I am not guiding you, I just telling you how I did. I have added many Article about Govt departments and universities, It never mean Govt is paying me for doing this. I hope you understand I adding a positive contribution. I just want to tell you Benazir Income Support Programme which is a large program for poverty allevation funded by Govt of Pakistan is operating under Akhuwat.--EShami (talk) 11:50, 13 January 2018 (UTC)

@EShami: An organization is considered notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, and independent secondary sources, not in government sources so please don't use government sources. Not only they violates WP:PRIMARY SOURCE, they also trigger WP:COI and compromise the WP:Neutrality of the article. Government sources would obviously glorify anything about government-run projects and due to very same reason BISP page on Akhuwat unsurprisingly states "Akhuwat, world’s largest interest free microfinance program." --Saqib (talk) 12:00, 13 January 2018 (UTC)

Suggestion

Hello there. Hope you will be doing fine. I need suggestion to organize MPAs biographies. Which one would be better, Category:Punjab MPAs (2013–18) or Category:MPAs Punjab (2013–18) or any other. Your suggestion would be helpful. Thanks. Störm (talk) 14:22, 15 January 2018 (UTC)

@Störm:, I think the former would be fine. Are you going to categorize the hundreds of BLP's that I have created today? --Saqib (talk) 14:25, 15 January 2018 (UTC)

@Störm: I would say go ahead. --Saqib (talk) 14:29, 15 January 2018 (UTC)

Saqib I tried to correctly categorize all BLPs accordingly so, I'm sure they are 99% correct. Störm (talk) 18:04, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
Saqib Sorry for the disturbance. Are you done with Category:Balochistan MPAs 2013–18 because currently there are 42 articles in this category whereas total MPs are 65? Störm (talk) 18:14, 15 January 2018 (UTC)

(1971) in chemical engineering from University of the Punjab and later received his Ph.D (1978) in chemical engineering from Nagoya University in Nagoya, Japan". I cannot see the mention of year 1970, 1971 and 1978 in the cited PDF source. May I know why are you adding original research to a BLP? --Saqib (talk) 17:12, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
Not each and everything can be referenced on Wikipedia. Only important things are referenced. We cannot demand references for all trivial things. If you think that's the problem, you can remove the dates.  M A A Z   T A L K  17:16, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
Why not? For your kind information, no original research allowed on a BLP. Everything must be cited to a RS. --Saqib (talk) 17:18, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
Important things are referenced, other things are left on editing skills. Not everything is referenced.  M A A Z   T A L K  17:23, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
Do you consider DoB important? Did you cited it? No. --Saqib (talk) 17:31, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
So, if I remove DoB, than I can remove the tags. right?  M A A Z   T A L K  17:59, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
No. The page still carry your original research. --Saqib (talk) 18:03, 27 January 2018 (UTC)
I've seen that you have removed all the OR work but you have still not removed the tags. Can you please remove them and end this little controversy between us. Thank you :) .  M A A Z   T A L K  18:36, 28 January 2018 (UTC)
This is where you have done redundant tagging. Even after removing OR work yourself you still haven't removed the tags. Even though you yourself stated here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Edit_warring#User:Ma'az_reported_by_User:Saqib_(Result:_) " I've removed some OR but the page still contains some. I'll resume working on it tomorrow and remove the tags when I am satisfied that there is no more original research". What do you mean by tomorrow?  M A A Z   T A L K  17:59, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
@Ma'az: I've removed the tags for now but seriously this BLP needs additional references independent of the subject for verification. --Saqib (talk) 18:12, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
Ok. Thank you for that :) . I'll try to make this article better, without any OR work.  M A A Z   T A L K  18:31, 30 January 2018 (UTC)

Primary Sources

Please don't remove primary sources. Primary sources can be used to support content in an article.  M A A Z   T A L K  17:25, 27 January 2018 (UTC)

Removing notability tag from page of 'Rizwan'

SohailTanveer91 (talk) 17:51, 29 January 2018 (UTC) Respected Sir Saqib, I saw your post on my talk page. The reason I removed this was I saw the notability standard of public office holders. The subject page's citations have in-depth as well as substantial mention in leading newspapers and government websites. The wikicritera states that the subject should national or sub-national office. Sir, the subject is the chairman of the country's national flag carrier, one of the most coveted slot and popular offices in the country. I hope the points I've raised upon examining the notability criteria are substantial and you will agree with me and remove the tag. You are a much more experienced wikieditor so it's your call at the end

I added ‘’underlinked’’ tag because at that moment the article only linked to one article, National Assembly of Pakistan. You undid my edit on 26 Jan with note that it’s already linked with 3 (but it was only linked to one article at that time). After reverting my edit today, you linked the article with 4 more links and after that you left a concocted message on my talk while intimidating me. See diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Farhat_Mohammad_Khan&diff=823118442&oldid=823117531. Before you added the material there was just one wikilink, see diff: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Farhat_Mohammad_Khan&diff=823117531&oldid=823020868. Why don’t you say in simple words you want me to be blocked? This is deceptive and wrong. Read https://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Terms_of_Use/en#Refraining_from_Certain_Activities.  M A A Z   T A L K  17:50, 30 January 2018 (UTC)

@Ma'az: I may have misread the tag but still the tag was not warranted. The underlinked template says "Please help improve this article by adding links that are relevant to the context within the existing text." I am curious why would you tag a one-liner article with this template when basically there is nothing to link to. --Saqib (talk) 18:01, 30 January 2018 (UTC)
I am new to AWB and this was what suggested by it. I'll take care with one-line articles next time.  M A A Z   T A L K  18:33, 30 January 2018 (UTC)

Sockpuppet

My apologies, I haven't had much understanding of how this works. When I saw the Faisal Javed Khan post which had him as a politician UNTIL now when as elected Senator he does deserve one.

What is a sock puppet?

Since I can't edit that discussion which is now closed how do I remove that sockpuppet claim?

Women in Red

Hi there Saqib and welcome to Women in Red! It's good to have a new member who is interested in covering Pakistani women. I see that you have recently added quite a few women politicians and that you have been adding Template:WIR to their talk pages. You might like to use Template:WIR-00-2018 instead; it's for #1day1woman, allowing coverage of women which are not specifically covered by priorities for the month. You can then also list your new articles on the #1day1woman page, which will make it easier for us to publicize your work. If you run into any problems or need assistance, please let me know. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 16:05, 9 February 2018 (UTC)

@Saqib and Tdslk: I've noticed some inconsistencies with the number of seats won and the majority. According to the Pakistani general election, 2013 article, PML(N) won 166 seats, which is below the 172 for a majority (ie: 342/2+1). 19 independents joined PML(N) bringing them up to 185 seats, 13 more than the required number. The math works for all of that. But the list article says PML(N) won 188 seats; was this a typo of 166? – Reidgreg (talk) 18:52, 17 February 2018 (UTC)

@Reidgreg: I am glad you took notice of this. As per this Dawn report, PML-N bagged 126 seats in May 2013 election + 37 reserved seats for women and minorities. 18 independent candidates joined the PML-N later. --Saqib (talk) 06:59, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

Presidential election

Hi I think we should create articles about presidential elections in Pakistan between 1965 and 2004. --Panam2014 (talk) 23:05, 27 February 2018 (UTC)

@Masterpha: are you interested? --Saqib (talk) 17:20, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
Sure! It will take some time but of course it would help. The current state of articles around presidential elections in Pakistan give the impression that there were no elections between 1965 and 2004, which is untrue. Masterpha (talk) 20:49, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

Sincere apologies about the edit war or if I had upset you by reverting your edit, I was not aware of the edit war rule and I should’ve discussed it on the talk page of the opinion polling page. Articles of people not notable

You are creating large number of articles about Pakistani member of federal or provincial parliamentarian. In most of them, you only have one or two reference. You have added reference [6] in articles Shahnaz Ansari is not even mentioned. In case of Shaheena Sher Ali, only Shaheena is mentioned. If I see something like this, I do not need your permission to edit that articles. Most of these people hardly notable. In most cases, this is what you have done. You used pas.gov.pk and couple of other websites where their name is mentioned. It is classic case of single source BLP. I am not disrupting, I am just trying to improve article. --Spasage (talk) 13:40, 15 March 2018 (UTC)

Can you please point me to wiki policy which says this. Only creating two lines articles does not make any sense. There should be some material. One can create list of parliamentarians page.--Spasage (talk) 14:16, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
@Spasage: I suggest you please get yourself acquainted with WP:N. I believe I've properly sourced each and every BLP I've created and not a single BLP is unsourced or cite dubious reference. And for your information, Shehnaz Begum and Shahnaz Ansari is name of same person. See this. --Saqib (talk) 14:22, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
@Spasage: the policy is WP:NPOL, but it is only one specific part of WP:N. Prince of Thieves (talk) 14:36, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
@Prince of Thieves: I copied this from WP:NPOL People are likely to be notable if they meet any of the following standards. Failure to meet these criteria is not conclusive proof that a subject should not be included; conversely, meeting one or more does not guarantee that a subject should be included.. So, it is likely that politician are notable, not sure. Politician should demonstrate notability. Being politician is good start but is only one criteria. Obviously politician have some level of notability, but they still need good deal of press coverage to be considered notable. Articles about politicians which @Saqib: is creating are in most cases not notable. There is no press coverage in most cases. Secondly, in most cases only one reliable source is used, other sources are articles with only name mentioned. Not sure, how notable this makes a person. --Spasage (talk) 15:29, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
Notability is not the same as verifiability, there is roughly no chance of any of these articles being deleted at AfD as long as the fact that the subject held a national or provincial elected office is verifiable. This is because the press coverage is presumed to exist, and proving coverage in a language most editors here don't understand doesn't exist is hard. Prince of Thieves (talk) 15:36, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
Do not agree with you on this. Article should have some content. These lesser-known politicians can be put in a single article. There is not much content on the internet about them. So, whats the point of article. --Spasage (talk) 16:04, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
@Spasage: If you've concerns regarding current notability policy, I suggest you please take this issue somewhere else (preferably NPOL. --Saqib (talk) 16:12, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
@Spasage: Do you not know about Wikipedia:Stub? Short articles are encouraged as useful starts to valid topics. Prince of Thieves (talk) 16:14, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
@Spasage: Those stubs can be easily expanded if you put some efforts, instead of making unnecessary fuss here. --Saqib (talk) 16:18, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
@Saqib: So make them stub. Whey they are not created like this. There is no need to be personal. If you are not doing something incorrectly, I have all the right to point it out. I still do not agree with creation of these articles and would recommend not to keep on creating them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spasage (talkcontribs)
@Spasage: I'm not getting personal, but you're definitely exaggerating stuff on my talk page. I believe my creations are perfectly fine and complies with the guidelines. If you feel my creations are not OK, please take this issue somewhere else, but please avoid populating my NS, unnecessarily. --Saqib (talk) 16:34, 15 March 2018 (UTC)

NICL

@Saqib: The information about NICL scam mentioned in Moonis Elahi page is incorrect. It says that "NICL scandal during his father's tenure as the Chief Minister of Punjab". The citations of this source is not supporting your information and not saying that this scam has happened in his father's tenure as the Chief Minister of Punjab. It was not happened under his father's tenure of Chief Minister it was happened when Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was the chief minister of the Punjab. Kindly correct that. Thanks. --Shahzad.bhatti.pk

@Shahzad.bhatti.pk: But this news item says "during his father's rule as the all-powerful Punjab chief minister". --Saqib (talk) 18:50, 15 March 2018 (UTC)

@Saqib: Does this link [7] qualify as a news item? This is not a news item, it is published as a letter to editor from an anonymous person. I think that you research more before establishing your point. I have seen your many edits and all are very much researched and authentic but in this particular case you are not right. Give it a thought. Thanks. --Shahzad.bhatti.pk (talk)

@Shahzad.bhatti.pk: And what do you have to say about this news item? It says Elahi "was accused of appropriating around Rs 320 million from the scam during his father’s tenure as Punjab chief minister." --Saqib (talk) 13:51, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion criteria

I have declined your speedy deletion nomination of Office Régional du Tourisme SAVA. There may be good reasons for deletion, but it did not come anywhere remotely near to satisfying either of the speedy deletion criteria you specified. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 14:15, 28 March 2018 (UTC)

Noted @JamesBWatson: I don't know which language is this so to me it looked gibberish. If this is not some gibberish, then indeed some promotional and non-encyclopedia stuff which is created by someone relates to the subject (User:Ortsava). --Saqib (talk) 14:24, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
For what it's worth, I think that not being written in English should be a speedy deletion criterion on English Wikipedia, but it isn't. (The equivalent is a speedy deletion criterion on many Wikipedias in other languages.) Because it isn't, I quite often have to spend time using tools such as Google translate to determine what articles in languages I don't know are about in order to determine whether they should be deleted, but just the fact that you or I don't understand a foreign language doesn't mean it is nonsense, so that speedy deletion criterion is not valid. In this case the language is French, which I do understand, so I'll go back and have another look to see whether it satisfies some other speedy deletion criterion. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 14:44, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
@JamesBWatson: OK, so I didn't knew about this one. Will surely make sure to use Google Translate next time. I believe this one fall under G11. What do you think? --Saqib (talk) 14:53, 28 March 2018 (UTC)
I think it was clearly created for promotional purposes, but it isn't blatantly promotional enough for G11. However, another editor has moved it to user space, so I think at present the best thing is to leave it there and see whether it gets improved. Your speedy tags

Hi. Like JamesBWatson above, I am concerned that some of your CSD tags are being placed too hasty, and are incorrect.

Today, you tagged Stanley Leisure for CSD A7 ("No indication of importance") one minute after creation. The article only stated the company title; presumably because the new user just wanted to save the page and was potentially in the process of adding details. I did a quick search and found a news report in The Guardian that mentioned the casino. Specifically, placing {{db-person}} was definitely incorrect; this is the name of an organisation, not a person.

In general, if you see an article that doesn't look like it can be improved, check for sources first. Even if you're not sure of where to place them in the article, park them on the talk page and hopefully somebody will look into it. Additionally, aside from G3 (vandalism), G10 (libel) and G12 (copyvio), there is generally no need to tag for speedy deletion quickly - it's best to wait 10-15 minutes to see what the creator is going to do. Pakistan articles

I applaud your efforts in this area. Coverage of Pakistan-related topics in English Wikipedia is patchy, and often very poor.

It is often much worse in the major languages of Pakistan. For example, compare Waqar Younis, ur:وقار یونس and pnb:وقار یونس. (Wasim Akram is another example.)

If you speak one or more of those languages, you might like to consider translating your additions to English Wiki into those languages (and making InterWiki links). I spend most of my time repairing links to disambiguation pages. (That's how I found you - there was a {{disambiguation needed}} tag on Ismail Shah.) I often look at corresponding articles in other languages for help (Google Translate is a wonderful thing). I have consulted more than 130 different Wikis; and have only once found useful information in Urdu Wiki, and never at all in either Punjabi or Western Punjabi. (If it's any consolation, that means that I have found more useful information in Urdu Wiki than I have in Hindi!) Regards, Narky Blert (talk) 09:51, 2 April 2018 (UTC)

DYK for Sadiq Sanjrani

On 6 April 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Sadiq Sanjrani, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that elected at age 39, Sadiq Sanjrani is the youngest-ever Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Sadiq Sanjrani. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Sadiq Sanjrani), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

I came across this article by accident. I can't imagine a housing society being notable unless there are some exceptional circumstances but I have no idea here, just alerting you as I've seen you tag Pakistan related articles before. cheers. —SpacemanSpiff 10:21, 7 April 2018 (UTC)

@SpacemanSpiff: I think this is a neighbourhood, not merely a housing society. --Saqib (talk) 12:32, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
