This article relates to the bullying of students and/or teachers (lecturers) in academia, academe, college, university, further education or higher education.

Bullying in academia has its own unique features although it includes some elements common to school bullying and workplace bullying. It is believed to be common, although has not received as much attention from researchers as bullying in some other contexts.[1]
