    Shortcuts

    Before requesting, read the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection and pending changes are usually used to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. Extended confirmed protection is used where semi-protection has proved insufficient (see the rough guide to extended confirmed protection)

    After a page has been protected, it is listed in the page history and logs with a short rationale, and the article is listed on Special:Protectedpages. In the case of full protection due to edit warring, admins should not revert to specific versions of the page, except to get rid of obvious vandalism.

    I've actually done this before, and the guy was blocked and I was told to come here if he starts up again. Well, he's started up again. For those not involved previously. I've been under attack for a very long time from this one fellow who was upset because he couldn't use the "colour" spelling in some articles. Since then he has vandalized both of my pages, spammed me on MSN, and even my deviantArt page. Well, I've blocked him on the latter, and it'd be nice if I could do something similar here. I've gone and reverted his last edit, but I can assure there will be others. My request is for indefinite semi protection, or something to stop IPs like this from vandlaizing my page.     • To find out the username of the admin who protected the page click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page" which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes".     Semi-protection It is possible to put this article in semi-protected mode for long period of time because it is popular with blocked users which are coming again and again. For this it is enough to see history page of article. Users User:Guivon , User:UstashkiDom , user:Brkic are blocked, user:Skoa is vandal which nobody has asked to be blocked.     Yet 3 days ago User:Yahel Guhan, claiming that the disputes were resolved, requested unprotection.[7] But now the same user, who claimed the dispute was resolved, is edit warring:[8] What's wore is that this user hasn't even used the talk page, (see history here).
