Before requesting, read the protection policy. Full protection is used to stop edit warring between multiple users or to prevent vandalism to high-risk templates; semi-protection and pending changes are usually used to prevent IP and new user vandalism (see the rough guide to semi-protection); and move protection is used to stop pagemove revert wars. Semi-protection requested. There's been a lot of vandalism on the article here lately. For the most part, it's been a big edit war between User:L0b0t and various IPs. The article needs to be protected so that the nonsense will end. Also note that Lemon Bay High School hasn't been the only Charlotte County Public School to be a recent vandal target; this article was also a magnet to vandals until a combination between the use of page protection and abuse reports crashed the vandalism party. This page was deleted and protected to prevent it from re-creation in August 2007. I'm working on Wikipedia:Suggestions for name disambiguation and have created a dab page for this surname but have had to put it at Adhikari (disambiguation). I would like either to move it to Adhikari (could do a cut and paste as there's no content, just a list, and presumably the complex page history wouldn't allow a simple move to that article title), or to create a redirect there. indefinite semi-protection , Due to this article being a "high school" wikipedia article, many high schoolers try to edit and place their name in areas such as "notable students/alumni" and many other areas. The fact that the article is about a high school does not automatically make it eligible for indef semi-protection; we have many other school articles with the same problem, but we also see many constructive edits on those articles that come from IPs. I'm not an admin, so I'm not going to reject this, but I think that this request needs to be rejected since it doesn't appear that there has been enough recent vandalism to warrent protection.
