*SbX Green Line
The sbX Green Line needs a page separate from the page entitled San Bernardino Express because the Green Line is a specific route of an entire BRT system in development by Omnitrans. The information on the San Bernardino Express should be amended to be a more general overview of the system. Information about the lines and network and the differences are already included on the websites that are/were cited on both the (now deleted) Green Line page as well as the San Bernardino Express page. -Snoopyloopy (talk) 05:58, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

Revision as of 05:58, 2 May 2014

Welcome. Please note that this page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions or rejected Articles for creation drafts), or in "articles for deletion" debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided at all.

This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions in the template or on your talk page.

Note that requests for undeletion is not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.

Enter your reasoning here and then click the "Save page" button below -Nobo71-Wikipedia.org 01:41, 24 April 2014 (UTC) I will create this article, please let my create the page and then you can think about deleting it.

It's apart of many people including, Rob Cesternino, Ian Terry, and Some of the other contestants.

 • It looks like it's still in the mainspace and will likely be speedied, but requesting this to be re-created before it's actually deleted is a little premature. Offhand I can't find anything to really justify it being on here, as I can only find one source to assert notability. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 04:54, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
 • In other words, I honestly don't think that this should be re-created even after it's speedied because it's highly unlikely to ever pass notability guidelines given that it aired in June 2013 and never received more than a passing mention here and there. Enter your reasoning here and then click the "Save page" button below -Omaether (talk) 13:15, 24 April 2014 (UTC) I have also listed this in the contesting of the deletion. In brief, Agosto is a real person. He has been an important part of downtown theater and gay history in New York. The fact that he has little presence on the web is exactly why he has requested me to make a Wiki page about him. Please allow this article to live. Honestly I do not see any valid and just reason why you would delete it. We are still in the process of adding links and references.[reply]

As per your request I have put in the text "Coming Soon". Please review the earlier drafts. I do not see how this content violates any of the rules you cited. thanks again John Hoge, NYC

Social Venture Partners now has a dedicated staff for digital media that will respond to the wikipedia standards and guidelines to ensure the article library about SVP and it's actions/programs/history etc comply and are a meaningful contribution to the wikipedia corpus.

Um... does this "dedicated staff" communicate through the "Benignfun" account, or some other way? ~Amatulić (talk) 19:20, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article was successfully WP:G7'd from a request I made out of spite that I didn't think the article met the general notability criteria well enough, partly influenced by some personal stuff. I regret making such a poor judgment, and would like it restored so that it may be tested by the community in time, instead of airing my dirty laundry. -Whisternefet (t · c) 23:56, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cardiff Council

I cannot see why the updated information can not be displayed please at it reflects facts rather than opinions. Please can I have a response a.s.a.p. Many thanks, Helen - comms2014 -

I have tried to post updated information on the Cardiff Council page for the past couple of days.

the informaiton included is purely factual informaiton about the new arrnagements at the organisaiton and do not have or hold personal viewpoints, I therefore request that my edits which have been saved yet again this afternoon are uploaded to the page a.s.a.p? The organisation official name has recently changed to City of Cardiff Council following the election of a new Leader, again, this is a fact and needs to be reflected in the Wikipedia informaiton in terms of the title.

I look forward to hearing from you.

thanks,

Not done because there is nothing to do. This page is for requesting undeletion of deleted articles. The Cardiff Council article is not deleted, and isn't even proposed to be deleted.
Because you are associated with this organization, your best approach is to propose any substantive changes on the article's talk page, in accordance with our conflict of interest guideline found at WP:COI. ~Amatulić (talk) 15:12, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

this page explains our company's history and mission. We are more than happy for someone to edit or revise, but we have gotten numerous emails from people who were searching for information about us on Wikipedia and unable to find anything -Bluemeringue1 (talk) 17:43, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Note: The page isn't deleted, therefore there's no reason to undelete it. Please follow the instructions on the deletion tag in order to contest (if a speedy deletion) or argue against (if a deletion debate) deletion. G11s also cannot be overturned here, as such pages would need a fundamental rewrite to remove all the promotional writing. Please see WP:Conflict of interest and WP:Notability, and ignore those emails from here on out. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 22:27, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It is deleted now (for the third time) and salted to prevent re-creation.
A cornerstone policy here is that Wikipedia is not a publicity medium. Wikipedia does not exist for your company's convenience or marketing goals. If you want to write an article about your company, please submit it through Wikipedia:Articles for creation in accordance with our conflict of interest guideline, because you clearly have a conflict of interest. ~Amatulić (talk) 22:41, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Would like to reactive previous draft of the page - The Erbsmann prize is a major recognition within the medical imaging community, that we believe, merits having further information shared on a wikipedia page ( see links on google scholar on high impact scientific publications related to the IPMI meetings, from which the Erbsmann prize is awarded: http://scholar.google.com/scholar?start=40&q=information+processing+medical+imaging&hl=en&as_sdt=0,5 )

Not done We allow wide latitude to what Wikipedia editors can do with their user pages, but so far you have very few contributions to the encyclopedia other than writing extensively about yourself. I also have concerns about the large number of family names you added to the infobox, because I'm fairly sure you didn't ask all of them if you could publicize their identities on a website. I can send you the deleted text via email if you wish, but you will have to re-create your user page as per our guidelines. Please pay close attention to the What may I not have in my user pages? section. WP:NOTSOCIALNETWORK is also applicable here. Finally, I deleted your request for deletion (the MfD you created) since that was the wrong venue to request undeletion. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 21:58, 26 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not done Both the contents of the page and the history of your account suggest that the purpose of the page is to promote its subject, which is inconsistent with Wikipedia's policies. Also, there is no indication that the subject satisfies Wikipedia's notability guidelines. We normally allow a good deal more leeway in an "articles for creation" submission than in other pages, to allow a chance to improve the draft, but when after more than a year no improvement has been made, there is no good reason for allowing Wikipedia to continue to be used as a web host for a page which is unsuitable as an article, especially when the history of the account that created it strongly suggests that the purpose of the account is to use Wikipedia for promotion. Not done The page was an unambiguous attempt to use Wikipedia for advertising, and as such could have been speedily deleted immediately after creation. We normally allow a good deal more leeway in "articles for creation" submissions than in other pages, but when an editor has had a few days short of a year in which to improve a draft, and in that time made no attempt whatever to re-write it as a non-promotional page, and when that editor's editing history also suggests that he/she is here for the purpose of promotion, enough is enough. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 08:21, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That's a very harsh assessment under the circumstances, James. My goal was to differentiate a number of companies operating under the same name, Neptune Society, in the same industry. As my article included information about 4 companies named Neptune Society--all competitors--I'm having trouble seeing how my article was seen as promotional. I'm certainly not promoting all 4 competitors in the same article. I don't see why the fact that I have little time to devote to wikipedia contributions should count against me. Pparkk (talk)

Not done and will not be done This is one of a large number of attempts to use Wikipedia to host a somewhat promotional page about a person who does not satisfy Wikipedia's notability requirements. It has been repeatedly created under various titles, by a string of single-purpose accounts, very probably sockpuppets of a blocked editor. You have been attempting to use Wikipedia to host this page at least since 2007, and you have repeatedly had it made clear to you that the page is not suitable for Wikipedia. Please drop the attempt. Mehgan James

It says that the Mehgan James page was deleted because there is reason to believe that she is not a real person. Mehgan James is indeed a real person who's has been on 4 reality tv shows and 2 national commercials. she has a real fan base . this is not fair to her fans. who would like to know and learn information about her -50.200.126.4 (talk) 08:28, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Note: The page was speedily-deleted under criterion A7. Pages deleted under that criterion are generally not undeleted because they require complete rewrites to be viable encyclopedia articles or because they violate our biographical or fair-use policies. That is not what an A7 speedy deletion implies, it implies that the article does not make a credible claim as to why the person is notable. Existence does not play a factor into it, and having a fanbase does not make one automatically notable. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 17:46, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ahsamkr. The AfC submission for this article was declined on 27 October, 2013 for the reason: "This submission's references do not adequately evidence the subject's notability—see the guidelines on the notability of people and the golden rule. Please improve the submission's referencing, so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia." Do you have a plan for how to fix this? Have you located any references that you could add to the article? EdJohnston (talk) 19:42, 28 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Not done - this article has not been restored because it does not appear to meet our guidelines for inclusion of articles about people. In general, Wikipedia considers a topic to be notable if there exist multiple reliable sources of information on the topic, external to the subject itself. Articles concerning people will be deleted on sight if they are considered to be unambiguous advertising or promotion, or if they do not contain a credible assertion of the significance of the subject. The article describes the subject as a 'practicing physician and a social personality.' EdJohnston (talk) 01:50, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What Was That or Suddenly Lost Summer

My guess is that the page was deleted for lack of any relevant information or details about the event. However, a rare radio spot for it and a poster for it have been found, allowing the article to be populated with some hard information. It was sponsored by Radio Station KSAN on January 31-February 1, 1976, it was "an acid-drenched flashback to the summer of love, featuring remembrances of those turned on days when all things were possible and little was probable; complete with interviews, un-released music, and horrifying shocks of recongnition." It also featured eastern mysticism and the saying "Turn on, tune in, and drop out!" -50.136.141.191 (talk) 01:24, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

 • They're referring to an event held/sponsored by a radio station (see this poster) back in the 70s. I honestly have my doubts about its notability because there is little to nothing out there about it. No true mention in books, highbeam, or even basic hits beyond poster sales. The most I found was a picture of the poster here, but we can't use it as a RS because the event itself isn't mentioned and besides, it's one of those "anyone can edit" sort of sites. At most the event could be mentioned on the radio station's article, although I'd like to have some sort of certainty as to which KSAN it is since there are multiple KSANs and the station numbers don't exactly match up with the ones listed on the poster (95). I'm pretty sure that it's this one, though. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:35, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

RE: [[Art Spiegelman}} and my consistent removal from his page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ladybelle Fiske (talkcontribs) 03:56, 2 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to again ask that I be included in the article on Art Spiegelman, my friend and boyfriend from 1966-1996 or so. His most recent book, Co-Mix, shows, in his "Grain of Sand" comics, going down one of the "I's" in the title (may require a magnifying glass), "I love you, Ladybelle."

Please see my discussion with one of the editors on this matter. There are also many images of Art and myself on Facebook, on my page, some of which can be found by running a Google search for Art Spiegelman and Ladybelle Fiske.

He and I were very close and I was the closest thing he had to a wife till he met Françoise Mouly in 1975. He also did draw some of "MAUS" at Quarry Hill, my home in Vermont, in my little writing cabin in the mountains.

Many friends of ours would be able and willing to provide statements as to my importance to Art. I don't understand why it is so difficult to get my name mentioned. I helped Art and Françoise create "Top Drawer Rubber Stamp Company," and the images were made by friends of ours who lived at Quarry Hill. Laurence Mouly, Françoise's sister, lived with us in Vermont (it is Vermont's oldest commune-- see the Quarry Hill Creative Center page.

Quarry HIll and I were an important part of Art's life. I will soon publish a memoir of my life which mentions the relationship, though by no means is the book only about Art. I consider him a friend and an old lover, famous or not. I too am not unknown in my home state of Vermont. To me, he's just a friend I once knew, not God. Thanks, Ladybelle Fiske (Isabella Fiske McFarlin) Ladybelle Fiske (talk) 03:48, 2 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
