    Shortcuts

    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here).

    This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

    Do not request that pages deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

    The talk page on the deletion of this article does not contain any discussion as to why no article on this sculptor should exist on Wikipedia.

    There was discussion of merging two articles on Evangelos Frudakis into one article. There was discussion of cleaning up the article because contributor Cher Skoubo admitted to having received a "small payment" from the Frudakis family for writing the article. But there was no discussion about the unworthiness of the subject to have any article. In fact the consensus appeared to be that he is deserving of having an article since he won the Prix de Rome and he has work permanently on display in noteworthy places, e.g. the Independence National Historical Park.

    The final comments on the article in the AFD discussion were that the article should be "draftified." I'm not clear why the article as it existed could not simply have been revised with adequate sources and references added. The last comments on the ADF page are from 2020.

    It does not seem that any discussion of the worthiness of the article's subject took place before the article was deleted. At any rate, no vote or consensus is recorded about the value of an article on this artist.

    Sorry, I did not write the draft. The article was not available to be seen since it apparently had already been deleted. I did not know where to locate the draft. I had read the rather over-inflated article on Zenos Frudakis and wondered where the article on his (perhaps more significant) brother was. Thanks.     Declined pending further information. This was undeleted over six months ago with a pledge that it would be worked on, but no edits were made to improve the entry for resubmission. Draft space is not an indefinite hosting service for material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia's article mainspace. We may be willing to restore it again, but only if you provide a definite assurance that you actually intend to work on it and provide a short description of what you intend to do to improve it to meet our policies and guidelines.     Alfred Akwawe Torkula was the Tor Tiv IV, supreme ruler of the Tiv people, the fourth largest ethnic group in Nigeria. At the time of his death which I decided to write this entry, I couldn't really find the sources I needed to make an elaborate entry, so I wrote a stub (two sentences or so) and used only two (reliable) references but it was declined. Since, I didn't have the time at that moment to source for offline sources which I was sure existed because I had come across a few in the past, there was little or nothing I could do but let it go. Well, now it's holidays and I'm in Gboko, where the seat of the Tor Tiv resides, and I have visited the Tiv Traditional Council Library and I have enough to do justice to the article.     @Graeme Bartlett I created the blank page in my own userspace to start writing something. I didn't create it in the mainspace. Btw, could you please tell me by looking into the edit history of the page if I had ever requested G7?     I would like to look at the article and decide whether restoring it or redirecting it is the best path forward.     Hello everyone. I hope all is well. I am going to be completely honest- I Have NO idea how to use wikipedia at all and I just wrote my first article today on an inspiring young lady in my Young Global Leaders program. Her name is Aya and she is remarkable and so many of us look up to her but she has little to no media coverage. To surprise her, I made her an article because she genuinely deserves it. She has had so many accomplishments at such a young age and has 2 businesses already, is invited to be a guest speaker at insane events like the world economic forum, etc. and everyone knows her in DC, Qatar, Dubai, Saudi Arabia and NYC. With all that being said- I worked HOURS on the article. It took forever and I did not even get the chance to save what I wrote anywhere and as I refreshed my page, the whole thing got removed. Im seeing it got removed because someone speculated that I am getting paid to write the article which 1 is an amazing compliment thank you but 2 I am absolutely not getting paid to do this at all- this was out of love and was supposed to be a gift for someone who deserves it. I am willing to discuss this with anyone and prove myself because I promise I am not doing this for any compensation. Plus its not even completely about them- its about the impact they are making in the world through their companies. They are working so hard to create social change and deserves an article. In addition, the article got deleted so fast within 30 minutes of me even uploading it and I didn't even get the chance to properly discuss why it was going to possibly get deleted before it did! I just think this is all unfair and I would have been more than happy to edit it or fix it if there is something genuinely wrong but as a first time user trying to do something nice for someone a lot of people look up too, I feel extremely disrespected and think this was unfair. Can anybody help at all? How am I able to view it at least so I can save what I wrote or better yet- is anyone able to help me get it restored so I can fix it? I am willing to do anything.     When Finno-Ugric countries was deleted with bunch of other pages, this redirect was removed as G8. Talk page discussions pointing here seem to indicate that there was a substantial article before it was made into a redirect.     @Mdaniels5757: There is nothing to restore in File:Sentinel High School logo.jpg.
    As for File:Sentinel logo.jpg, that was moved to File:Sentinel High Schoool logo.jpg in September 2011 (note the misspelling "Schoool"), and that file was moved two minutes later to the current image File:Sentinel High School logo.jpg.

    I don't think that's right, File:Sentinel High School logo.jpg#filehistory has the file revision dated 08:18, 10 March 2010 revdelled, which prevents a move to Commons.
    And could you (or another admin) please double-check Special:Undelete/File:Sentinel_logo.jpg, Special:Undelete/File:Sentinel High Schoool logo.jpg, and Special:Undelete/File:Sentinel High School logo.jpg for the revisions timestamped 20090914022324 and 20100310081827, which seem to be larger? Per page log, they seem to exist, and they should be at one of those 3 locations (I'm not sure how moving deleted (as opposed to revdelled) files works). I'll be sure to revdel any files the permission doesn't cover on Commons, of course.
