Kaho is a small village on the India-China border in Anjaw district, Arunachal Pradesh, India.

Location

It is the last village on in India-China border, and lies just north of Kibithu on the banks of Lohit River at an elevation of 1,240 metres (4,070 ft).[1]

The village has an Indian Army check-post.

Tourism

Kaho is unspoiled and has great natural beauty. There is a monastery for the local Buddhist population.

Demographics

Kaho is inhabited by the Meyor Tribes. There are 12 Meyor households in this village. Total Meyor population, including children, stands at 72.

Transport

The 2,000-kilometre-long (1,200 mi) proposed Mago-Thingbu to Vijaynagar Arunachal Pradesh Frontier Highway along the McMahon Line,[2][3][4][5] (will intersect with the proposed East-West Industrial Corridor Highway) and will pass through this district, alignment map of which can be seen here and here.[6]
