July 2020[edit]

  1. America Needs You nominated at AfD; notified Anotheruser384 (talk · contribs) 05:17, 3 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is a press release. The references , are either general ones about charitable contributions , or pure press releases
  2. Luchy Donalds nominated at AfD; notified MarkCarey911 (talk · contribs) 20:36, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: It does not appear that any of her films are notable ; ThereforeThe references amount to mere publicity
  3. Freeman Osonuga nominated at AfD; notified Kaizenify (talk · contribs) 21:33, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: This had no consensus a month ago. The individual claims to have received a number of awards, but it is not clear which are real, or what are the actual accomplishments. The internationally important Award claimed in the article is false. He was not named Time person of the year in 2014. A unspecified group of people, several 100 of them , were named "Person" of the year for their practical work in fighting Ebola . 3 or 4 of them were named in the magazine story's film on the web, which is the specified reference. he was not one of them. He might be one of those named in th print issue but that doesn;t make him Person of the year,
He has been named as a finalst for a spacetrip. He'll be notable , but only if he is actually selected and goes. He received several national awards, but I do not know how distinctive they are. He founded an advertising network. He was named on a list of influential people , among 100 other people some of whom are actually influential.
This is pure PR, which is bad enough, and reason for deletion. But it is also PR based on dubious claims, which is certainly reason for deletion, and, I would say, salting as well
  4. Juno Healthcare Staffing nominated at AfD; notified Maygrachelle (talk · contribs) 12:26, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: insufficient evidence for notability . Placement on these very unselective promotional is not sufficient to meet WP:NCORP: It needs references providing substantial coverage from third-party independent reliable sources, not press releases or mere announcements
  5. Vijay Kumar Berry nominated at AfD; notified Siddsg (talk · contribs) 16:23, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
  6. Public Oversight (United States) nominated at AfD; notified Lord Milner (talk · contribs) 19:02, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: pure advocacy, no references
  7. Hamish Thompson nominated at AfD; notified Florapostewrites (talk · contribs) 16:29, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is primarily self advertising, and there is no evidence for notability-- Except for two minor awards, and a number of mentions. Most of the article consist of his own claims for his ownwork
  8. Resident (company) nominated at AfD; notified GoogliGo (talk · contribs) 01:56, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Despite extensive editing, this remains essentially advertising for borderline notable company most of the references are blatantly and obviously promotional
  9. 2020 International Conference on Imam al-Maturidi nominated at AfD; notified TheEagle107 (talk · contribs) 02:38, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: individual conferences are not usually considered to be of encyclopedic importance.
  10. Draft:Marisabel Bazan nominated at MfD; notified Jess-Molnar (talk · contribs) 02:43, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: highly promotional article submitted many times without improvement
  11. Andrew J. Levander nominated at AfD; notified Mheffner201 (talk · contribs) 05:15, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: non-notable attorney. Involvement in a great many fairly routine cases. I think our usual standard is either extensive press coverage for himself not primarily in connection with a case, or involvement in cases which are notable in the WP sense, or head of a state bar association, or the like. None of these are present. Awards like best lawyers in America are pure PR, just like this article.
  12. Laura O'Connell Rapira nominated at AfD; notified Pakoire (talk · contribs) 11:33, 22 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: entirely promotional .I thought of afc, but i don't think this is capable of improvement.
  13. Meritas (law) nominated at AfD; notified Linzc 02 (talk · contribs) 05:46, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Does not meet current standards for notability off organizations almost all the references are just about people on joining or leaving the firm
  14. List of musicians from the Southern United States nominated at AfD; notified GamerKiller2347 (talk · contribs) 09:16, 24 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Impractical list; normally I would say that this a category & list should go together but this is one of the cases where a category would make more sense.
  15. Griffith Kimmins nominated at AfD; notified Merrick Sulyma (talk · contribs) 18:32, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: not my field, but almost exclusively documented to IMDB
  16. Draft:Monica Sedki nominated at MfD; notified Fady Nabil Ibrahim (talk · contribs) 04:25, 26 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Submitted several times without improvement. Purely promotional .
  17. Draft:Evan Nied nominated at MfD; notified 360nosc (talk · contribs) 04:27, 26 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: inappropriate autobiography of a high school student
  18. Draft:Back Office (company) nominated at MfD; notified K-Dubba-U (talk · contribs) 04:29, 26 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: repeatedly resubmitted advertising
  19. Rachel Zietz nominated at AfD; notified Gdwllhntng (talk · contribs) 04:55, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: There's a lot of fresh but all of it is publicity more like night more than likely because human interest .she has not yet done anything to be notable about so there's no real encyclopedia content possible. Note that newspaper and magazine lists of prominent young people usually amount to list of people who might possibly be notable someday -- though there are exceptions
  20. CuriosityStream nominated at AfD; notified Diamante55 (talk · contribs) 05:42, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: pure advertisement, complete with program listing, device compatibility, and prices. And name dropping and extensive links.
  21. Nebula (streaming video service) nominated at AfD; notified Lefton4ya (talk · contribs) 09:14, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: promotional  : in the plainest sense--a list of programs, and a list of those who have appeared on the channel--almost none of them individually notable

August 2020[edit]

  1. Agoda nominated at AfD; notified Princepete (talk · contribs) 05:11, 1 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Half of this is a series of press releases, which is not encyclopedic material. The second half is a collection of consumer complaints, which are also not encyclopedic material.
  2. Xero (company) nominated at AfD; notified Benkepes (talk · contribs) 00:27, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is essentially an advertisement for a dubiously notable firm. The references are almost all press releases, notices of funding, notices of new products, notices of trivial awards, and promotional interviews
  3. ThinkShutter nominated at AfD; notified Trigenibinion (talk · contribs) 22:07, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: utterly trivial, not evenworth a redirect
  4. Draft:Jindal Stainless nominated at MfD; notified Cherryy23 (talk · contribs) 22:21, 6 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Deceptive promotional article start by sockpuppet and continued by ip's. See note on article for the deception.
  5. Draft:Amari Fields nominated at MfD; notified BlogWorthy12 (talk · contribs) 17:04, 12 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: submitted 5 times; no real improvement; no chance of notability
  6. Burnet Maybank III nominated at AfD; notified Fogdog59 (talk · contribs) 00:48, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: promotional article based upon unsourced clams and promotional sources. Best Lawyers in America is not a reliable source for notability. Relative minor public positions, relatively minor community activities and awards/ (I tried to fix the promotionalism , but found there was almost nothing left.)
  7. Transworld Educare nominated at AfD; notified Raghav93 (talk · contribs) 05:51, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: inadequate reliable refs for notability --the refs are basically PR, and so is the article.
  8. Tata Harper nominated at AfD; notified Dr. Daniel Charles (talk · contribs) 09:19, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: promotional article based on entirely promotional sources. Thje best of them is BBC, but that's a mdel of a promotional intervieww where she says what she thinks about her own business, without any analysis, from an article series designed to let a variety of business leaders do just that. That's not RS journalism, but PR. The other references are even less subtle about it. The only notability here is perhaps her PR company.
  9. Stewart Francis Alexander nominated at AfD; notified Vinayaraj (talk · contribs) 21:33, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
  10. Draft:Nixs News Tamil nominated at MfD; notified Diwakaran1dan (talk · contribs) 01:27, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Reject 4 times ( now 5, counting myself). No improvement or hope for an article.
  11. Forget Self-Help nominated at AfD; notified Billywhite86 (talk · contribs) 02:18, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: no apparent major reviews, and not worth a separate article.
  12. Draft:Jayden Armenson nominated at MfD; notified Sap2001a1007 (talk · contribs) 20:53, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: hopeless personal promotionalism
  13. Smartwings QS-1125 nominated at AfD; notified Yohananw (talk · contribs) 05:08, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: I do not see how that is compatible with WP:AVIATION "The accident was fatal to humans; or The accident involved hull loss or serious damage to the aircraft or airport; or The accident or incident resulted in changes to procedures, regulations or processes affecting airports, airlines or the aircraft industry." (but this is not my area of work here, so I leave it to the community to decide)
  14. Jen Perelman nominated at AfD; notified Stefania0 (talk · contribs) 05:36, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Normally, a defeated candidate for a primary election is non-notable. The question here is whether the local coverage of the campaign is sufficient in this case, and whether the inclusion of the material about the police report meets BLP. I have no fixed opinion, and leave it to the community.
  15. The Current Sea nominated at AfD; notified Bagelcreamcheese (talk · contribs) 21:39, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: non-notable advertising for non-notable advertising consultancy. Apparent coi.
  16. THAT Agency nominated at AfD; notified Caseykurlander (talk · contribs) 21:40, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Pure advertising, cited to promotional interviews and promotional awards
  17. Freedom Center (mental health organization) nominated at AfD; notified Wiltonhall (talk · contribs) 21:42, 27 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: advertising for a charity--purely promotional style more suited for its web page.
  18. War of the stop signs nominated at AfD; notified Robot8A (talk · contribs) 10:50, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: trivial one event
  19. Edward Weld (Senior) nominated at AfD; notified Po Mieczu (talk · contribs) 20:52, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: loal notable, involved in a fe trivial incidents. No lasting influence on the historical record

September 2020[edit]

  1. Cinzia Moniaci nominated at AfD; notified Maxman732 (talk · contribs) 01:29, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: not my field, but the notability seems to rest on press releases
  2. EvAngelos Frudakis nominated at AfD; notified Cher Skoubo (talk · contribs) 01:34, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: no evidence of meeting criteria for visual artists--no evidence of work in major museum, or critical studies
  3. Murder of Hanna Mack nominated at AfD; notified Heidil37 (talk · contribs) 01:37, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: NOT NEWS. -- no general significance WP is not a list of murder victims.
  4. List of Tamil films dubbed by Sreeja Ravi nominated at AfD; notified Sidrosh (talk · contribs) 09:29, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: unnecessary list, WP is not IMdB.
  5. List of other language films dubbed by Sreeja Ravi nominated at AfD; notified Sidrosh (talk · contribs) 09:29, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: unnecessary list, WP is not IMdB.
  6. Alberto Crescenti nominated at AfD; notified Flipwared (talk · contribs) 09:44, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: no evidence of particular notability
  7. Edith Dale Monson nominated at AfD; notified NadhirNazree92 (talk · contribs) 09:44, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Does not meeet criteria for WP:CREATIVE
  8. Devin R. Pepper nominated at AfD; notified AFLBulawan (talk · contribs) 09:47, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: does not meet criteria for WP:MILITARY -- no major commands, not yet of General rank
  9. Mitratech Holdings Inc. nominated at AfD; notified Jonasrave (talk · contribs) 18:10, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: does not meet WP:NCORP. Every reference is a notice or a press release, or a mention of it in another context or a PRcelebration that someone bought their package
  10. Michael K. Obeng nominated at AfD; notified Fattysmokes (talk · contribs) 18:15, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: PR from an undeclared paid editor. Fails WP:PROF--just one publication; the references are basically press releases. The reason there are so many is they are copies of the same PR published in multiple papers. Most of the pr is because he has operated on some celebrities like most plastic surgeons in his geographic area. .

Minor charitable work, man

  1. Axis Forex Online nominated at AfD; notified Jonasrave (talk · contribs) 18:25, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: promotional only page by known undeclared page editor in violation of tou -- the contents is all pr and would be a candidate for deletion no matter who has written it.
  2. Draft:Brad Perrott nominated at MfD; notified Rohishaw1999 (talk · contribs) 18:51, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: attempt from now banned undeclared paid editor
  3. User:Rohishaw1999/sandbox nominated at MfD; notified Rohishaw1999 (talk · contribs) 18:52, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: attempt from now banned undeclared paid editor
  4. DJ Pope nominated at AfD; notified Andreapereznov (talk · contribs) 23:30, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: G11 declined by another editor because it was not really exclusively promotional. Not a field where I know enough to judge notability, so I'm sending it here to afd for a community decision.
  5. Yixi Chen nominated at AfD; notified Torpedonista78 (talk · contribs) 01:00, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: It is conceivable that his company is notable, but clear that he individually not. 30 under 30 is a pr award, and does not indicate even importance.
  6. Osuolale Farouq nominated at AfD; notified Uyimwen1981 (talk · contribs) 04:06, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: pr. The apparently impressive references are PR or copies of pr, and do not show notability
  7. Warriors Day Parade nominated at AfD; notified Michael Dorosh (talk · contribs) 08:42, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: I see no evidence of notability for this event in the article as accepted, but perhaps these is evidence elsewhere
  8. Men of METRO nominated at AfD; notified Lightofdiogenes (talk · contribs) 09:56, 5 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: individual college organizations of this sort are not usually considered notable
  9. Template:NotablityEstablished nominated at TfD; notified Nemonoman (talk · contribs) 00:49, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: I can think of no proper use for this template; it seems to have been added to the top of articles or talk pages by a total of 3 editors.
  10. Buck’s Store Museum nominated at AfD; notified Grantwong22 (talk · contribs) 21:53, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: All links appear to be PR or notices from the immediate area.
  11. CloudApp nominated at AfD; notified Veolkians (talk · contribs) 03:10, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Roputineproduct, with routine pr and notices, but no significnat discusssions I could identify. The version in the esWPis almost identical.
  12. Youtooz nominated at AfD; notified Figurinesfan2014 (talk · contribs) 01:01, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: not exactly my field, but judged merely as a company, there is no substantial independent reference from a reliable general interest publication. Even if the Daily Star is accepted as a RS, what they published is a promotional interview, where he proprietor of the firm is allowed to say whatever he likes about it -- such references are not truly independent. The others are trade publciations.
  13. EUniverCities nominated at AfD; notified Wandea (talk · contribs) 14:28, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: litle evidence for notability
  14. Super Pollo nominated at AfD; notified AntonioMartin (talk · contribs) 15:32, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: non notable -- very minor political role covered by NOT NEWS
  15. Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce nominated at AfD; notified TarHippo (talk · contribs) 04:34, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: promotional article for promotional organization-- almost all sources are its own website
  16. Blackball Museum of Working Class History nominated at AfD; notified MurielMary (talk · contribs) 05:46, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: The references consist only of two travel guides and two press releases. The coverage in each of the guides is only a single paragraph. It's already included in the article on the town.
  17. History House Museum nominated at AfD; notified MurielMary (talk · contribs) 08:52, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: References consist only of one paragraph in a local newspaper, plus 3 from its own web site or organization
  18. David John Henry Ingham Roper-Curzon nominated at AfD; notified Mineraltimer (talk · contribs) 09:19, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Somewhat over extensive genealogy, for an individual who had done nothing notable. This is not a proper use of WP.
  19. Chad Horstman nominated at AfD; notified Jcs2181 (talk · contribs) 09:58, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: n independent notability -- covered adequately in the article on his company.
  20. Faisal Farooqui nominated at AfD; notified Randomsmile (talk · contribs) 05:35, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: I closed AfD1 as delete on 5 Feb 2017. Normally I wou,d just list it for speedy as a recreation, except that it seems to have a complicated edit history past that date. I think as the consensus thought then, that the references are at best promotional interviews, and the attempts to defend the article by accusing us of prejudice against Indian source irrelevant-- newspapers in all countries, even ordinarily reliable ones, publish promotional interviews--the party notable in such cases is the press agent. There does not seem to be any actual accomplishments.
  21. Shiboleth LLP nominated at AfD; notified Ayainbar (talk · contribs) 05:40, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Promotional article about a non-notable U.S. affiliate of a non-notable Israeli law firm, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shiboleth, Yisraeli, Roberts, Zisman and Moshe H. Ne'eman, Ben-Artzi & Co.. Insufficient coverage in reliable sources.
The contents of this article are a series of promotional bios of the partners. None of them are notable in a WP sense.
No consensus in 2015, but there was consensus to delete the article on the related firm. This articles is every bit as inappropriate.
  22. Jeffrey S. Grob nominated at AfD; notified Roberto221 (talk · contribs) 09:14, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Auxiliary bishops-are not automatically notable , because they have no responsibility for a diocese. No substantial coverage, just announcements.
  23. The Cat Who Went Bananas nominated at AfD; notified Dylancraigboyes (talk · contribs) 23:13, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: trivial reviews; a separate article is not justified
  24. Venous needle dislodgement nominated at AfD; notified Inapond (talk · contribs) 03:21, 18 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is part of an advertisement for a company making a safety device to detect a type of accident during dialysis ; this part describes the accident & its potential consequences; the company, itself Redsense Medical is described in the article at the adjacent AfD. The references and content here does not meet the standards of WP:MEDRS. I presume there is COI, for trying to get 2 articles when there is at most a very weak case for one is a standard promotional trick associated with paid coi editing .
  25. Terry Kline nominated at AfD; notified LoonaLover84 (talk · contribs) 06:28, 19 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Vice president of a non-notable hotel company? With not a single reference providing substantial coverage about him from third-party independent reliable sources, not press releases or mere announcements. Ref 1 is about the company . Ref 2 has a photo of him but seems to be mainly about hte president of the company; 3 & 4 each mention his name once. Ref 5, dealing with the company progress in the field of acquisitions in which the article claims him to be a leader, does not even mention his name . Written by a contributor who has edited nothing else--except the now deleted page on the president of the company. .
I consider this A7 territory, but another admin disagreed.

  27. Daniel Otter nominated at AfD; notified Sportscanadabox (talk · contribs) 01:15, 23 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: This isn't my usual field, but I do not think the sources show notabilityThey're sympathetic local interviews for a local promotor. I think this fails encyclopedic significance
  28. Daxbot nominated at AfD; notified Lizzythetech (talk · contribs) 00:21, 24 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Paid article, and it shows it. First warning sign is the cute professional photo. Then looking at the text, the name of the product is used too much: once in each sentence-- an almost invariable promotional device. Going on to the references, 7 out of 10 references are from local sources discussing a local company; they even say that's why they're covering it. Two are from the company itself. The remaining one is a promotional interview in a trade paper, the very sort that is not accepted as independent according to WP:NCORP, and reading it, it's typical of such: the head of the firm says whatever he pleases about the virtues of his project and the future for it.
And if we judge by common sense, rather than the GNG, this product is too minor to be worth encyclopedic coverage.
  29. Jonas Paul Eyewear nominated at AfD; notified JRSQuest (talk · contribs) 05:17, 25 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: promotional article for non-notable company. The references are almost all mere press releases or mentions (I cannot access the WSJ one) The "Inc.'s 21 coolest products of 2019" is a publicity gimmick, and isn't a reliable source for anything, let alone notability. The contents too is what would be expected of a press release, complete with cute origin story.
  30. John Friskillo nominated at AfD; notified Twixister (talk · contribs) 02:10, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: non notable victim of a routine crime. The only continuing coverage is that one of the criminals, out on parole, committed a similar crime. That does not make the original victim notable
  31. Kaspien nominated at AfD; notified Katiecapka (talk · contribs) 02:13, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: The predecessor company, Trans World Entertainment was probably notable. The new one is not. There's no substantial coverage of it that meets WP:NCORP
  32. JD Scott nominated at AfD; notified Cloudcandy (talk · contribs) 02:18, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: One of a group of articles based on this "emerging writer, who is not yet notable. Articles have been tried on a single story (now deleted), his magazine, and his book of stories. None of them are notable , singly or in combination. I thinks there's very likely to be some coi involved
  33. Rolex Stella nominated at AfD; notified Instyletech (talk · contribs) 02:20, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: Basically PR for a particular group of models of a famous brand. No evidwence its appropriate for an article of its own. WP is not an auction catalog.
  34. Salar Azimi nominated at AfD; notified SportsOlympic (talk · contribs) 02:31, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

  35. Johannes of Habsburg-Lorraine nominated at AfD; notified Yannick Pichard (talk · contribs) 02:35, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: not notable 20th-21st century aristocrat who became a priest. No notability in either role. WP is neither a `genealogical site nor a society column
  36. Moonflower, Nightshade, All the Hours of the Day nominated at AfD; notified Almascaviar (talk · contribs) 01:29, 27 September 2020 (UTC)
    • Reason: non notable book of stories by minor writer. So significant critical attention. Part of a promotional campaign

This part describes the company and its sole product; an already deleted part Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Venous needle dislodgement describes the accident & its potential consequences. The discussion in that AfD explains why the products is inherently trivial, and it is therefore quite unlikely that the company could become notable. Thus, as expected, the references and content here does not meet the standards of WP:NCORP. I presume there is COI, for trying to get 2 articles when there is at most a very weak case for one is a standard promotional trick associated with paid coi editing . As far as I can tell from the articles, the two awards listed are worded almostthe same--they're promotional awards for his business activities, not his charitable work, and thee's nothing here to show those activities are notable. The awarding body for ref 8 is not the government of India, but a institute founded or sponsored or chartered by the government. I knew the NYT did and continues to do promotional coverage in style and fashion, but those are fields where there's a rather thin line between real promotional and real journalism. This is business, where there's a sharp separation, and they are on the wrong side of it.

The statement of his actual technical role is too vague to be meaningful.
"30 under 30" is a publicity gimmick, and his role as the "Face of NASA" is equally a publicity gimmick. It is appropriate for NASA to do PR, but not on Wikipedia

(the references described as "archived copy" without a title arein fact their own publications.)

The talk page shows the previous discussion of the draft.
The NYT article just lists her in the legend to a photo of the principal performer,; The CBS articles is just a cast list, a listing in playbilll is again a cast list; the film reviewed in Variety is a very minor film, and nothing else is remotely usable for notability

Everything is either from her web site or from promotional interviews where she says what she wants to .This article was added in 2006, by an editor who has contributed nothing else. It illustrates the standards we had at the time; it shows the need for WP:AFC, for it wouldn't have gotten past AfC today.

    • Reason: This article was created by a recently banned sockpuppet a few months before he was banned. It's an advertisement for a lawn service firm, supported by "references" that are either PR, or notices of entry into a market, or about the general topic of similar actually notable firms. A respected editor Cunard has tried to rescue it by removing the worst of the advertising, but I think it is not rescuable, because there are no actually independent reliable sources.( If there were, Cunard would have added them). Thee is also the question of whether we should even try to rescue articles like this. The other articles from this editor have been deleted, and this should be also. It's the only way to stop paid editing in WP, when the paid editing is used to insert promotional articles.
I am also listing the article on the founder of the company. The same reasons apply. It's equally promotional. Some of the refs are different. They're apparent PR insertions in articles about a range of businesses, where his business is used as one of the many examples.
I congratulate the PR agent for their ability to get these mentions and articles placed. But they should have known to stay away from WP.

There is no true third party verification of any part of her adventures. A typical reference from Google is "has Mireya Mayor had her lips done? Expedition Bigfoot viewers question doctor's appearance"[4] (and as PR it's out of date--she has also written an autobiography)
She is not a faculty member of any university, and never was. She is apparently director of Exploration and Science Communications at FIU[5]
But she is a biologist, and might be notable, but the article would need to be totally rewritten, which I can do if I find an actual CV to establish the objective facts of her life. She did not discover a new lemur species--she has always worked as part of a team as a relatively junior member. - She has been one of the 14 coauthors on a major summary of lemur taxonomy, which was not a formal revision in the taxonomic sense, and she has been one of the 7 coauthors on two papers which have indeed formally revised the assignment of previously known lemurs into a different arrangement of species. This is noteworthy taxonomic work, but not necessarily for the junior members of a group, and I cannot tell from the available material that she was responsible for that work- She's also published other papers, mostly as one of a number of junior coauthors, but some perhaps as the principle author--it will take a more detailed analysis.
Thisis a suitable place by TNT if there ever was. IThe only way to revise the article would be to remove almost all the content and the duplicative PR references

Google Scholar does show citations to some of the publications, notably the report., but not enough to indicate notability. The only other references I was able to find are social media sites, bioblurbs in connection with lectures or minor appointments, and some of the articles she reported on CBS.
I am truly distressed to see that this article was the product of an excellent and responsible project that has produced much better content than this about more clearly notable women. The point of such projects is not just to add articles, but to add articles with good references about important subjects--we rely on the projects not just to get articles written, but to help the encyclopedia maintain quality.
It has proven very difficult to write a article showing the notability of a reporter, unless they have won a major award or published notable books. They're not usually a good choice for editing projects, where it's better to choose people whose notability is easier to demonstrate.

The Forbes ref is from a "former contributor", meaning it is not a RS for anything. The other references are equally useless. I have not searched Google, because what I find there will be his publicity. There's no reason anyone would ever give him significant coverage.
The article was written by a disclosed paid editor , who is naïve enough to admit "an interest in making Wikipedia articles of celebrities from all over the world who has a good following base but they don't have the visibility on search engines. I am a digital marketing expert and a new editor on Wikipedia who's willing to create articles of celebrities and give them visibility with help of Wikipedia."
He created his first articles in Draft (and they are still there); once he became autoconfirmed, he created this in mainspace, which is of course against god practice for paid editing --it's time we made that policy. I thought about moving this to draft also, but I don't think there's a chance of an acceptable article.

The accomplishments are minor: At AfD discussion in the past few years, awards for 30 under 30 and the like have been usually taken to indicate "Not Yet Notable". They're purely PR awards, they are organized so a great many people get the awards in mone or another of the very many categories, and have no other significance. Similarly the top 100 listing designed for promotion, with multiple categories. And the one possibly significant award listed he didn;t win, it's just a nomination.
He founded two non-notable companies. he invested in another. The promotional nature is even more clearly seen in the infobox's education section: "London School of Commerce (Dropped out)" which reminds me of the legendary CV that included "BA (failed)" 00 Tho it's fair to say we have thousand of bios which list "attended" not "graduated" -- some of these are typically non-degree programs, but others, we should re-examine.
The photo is an obviously profesionala portrait, licensedd here as "own work"
I assume an undeclared coi editor, for they've worked on nothing else
the references are what we'd expect: mere notices abut either him or his companies, or promotional write-ups about the minor awards, and promotional interviews where the subject (or their PR representative) is allowed to say whatever they care to. Consensus now is these are not independent.

The individual may be notable, because of the legion d'honneur , but in that case it would need re-writing from scratch, not based on the French version because that was written in violation of their rules, our rules, and the WMF terms of service. but the contents of this article resort to statements such as "in conjunction with other publishers " "took part in negotiations", "supported [someone else's] proposal", "contributed to creating" "cosigned", "participated".

  13. Ethique: nominated at AfD; notified Mazthecat (talk · contribs) 07:00, 21 July 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: Regardless of possible notability , this is hopelessly promotional; if the promotionalism were removed there would be no content besides a list of funding and a list of promotional awards. I actually made an effort at this, despite the fact that it was by a paid editor, but gave up when I realized it wasn't possible.
I recognize this is an area where it is difficult to distinguish exceptionally promotional writing, because the entire industry is based on promotionalism -- but that is no reason why we should be a contributor to it. NOT ADVERTISING supersedes all considerations of of notability, though I do mention that I doubt notability also--all the support for this is essential mere notices of funding and PR, none of which meets NCORP.
I find it difficult to see how an article with a paragraph about the founder's "passion " for riding the world of plastic was ever approved. There was presumably equal passion for making money, or at least for being in a fashionable business. The least we can expect paid editors to do is not not write such obvious advertising here, whatever they may be in the habit of doing elsewhere.

Two books only, one of which is the thesis--neither are in many libraries.
The "frequent commentary" are his own publications, which are too minor for PROF and self-published as far as GNG is concerned.do not amount to notability.

The particular term is used only by Parolek and his firm of designers. In WP, every time the term is found ,it's just a link to his work. Perhaps there's material here that could be used, but as a term used by a single design firm, I'm not sure it would otherwise be worth even a redirect. The other possibility is that he or his firm might be notable.

  26. Crowther Lab: nominated at AfD; notified Smmysrz (talk · contribs) 04:35, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
    • Reason: This is a promotional duplication of the article on Thomas Crowther, an article on a notable scientist that has some similar promotional problems that I am in the process of fixing.
All notable laboratory scientists in universities , run laboratories composed of a number of post-docs, grad students, technicians, usually undergraduates., and sometimes junior faculty. The work coming from the lab is normally funded by the research grants awarded to the faculty member as chief investigator, with often some institutional funds as well, and the faculty member is considered to have the responsibility of seeing that the work done is of high quality, and consequently competes with other faculty in the field for the best new postdocs and grad students. They may put their name on all the articles, some of the articles, or none of them--this is a matter of individual choice as well as convention in the field.
There is normally no sense in which the work of the lab is independent of the faculty sponsor; the content of any article on the lab would have extensive overlap with the article on the scientist--as an indication, the bios of many scientists contain phrases such as "she and her associates" did whatever.
If we allowed articles such as this, we would essentially have two articles on every notable scientist. Of course, there will be some few very exceptional scientists known as much for running a laboratory for others to work as for their own work, were it might be justified. and there might be justification for articles on particularly notable multi-lead investigator groups. In each of these cases, there will be extensive secondary literature about the laboratory as such. That's not the case here.

In one sense the course was successful: it taught how to write advertising copy. In another it was altogether misconceived--teaching how to write promotionalism is the worst possible assignment for WP editing. It's teaching people how to destroy WP.

    • Reason: Google Scholar does show him as one of the authors in several dozen papers with hundreds or thousands of citations each. However, he is one of the several hundred researchers part of the Global Burden of Disease study, and each of these dozens of highly cited papers lists every possibly relevant one of them and thus having several hundred authors each, or, in some specialized topics, dozens of authors each.
According to his CV, he is currently head of the University of Washington's institute for health metrics and evaluation , which runs this and similar projects and is there included on all of their papers. This does not mean he has any special academic or scientific responsibility for any or all of them, any more than the Dean of the School would have if he insisted on putting his name on everything the school produced.
In this situation the ordinary WP:PROF guidelines fail. He might have been notable as a research before being an administrator, but this is not shown; our standards for being a notable administrator discuss only being president of a n institution or head of an independent school.
I am not saying an adequate article would be impossible, but this is not. I will gladly withdraw the afd is someone wishes to clarify the role(s), and can find good 3rd party truly independent references for his importance as an administrator that are more than the usual PR.
We've had a number of similar papers in the physical sciences for people who are just one of a group --usually I would have no hesitation in rejecting them as non-notable , but he might possibly be in a more important actual position than just member

    • Reason: Essentially all of the sources are their own press releases, and the content of the article reads as if this too is a press release. The article is 5 years out of date--I made a search for additional and especially current sources and found nothing except press releases and notices of meeting--the only possibly usable one was [14] from the Toronto Sun, but it too is a collection of statements from supporters.
If there were to be an article, it would make more sense for it to be on the overall organization,, Canada Learning Code--some of the statistics here are from that, and some from this section, and some from related allied sections.
I am always conflicted when I list for deletion articles on excellent projects such as this -- they generally deserve to become notable , and I do share the feeling that perhaps an appropriate part of our role is to help them. But it isn't: we're not a directory, not even a directory of everything good that is in some way related to our own initiatives. I tend to deal with it by letting pass the ones that are written as real articles, rather than collections of buzzwords, and focussing on the ones like this where every major contributor is a single purpose account.
