"You Koreans don't know how to make a single soap, and yet you insist that you can make a independent government?" — Philip Jaisohn, July 1947.

"Expecting democracy to bloom in Korea is like expecting a rose to bloom in a trash can"
The Times, 1952.

This user is from the bright side of peninsula. It is my sincere hope that the whole peninsular becomes bright in one day.

I am deeply grateful to every man and woman in uniform who served in Korea. You saved millions people out of poverty, and have given the opportunity to fulfill their dreams. I'm just one of many whom has benefited from your selfless sacrifice. Although I could never fathom your bravery, my thought and prayers will always be with you.
