Charles has been editing Wikipedia since January 2007 and 21,000 manual edits later is still learning about policies and editing. He has written a number of new aticles and expanded others. He works mostly on settlements when not guarding against vandalism and material without reliable sources.

I'm active in many areas of Wikipedia, depending on how I feel at the time; at present I'm usually to be found pottering around dealing with admin backlogs. I patrol new and random pages. I review them and add maintenance/speedy deletion tags. I am good at explaining how to improve a specific article or explaining why a specific article has been deleted.

I understand the policies here on wikipedia. I specialise in answering questions about deletions because I spend a lot of time in the area. This is useful because many new users make pages that get deleted and don't understand why.

Most of what I do is speedy deletes, AfD's and Tagging. I thought it might be helpful to try to answer new editors questions and advise them before they create new articles, rather than speedy deleting them after they create them.

Chico Venancio has been editing Wikipedia since 2006, though he has moved to use the Portuguese Wikipedia as his home wiki. Chico started using Wikipedia as a High School student and found it to help him in the college entrance exams. He likes to understand the technical side of Wikipedia and experiment with bots and template writing, but still writes a few articles every now and then. Fighting vandalism in Wikipedia is one of his favorite pastimes.

Etienne (Ebe123) came to Wikipedia in 2010 and edits on medicine and pharmacology-related articles. He is also on other wikis, such as the Wikimedia Incubator, where people can make new language versions of Wikipedia. He likes to help all the time. He has also worked closely with some of the Wikimedia Foundation staff testing and developing new or improved features for Wikipedia, including the New Page Triage, and the Feedback Tool. I'm from Australia, and am pretty active in dispute resolution and helping new users learn the ropes. It can be tough, but persist, ask lots of questions and you will do fine. :-)

I can also provide materials for outreach so you can get your friends editing as well. If there is anything I can't help with, I probably know someone who can.
I like to welcome new editors, review new articles and add enough resources so that the new article meets acceptable guidelines, I also like to create new articles, get involved with Afd (to argue good faith or perform another action that would salvage a potentially good article. I am really good at finding references for people who get stuck and have trouble finding sources to back up the articles that they have created. I have had the experience of being 'bitten' and want to make sure that it doesn't happen to those editors that are doing their best and acting in good faith.
