Mahal Kita was a short film that was shot, directed, and edited by Rickey. He also portrays the male lead, opposite of his then girlfriend, Mabel Cabalitasan. The film was inspired by the Ernest Tubb song, "My Filipino Baby", which recounts a US Naval officer who longs for a Filipino woman he met, while on tour in the Philippines. The film tells a similar story of a US solider who falls in love with a Filipino woman, but takes a different turn.[2]

The Fresno State–Hawaii football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Fresno State Bulldogs and the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. It is the second-oldest and most fierce rivalry in the West Division of the Mountain West Conference. The two teams have met 49 times, with Fresno State currently leading 26–22–1. The rivalry was surely recognized in 2016.[1]

The Rivalry
Fresno State and Hawaii first met in 1938 on the basis of the Pineapple Bowl (then not an NCAA-sanctioned bowl) being in Honolulu that year. Fresno was invited back for the 1941 Pineapple Bowl, which the Bulldogs won, 3-0. The rivalry went mostly unnoticed as Fresno State and Hawaii alternated winning streaks. It wasn't until 1992 under coach Bob Wagner that the rivalry took center stage as Fresno joined the WAC in 1992 after the Bulldogs departed the Big West. However, much of the games went without bravado, with each team winning from anywhere from five to 20 points.
It was in 1999 when June Jones and Pat Hill first met at Aloha Stadium, and the start of the rivalry was born. That matchup featured Dan Robinson and Billy Volek, a future NFL star. Hawaii took the 13-7 halftime lead, but Fresno State tied the game at 21, sending it to overtime. Trailing 24-21, Eric Hannum, who missed a 29-yard field goal and an extra point, made a chip shot field goal to send the game to a second overtime. Robinson connected with Craig Stutzmann, giving Hawaii a 31-24 lead. The Rainbows (as UH was known back then) then used one last stand to take over first place in the WAC and secured a berth in the 1999 Oahu Bowl.
That game is usually where many fans have started about the rivalry since; Bulldog fans felt that Charles Smith was interfered with on the final play of the 1999 game.
The fans
Both teams have notoriously committed violence or close to it in recent years, especially after the 1999 game. Fresno State has a tradition called the Red Mile, in which the visiting team must walk outside the locker room to a chorus of jeers and verbal abuse. It has been noted that the NCAA has repeatedly called for Fresno State to stop this tradition due to allegations of violence and racial slurs, which the administration has continually denied. During Hawaii road games, the Red Mile is more full than usual, and many Hawaii players have claimed the fans, which are mostly students, instigated violence in the past.
Hawaii fans have also been implicated as well; Fresno State and Hawaii fan fights are also present at Aloha Stadium, especially pre-game and post-game. Fresno State fans who walk by Hawaii tailgaters often don't make it into the stadium without getting into a fight. In fact, a 2007 report by KITV said that Hawaii fans had committed acts of abuse toward Fresno State fans, which UH Athletics has continually denied to this day. Fresno fans also told Boise State fans, Hawaii's next opponent in 2007, to not attend the game. Allegations ended up being false as Honolulu Advertiser photographers caught pictures of Boise State and Hawaii fans mingling and sharing food before the game.
Former Hawaii linebacker Solomon Elimimian, following the 2008 upset of Fresno State, claimed that 12-year old Fresno State fans were shouting curse words and racial slurs at players, which was vehemently denied by Fresno media and Fresno State's athletics department.
Notable games
1992: Hawaii and Fresno State meet for the first time as members of the Western Athletic Conference following the addition of the Bulldogs for 1992. Hawaii was victorious, 47–45.
1999: In one of the more memorable chapters of the rivalry, Hawaii defeated Fresno State, 31–24, in double overtime. This game propelled Hawaii to a share of the WAC title and gave UH a berth in the 1999 Oahu Bowl. The win followed a 51–12 loss the year before in Fresno.
2001: In the first of six meetings between the two schools in which one of the teams is ranked, future NFL number one draft pick David Carr commited two costly turnovers, leading to 14 Warrior points. Fresno State blew a 27–16 fourth quarter lead, which began with Hawaii quarterback and future head coach Nick Rolovich throwing a 22-yard touchdown pass to Channon Harris with an ensuing two-point conversion by Thero Mitchell. Carr then fumbled a snap on the Hawaii 3-yard line, which led to an 8-play, 96-yard drive in which Hawaii took the lead on Ashley Lelie's second touchdown of the night. Carr then sealed the #18 Bulldogs' fate with a fumble caused by Nate Jackson, leading to the winning Lelie score with thirteen seconds left in a 38–34 upset. Fresno State went on to finish in third place, while Hawaii finished runner-up in the WAC.
2008: Hawaii opened the season 1–3 in the post-Colt Brennan era and then traveled to Fresno, ranked #22 at the time, as the clear underdog. Hawaii blew a 26–9 lead and then eventually were tied 29–29 in the fourth quarter. But the Warriors blocked a late field goal, forcing the second overtime game in the series. Fresno State kicker Kevin Goessling missed a 40-yard field goal on the opening possession, but got a second chance thanks to a running into the kicker penalty. Goessling then missed the ensuing kick and Hawaii kicker Dan Kelly made his attempt upsetting Fresno State 32–29. It was the second time Hawaii upset a ranked Fresno State, and the first ever win versus a ranked opponent on the road.

The Onyx Tavern is a web series created, written, edited, produced, and starring Louisville, Kentucky native Rickey Layman.[1] The series initially launched on YouTube on February 14, 2013, but was removed in December 2013 due to copyright violations from Toei Company. The series then returned in January 2014 under a new account. The series is told by Layman, under the name of Rick the Barkeep (previously The Barkeep), as he discusses various topics from the Power Rangers franchise and it's Japanese source material, Super Sentai. The series is co-hosted, on occasion, with Patrick Hessman (aka Raptor) and Danny Kraus (aka Tryaz, previously D-Jedi).
As of April, The Onyx Tavern series has over 1,500 subscribers and over 600,000 views.[2]
History
Series Summary
The series was launched in February 2013 by Layman, as a fifteen minute long podcast. The overall goal of the series was to provide an intellectual debate on Power Ranger and Super Sentai issues, as well to provide a counter to popular opinion. Layman was later joined by Patrick Hessman, who would go on to be his co-host of the series until his departure in mid 2014, although returning several times for guest appearances. In July 2013, Layman was approached by Herotaku.com to provide content to the entertainment website. Layman agreed and the podcasts are part of the regular webpage content.
YouTube Shutdown
In December 2013, The Onyx Tavern YouTube page was shut down due to multiple third-party content violation, particularly in reference to Super Sentai music used. YouTube did not restore the channel and content and a claim to the Better Business Bureau continues to this day. While content from early podcasts and videos were not restored, backup files to several podcasts were received and continue to be re-uploaded to the YouTube page under the Lost Tavern moniker.
Lavender Gym
In 2014, Danny Kraus joined as a rotating co-host for the series. In April 2014, Hessman and Kraus created a spin-off series called Lavender Gym that focuses on the Pokemon franchise, which only lasted four episodes.

Episodes
2013 (The Lost Tavern)
The first 16 episodes were originally uploaded on YouTube between February and December 2013. In December, YouTube removed the videos, citing copyright claims. None of the original videos are available and the original audio files and video date were compromised. Thus, these episodes are refereed to as The Lost Tavern due to their lost status.

List of Zords
In the Power Rangers franchise, a Zord is a type of mecha that is often piloted by a Power Ranger. Most Zords can combine to form a humanoid robot known as a Megazords. But there are some Zords that can form a Megazord independently. Some Zords such as the Red Battlezord are human form by default or the Tigerzord can transform independently, in those two instances the Red Battlezord and Tigerzords are not considered "Megazords" and just "Zords". The Zords used by the team at any time will have a theme, such as dinosaurs, mythical creatures, or animals associated with fighting-styles.
History
A Zord is defined as a giant fighting machine (a.k.a. colossal assault vehicle) featuring the use of humanoid combination, whether through gestalt technology featuring an aggregate humanoid robot, or the internal manning of a non-combining humanoid robot by a humanoid pilot.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
Dinozords
When Rita Repulsa invaded Earth, Zordon of Eltar recruited five teenagers to serve as Power Rangers. Upon granting them their powers, Zordon also gave them the Dinozords which are modeled after dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals.
- Tyrannosaurus Dinozord – A red Tyrannosaurus zord piloted by Jason Lee Scott, the Red Ranger.[1][2] It can shoot laser beams from both its eyes and mouth, hover for short distances, and disintegrate enemies with a ground charge attack.
- Mastodon Dinozord – A black mastodon zord piloted by Zack Taylor, the Black Ranger.[2][3] It can freeze enemies by blasting liquid nitrogen from its trunk.
- Triceratops Dinozord – A blue Triceratops zord piloted by Billy Cranston, the Blue Ranger.[2][4] It has a tail-mounted laser cannon, and can launch its two horns to capture the enemies with chains.
- Sabertooth Tiger Dinozord – A yellow sabertooth tiger zord piloted by Trini Kwan, the Yellow Ranger.[2][5] It has a tail-mounted laser cannon.
- Pterodactyl Dinozord – A pink pterodactyl zord piloted by Kimberly Hart, the Pink Ranger.[2][6] It is the only Dinozord that can fly, and has twin laser cannons.
- Dragonzord – A green dragon zord piloted by Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger.[7] It has a drill tail and fingertip missiles.
- Titanus – A Titanosaurus carrier-zord. It can shoot fireballs from its mouth.
Combinations
- Megazord - A combination of the Tyrannosaurus, Mastodon, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Pterodactyl Dinozords. [a]
- Dragonzord Battle Mode (Mega Dragonzord) - A combination of the Dragonzord, Mastodon, Triceratops and Sabertooth Tiger Dinozords.
- Mega Dragonzord (Ultra Dragonzord) - A combination of the Megazord and Dragonzord.
- Ultrazord – A combination of the Megazord, Dragonzord, and Titanus.
Thunderzords
When Lord Zedd arrived to conquer Earth, he unleashed Pirantishead to battle the Power Rangers. Pirantishead froze the Mastodon, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Pterodactyl Dinozords, while taking control of the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord and Dragonzord. After reganing control of their zords, it was decided that Zedd was too powerful a threat for the Dinozords to combat. Thus, Zordon and Alpha 5 transformed the Dinozords, with the power of thunder, into the Thunderzords. Later, Zordon and Alpha would create the Tigerzord for the newly created White Ranger. Both the Red Dragon and White Tiger both had warrior modes and were capable of independent hand to hand combat.
- Red Dragon Thunderzord – A red Chinese dragon zord piloted by the Red Ranger, Jason Lee Scott, and his replacement, Rocky DeSantos.[8] It has an alternate humanoid Warrior Mode, in which it wields a staff.
- Lion Thunderzord – A black-and-green Chinese guardian lion zord piloted by the Black Ranger, Zack Taylor, and his replacement, Adam Park.[9]
- Unicorn Thunderzord – A blue unicorn zord piloted by the Blue Ranger, Billy Cranston.[10] It can propel giant boulders at its target.
- Griffin Thunderzord – A yellow griffin zord piloted by the Yellow Ranger, Trini Kwan, and her replacement, Aisha Campbell.[11] It can shoot fireballs from its mouth.
- Firebird Thunderzord – A pink Fenghuang zord piloted by the Pink Ranger, Kimberly Hart. It can surround its enemies with a tornado.[12]
- Tigerzord – A white tiger zord piloted by the White Ranger, Tommy Oliver.[13] It has an alternate humanoid Warrior Mode.
- Tor – A tortoise carrier-zord. Tor is a sentient zord and can be summoned by Zordon or the Power Rangers.
Combinations
- Thunderzord Assault Team – A combination of the Lion, Unicorn, Griffin, and Firebird Thunderzords into a chariot platform. The Red Dragon, in Warrior Mode, can ride inside of it.
- Thunder Megazord – A combination of the Red Dragon, Lion, Unicorn, Griffin, and Firebird Thunderzords. [b]
- Mega Tigerzord – A combination of the Lion, Unicorn, Griffin, and Firebird Thunderzords with the Tigerzord.
- Thunder Ultrazord – A combination of all Thunderzords.
Ninja Zords
Following the destruction of the Thunder Megazord and Tigerzord, by the hands of Rito Revolto, Fighting Flea, Lizzinator, Octophantom, and Stag Beetle, the Rangers sought Ninjor and the Temple of Power. The original Power Coins were created by Ninjor and it was believed that if the Rangers could find him, Ninjor could supply them with new powers and zords. Ninjor bestowed upon them six new Ninja Zords. Later, they were soon lost again when time on Earth was reversed and the Ranger powers were lost.
- Falconzord – A white falcon zord piloted by Tommy Oliver, the White Ranger. It can shoot missiles from its wings. After nearly twenty years of inactivity Tommy summons the Falconzord during the events of Dimensions in Danger, where it redirects the last of Drayvon's mega arrows, dealing the final blow to the enemy. The Falconzord is the first Zord of the Mighty Morphin Era to not have a place to be stored. When Tommy summoned the Zord to battle Lord Drayvon, it appeared to exit from an unknown dimension. Possibly existing in the Morphing Grid itself.[14]
- Ape Ninja Zord – A red ape-like samurai zord piloted by Rocky DeSantos, the Red Ranger.[15] It wields twin ninja blades.
- Bear Ninja Zord – A yellow bear zord piloted by Aisha Campbell, the Yellow Ranger.[16] It can shoot laser beams out of its eyes and cause seismic tremors.
- Frog Ninja Zord – A black frog zord piloted by Adam Park, the Black Ranger.[17] It has the ability to jump great distances, shoot fire, and create miniature frog zords that can attach to an enemy and electrocute it.[18]
- Wolf Ninja Zord – A blue wolf zord piloted by Billy Cranston, the Blue Ranger.[19]
- Crane Ninja Zord – A supposedly pink crane zord piloted by Kimberly Hart and her replacement Katherine, the Pink Ranger.[20]

Shogunzords
Seeking to destroy the Power Rangers, Lord Zedd sends Finster, Squatt, and Baboo to the planet Zordina to search for the Lost Zords. Once found, Zedd captured Ninjor and the Falconzord. Using Ninjor's power and the technology from the Falconzord, Zedd unleashed the Shogunzords. During his parley with the Rangers at the Command Center, Zedd attempted to blackmail the Rangers into piloting them after capturing a weakened Kimberly. The Rangers double-crossed him upon Kimberly's rescue and stole the zords for themselves. Later, the Shogunzords were used by the Alien Rangers when time was reversed. They were later lost when time was reverted to normal.
- Red Shogunzord – A red humanoid zord with ape-like features piloted by Rocky DeSantos, the Red Ranger, and later by Aurico, the Red Alien Ranger.[21]

- Shogun MegaFalconzord – A combination of the Shogun Megazord and the Falconzord.
- Shogun Ultrazord – A combination of the Shogun MegaFlaconzord and Titanus.
Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers
Battle Borgs
