A further 150 were delivered by the end of 1991, and the last units were received by the end of 1994.[66] In 2002 Turkey reached an agreement with ASELSAN Corporation to upgrade the Leopard 1 tanks, prolonging their service life by another 20 years.[67] This modernization ended suddenly in 2009 as a result of the Financial crisis of 2008 and only 170 out of the 397 units were modernized.[64]

  • M48A5T1: Turkish M48 variant upgraded along similar lines to the M60A1, with an M68 105 mm main gun, passive night vision, M60A1 fire control system and an AVDS-1790 diesel engine. Used mainly for supporting ground forces. 400 in storage.[79]

A modernization agreement was signed for the ACV-15s, which were developed in the late 1980s in line of needs of the Turkish Armed Forces. With the agreement signed on 31 December 2019, FNSS will also take part in the project as the subcontractor of ASELSAN.[82]

T-155 Fırtına  Turkey 155mm SPG 300[7] The T-155 Fırtına has a maximum firing range of 40 km depending on the type of ammunition and can fire up to 8 rounds for per minute. An upgraded version dubbed "Firtina 2" was to begin production in 2023, featuring improvement to range and rate of fire. The new vehicles were to be fitted with remote weapons stations capable of carrying 12.7mm, 7.62mm machine guns and 40 mm grenade launchers.[114] They will eventually replace all M44T, M107, M108, M109.

MKEK Boran  Turkey 105mm field gun 7+ MKE launched the 105 mm Air Transportable Light Towed Howitzer (BORAN) project to fulfill the operational requests of the Commando and Infantry units for Airborne Operations. The system can calculate its own position and identify targets without usual deployment procedures thanks to its modern command and fire control systems. It has a minimum range of 17 kilometers and 6400 NATO mils (360°) firing capability. The howitzer weights around 1800kg and can be airlifted with a medium-lift utility helicopter and deployed in a short time for fire missions. Based on L118.[118][119][120]

POYRAZ Ammunition Resupply Vehicle has the necessary mobility and survivability capabilities for operation within the tactical operational environment of FIRTINA SpH. Therefore Ammunition Resupply Vehicles enhances the FIRTINA SpH’s mobility and provides capability for rapid deployment without being exposed to enemy counter-firing thus enables higher firing rate and shoot and scoot tactical requirements.

Ammunition Transfer System which has been indigenously developed by ASELSAN performs loading and unloading of ammunition automatically by means of a four stage mechanism. Control of the mechanism is performed via servo control system.[141]

The vehicle can both pump the fuel in its tank into the recipient air platform, and can also pump fuel out of a tank on another vehicle and pump it to a different point. The vehicle is capable of refuelling up to four aircraft, either simultaneously or separately.

The tank has been designed on an incline to fully transfer the fuel when necessary, and contains baffles to prevent sloshing while on the move. The tank body is made of aluminium alloy and is coated with a ballistic sealing material and fire-retardant paint. Designed in compliance with the railway loading gauge, the size of the vehicle permits its transportation aboard an A400M cargo aircraft. [154]
