Elambalur is a nearest village to Perambalur (3.6 kms) and to NH45 road (2 km). It is a special village in Perambalur district, Tamilnadu, India. It has vast area geographically. It includes, Perambalur-Ariyalur 4 road to Valikandapuram, on NH45 road. Hamlet villages of Elambalur are 'Indira Nagar, MGR nagar, MahathmaGandhi Nagar, Samathuvapuram & Nethaji Nagar'. All these new Hamlet villages were formed and developed by Mr.M.RAJARAM , who served twice as President Of Elambalur Panchayat from 1986-2001. He was also served as Chairman of Perambalur Panchayat union (2001-2006).This village is getting fast devolopements in all aspects especially in basic Infrastructure.The Tamil Nadu government provides drinking water for Elambalur and all its hamlet villages from [cauvery] river.The final works are under progress. Spiritual

The Holy Bramma Rishi hill is situated in Elambalur. Three famous Three saints (sidhas) samathi are in the area: Sri Valaiguru Swamikal, Sri Ganapathy Swamikal, Sri Mahalinga Swamikal. In 1995, another Sidhar called Thalayaadi Sidhar samathi was also established near Brammarishi hills at Elambalur. The famous Temple Called Sri Thirumangali Amman Kovil is situated here. The ancient Temple named Sri Thirumangali Amman kovil recently renovated. It is believed that this temple was constructed by Traditional Tamil Kings 500 years ago. Sri Ayyanar, Sri PeriyaSwami. Sri Muthu Swami, Sri Pandur MuthuSwami Sri Selli Amman Temples are also at Elambalur. Karthikai Deepam is a very famous celebration held every year In Bramarishi Hill.

Economy

Stone quarries, mining, and stone crushing are major industries in Elambalur; however, a majority of the people work in agriculture.[[7]] SIDCO will soon be setting up an Industrial Estate at the Elambalur Village.
