Arekere MICO Layout is a residential area located in South Bangalore, off Bannerghatta Road. It is a BDA layout and was developed in the late 1970s. It is 16 km from Kempegowda Bus Station and Bangalore City Railway Station and 42 km from Bangalore International Airport.

The layout has developed rapidly. The area is the main connecting hub for Kothanur Dinne, Konanakunte and Puttenahalli with Bannerghatta Road.

Management

The area is managed by the Arekere Mico Layout Residents Welfare Association. The layout was divided into two stages. They are-

  • Arekere Mico Layout 1st stage
  • Arekere Mico Layout 2nd stage

The layout also subsumes neighbouring areas such as Brindavan Extension and Lakshmi Layout.

Location

The area is off Bannerghatta Road, on the interior of the Arekere Gate Signal.[2][3]

Transport

The area is well connected by BMTC buses from the major bus stations of Bangalore i.e. Kempegowda Bus Station, Shivajinagar and K R Market.
