Miss International 2016, the 56th Miss International pageant, held on October 27, 2016 at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan.[2] Edymar Martínez from Venezuela crowned her successor Kylie Verzosa from the Philippines at the end of the event. This is the first time in Miss International history the crowning of the runners-up was to see last year’s Top 5 winners.[3]
Background
In February 9, 2016, it was announced during a missosology conferenced by Akemi Shimomura, the president of the International Cultural Association, that the 2016 pageant will be held in Tokyo Dome City Hall, Tokyo, Japan for first consecutive year on Thursday the October 27, 2016.[4]
