MacBook Air is a lightweight notebook computer introduced by Apple Inc. at the Macworld Conference & Expo on January 15 2008. Apple touts it as the world's thinnest notebook, at 0.76 inches (1.93 cm) thick at its widest part. It weighs 3.0 pounds (1.36 kg).

Eco-friendliness

According to Apple, MacBook Air is the most environmentally friendly laptop it has released, having an all-aluminum case and a mercury- and arsenic-free glass display. The circuit boards are free of BFR and PVC. In addition, the packaging has 56% less volume than the regular MacBook. The MacBook Air is also the first Apple laptop to be fully recyclable.
