Revision as of 17:55, 25 September 2020

This page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here).

This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

    Do not request that pages deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

    Instructions for special cases:

I want to take the contents of the page and make it into a draft —HeinzMaster (talk) 05:48, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Graeme Bartlett Most of these pages will reach notability in the next months (You need to reach some criteria to become MMA notable) so I can't post them now but it's good to have a template to work off when the time comes so I am not working from square one. Sorry I flooded yall with the requests at the same timeHeinzMaster (talk) 05:25, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

    Roe Green (disambiguation)

There are 4 uses of this term including 2 settlements linked at List of United Kingdom locations: Ri-Ror#Roa-Ror[1]. Also Sandon, Hertfordshire which was a red link then is now a blue link and mentions Roe Green. The 2 places in Hertfordshire were removed without explanation shortly before deletion without explanation presumably because the links were red but DAB pages can have red links as long as there is a blue link. —Crouch, Swale (talk) 16:48, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Graeme Bartlett: thankyou I have added blue links for both of the red links, could you also restore the talk page please. Crouch, Swale (talk) 09:29, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect use of CSD. If deletion is wanted, the page should have been sent to RfD. See also User_talk:Drmies#Um_.... —–LaundryPizza03 (d) 05:42, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This page is designed for uncontroversial process; this page is not the proper forum for disputed speedy deletions, especially not ones for which many (most) administrators would object to undeletion and especially not ones which have an arguable basis for G10. See WP:DRVPURPOSE. Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 07:06, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Should have been done per WP:G10 This is hideous. See you at WP:DRV. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 07:28, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    What User:John from Idegon said. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 07:30, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@ReaderofthePack, L235, Deepfriedokra, and Graeme Bartlett:, ignoring why it was recreated in the first place, is there a way to prevent its use? Red link or not, it is still possible to use it in article space, no?--- C&C (Coffeeandcrumbs) 14:07, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Coffeeandcrumbs, you can watchlist the category and it will generate a watchlist entry whenever the category is added to any page. That's how I keep watch of these kind of things and I've already watchlisted this cat too. With a couple more regulars doing the same, it will be caught almost immediately. Regards! Usedtobecool ☎️ 14:20, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I only asked because I have seen it used for attack before and deleted it. I never brought up this idea of preventing its use because of WP:BEANS. --- C&C (Coffeeandcrumbs) 14:34, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The latest iteration was stopped by the edit filter. The edit filter was overridden at WP:AfC. Apparently, the edit filter allows the addition of the cat. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 14:47, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Technically, it was stopped by the title blacklist, not the edit filter, which only works on page/account creations. Hence why it wouldn't stop anyone from adding a cat to an existing page. Writ Keeper  16:51, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Done – as an Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored upon request. Please edit the page to address any issues raised, and re-submit it; "Articles for creation" is not for the indefinite hosting of material found to be unsuitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:01, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

    • @Harveyturney: Done – as a draft that was deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored upon request. However, the draft namespace, though it is intended to provide some breathing room to create and develop a page without the time pressure of immediate review, is not for the indefinite hosting of material that is unsuitable for inclusion in the article mainspace. Please continue to work on the draft so that it meets Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for inclusion and then submit it for review—at the least, prior to another six months elapsing. When you are ready, a review can be requested by placing this code at the top of the page and then saving: {{subst:submit}}. Mz7 (talk) 19:26, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

    Jadgali language (disambiguation)

Jadgali language (disambiguation) was deleted per WP:G14 as a redirect that doesn't target a dab page. The trouble is that G14 does not apply if the target is a non-dab page that serves a disambiguation purpose. See also discussion on my talk page. I've contacted the deleting admin but they have not responded. – Uanfala (talk) 21:13, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

    • I've recreated a redirect at this title – it's got incoming links that I don't want to continue seeing broken, but the request still stands, as I would still like to see its history restored. No big deal if it doesn't get restored. – Uanfala (talk) 10:08, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Elovay, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion. After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. — JJMC89(T·C) 01:46, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done – this page was deleted as a blatant advertisement under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion and Wikipedia is not to be used as a vehicle for promotion. This does not necessarily mean a suitable article on this topic cannot be created. If it is a notable topic, e.g., multiple reliable, secondary, published sources that are entirely independent of the subject have written about it in substantive detail (not just mere mentions), then a neutrally written article may be possible. This one was written like a commercial. – Muboshgu (talk) 15:40, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

    • Done – as a draft that was deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored upon request. Ad Orientem (talk) 18:38, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Line of succession to the former Austro-Hungarian throne

What the hell do you think you are to get rid of those articles about the disappeared monarchies worldwide? What does it matter if those monarchies were for X reason overthrown and can or cannot regain the throne of their respective countries? I respectfully ask you to have these items restored, at least for me they are important. And please do not get that argument out of the Wikipedia discussion and policies because that is only proving me right. —FocoCasti (talk) 22:09, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Line of succession to the former Austro-Hungarian throne, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, Sandstein (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. – Muboshgu (talk) 22:24, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

    • @FocoCasti: Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Line of succession to the former throne of Hyderabad, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, Malcolmxl5 (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review.
    • This is the wrong place for this, as has been stated earlier. REFUND is only for articles that have been deleted through avenues such as a proposed deletion. Articles like this, where they were deleted through deletion discussions where multiple people participated will never be restored through REFUND. To be very blunt, requesting restoration through this page is a waste of time because if an admin restored these articles via a REFUND request the articles would be quickly re-deleted and the restoring admin reprimanded. This is the wrong area. I will also be blunt in that if you are requesting restoration at deletion review (which is the right area) or via the deleting admin's page, it is better to ask politely. Being hostile will only greatly decrease the chances of the pages getting restored. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 04:20, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

    Slowdog

Page was deleted without the creators defence. Subject is notable with credible references provided. Nominator may have done so for personal reasons. —DoctorNigeria (talk) 10:05, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

    • @DoctorNigeria: Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Slowdog, it cannot be undeleted through this process. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 10:21, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • I also want to note that when requesting undeletion, it is not really a good idea to claim that the nominator was doing so in WP:BADFAITH. Always assume good faith, at least at first, when it comes to other editors. In this situation what happened is that the article was nominated and ran for two weeks (typically it's one week), during which time no one came forward to provide an argument as to why the article was deleted. You were notified on your talk page of the deletion - it is up to you to keep on top of these notices. Pinging Sandstein in case they want to restore this to AfC. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 10:24, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • It looks like the nominator was blocked for sockpuppetry so that does argue against good faith, but it's typically better to focus on notability when contesting deletion as that's going to be the crux of the matter: whether or not the article topic has received enough coverage in reliable sources to pass notability guidelines. If you can prove that, then most other arguments becomes somewhat of a moot point. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 10:27, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, my article was recently deleted due to "Unambiguous article". A moderator, or article reviewer, then proceeded to write a recommendation message of what to do. The article was not written by a person with a conflict of interest. The article was written by me. A citizen of the same city, with knowledge of the school. I request the undeletion or copying and paste the whole article into my Talk Page so I re-submit the article. I am a student at another school, in the same city. The last time I ever visited the school was in 2016, and I did it once. You can ask me for evidence that I do not go to school. In addition, you can definitely look me up anywhere. Reminder: It is not disallowed to write an article about an organization in the same city as you, as long as you are not biased or affiliated, and I am not.

I am not the school; This is obvious, I am not the school, I am a person. I do not work for the school; I have never worked for this school, or for anyone for the matter. I have never had any projects with the school, paid or unpaid. I do not represent the school; I am 16 years old. I do not represent the school, have never represented the school and I have never represented anyone. I am not related or directly or indirectly affiliated to any faculty or school representative; I am not related as a friend or a family member of any faculty of the school. If I was, I would be a student at that school by now, but I never attended that school. In addition, my username does not imply that I am from that school. In fact, when I created this Wikipedia account in 2014 I did not know that the school existed. My name is my real-life name.

It was deleted under G11 and G12. The G12 reasoning is incorrect because the "copyright infringement" was related to the article having the sections Mission, Vision Statement and Core Values. The sections were deleted, therefore there was no copyright infringement at the time of deletion

The article was not biased. I added sections such as Mission, Vision, Core Values, but then I deleted it and added "Activities". All information I added received its corresponding reference/source. All added information sections were inspired by existing articles such as The American School of London, Graded School/Associação Graduada (São Paulo), Pan American School of Porto Alegre and Pan American Christian Academy. All schools located in this country, with exception of The American School of London

I request you to un-do the page deletion or copy and paste the article so I can re-submit it.

    Best Regards, —ThiagoWinters (talk) 16:46, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done – this page was deleted as a blatant advertisement under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion and Wikipedia is not to be used as a vehicle for promotion. This does not necessarily mean a suitable article on this topic cannot be created. If it is a notable topic, e.g., multiple reliable, secondary, published sources that are entirely independent of the subject have written about it in substantive detail (not just mere mentions), then a neutrally written article may be possible. This one was written like a commercial. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:29, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

List of civilisations in the Culture series

I believe that this article functions within a less-academic subset of Wikipedia. There are many good articles on Wikipedia that compile fiction, such as this one, in a way to promote greater interest in said concepts. This is not an academic article, and it should be made known as such, but that does not remove the need for a general re-cap of the Culture novels for those interested in them. —Naboo64 (talk) 03:28, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

    • Done – as a draft that was deleted under CSD G13, the page has been restored upon request. @Chri3633: you can take out the promotional core values section!
