Dey Chopan, also spelled as Daichopan (Persian: دای چوپان ), is the northernmost district in Zabul Province of Afghanistan. Historically this district belong to Hazaras which was occupied by Abdur Rahman Khan in 19th century. It has a population of about 38,300 as of 2013.[1]

The district main ethnic groups are the Dai Chopan tribe of Hazaras and the Tokhi tribe of Ghilji Pashtuns.[2] Its economy is completely dependent on almonds raised as a cash crop.[citation needed]
