History
Boomerang EMEA was launched in December 2005. On 12 October 2011, it was split into two different feeds: one focused on Europe and another one centred on the Middle East and Africa. The European feed at the time consisted on four audio tracks, which were in English, Romanian, Hungarian and Polish. On 12 June 2012, it began being distributed in Russia after adding a Russian audio track to the channel's stream.
On 30 September 2015, Boomerang was launched on Skylink in Czech Republic. On 4 April 2018, Boomerang (Central and Eastern Europe) switched to the 16:9 aspect ratio.
Programming
All Boomerang programming is available in English with soundtracks in Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, Dutch and Russian.
Cartoonito
Cartoonito was a programming block targeting preschoolers. It aired weekday mornings and early afternoons before the Cartoonito branding was phased out entirely in 2014, when Cartoonito merged with Boomerang's schedule.
