History
[edit]VRS College of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 1994 under the aegis of SPS Educational Trust. The College is functioning with the approval of Government of Tamil Nadu and All India Council for Technical Education and affliated to Anna University, Chennai.
The College is situated 15 km from Villupuram on the Villupuram Thiruchirappalli National Highway at 170 km South of Chennai.

V R S College of Engineering and Technology – Central Library has been established in the year of 1994, It is housed in a double storied building located along with the main campus. The total volume of collection is around 25000 and it is well stacked in a separate floor.[clarification needed]
Sports
The Department of Physical Education is equipped with both indoor and outdoor facilities for the students both men and women, All the activities of the Department of Physical Education is well planned ,scheduled and maintained by the physical director.[3]
