Page Deletion

[edit]

Hi Deb, I'm extremely new to wikipedia and I'm not even sure if I'm contacting you correctly so I beg for your patients. I created a wiki page for a client of mine: Kenneth Wiess. He's a rising musician from our town Lake Geneva Wisconsin and we'd like to create a page to recognize him and have it tied to the towns notable piece. Here is link to his facebook/proof of existence. https://www.facebook.com/wiess.k. With a following like that and plenty of references (provided) we're confused why it was deleted. So if you can inform us of what we're missing it would be appreciated! Thanks. Wiess002 (talk)

Project talk page

[edit]

Hi, Deb. On some of the day-of-year pages I've noticed that you've removed some items with the note "improve distribution. See Project Talk page." Could you please tell me how to get to this page? I just want to see a guideline on what should and shouldn't be included.Bjones (talk) 17:39, 15 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, thank you. These pages certainly do run long, so I can see why some control on entries might be desirable. Not sure what that would entail, but I'll follow the discussion with interest.Bjones (talk) 03:26, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of the Eduardo Kohn article

[edit]

Hi Deb, you just deleted the article I created on increasingly prominent anthropologist Eduardo Kohn on the basis that there is 'No indication of importance'. Eduardo Kohn is making very important contributions to anthropology and other disciplines at the moment as evidenced by his recent work 'How Forests Think' and so is entierly worthy of an entry on Wikipedia. As someone who is very involved with the anthropological world I am well placed to comment on his work and I was hoping that creating the article would provide an opportunity for others to do so. I can also provide a significant series of other references, beyond those to his 2013 book, which show the wide dissemination of his work and his growing importance in the anthropological community. To be honest, I do not understand why you deleted this page at all? If you could shed some light on this it would be great as Eduardo Kohn is certainly a highly important figure in anthropology, and beyond, at the moment.

Maybe I just need to recreate it with more information, more references and a greater indication as to the importance of his work?

Deletion of the L'Eree Bay Hotel article

[edit]

Fine, it looks like you're going to be stubborn. Could you please give me or point me to a copy of the old article before it was deleted so I can at least keep the work I did on it and edit it to remove what might look like advertising? Thanks.

Deletion of the L'Eree Bay Hotel article

[edit]

Hi Deb, I've wanted to get started on Wikipedia for quite a while, and thought it would be apt to start by documenting a hotel that is on my island, so I started with the one that first came to my head. I'm absolutely unsure as to how it sounded anything like advertising, as it spoke very matter-of-factly and I used no superlatives in inappropriate adjectives. Wikipedia relies on its users, and if the very first article they decide to create and spend time on is removed, then it's hardly very welcoming.

Thanks,

Deletion of Jean Yip Group page

[edit]

Hi Deb,

Thanks for your note, and your flag on the article Pet Lover’s Centre. I’ll get on improving it when I can. I also created a new page on the Jean Yip Group, a prominent styling and beauty company in Southeast and East Asia, but it was deleted soon after its creation. I also can’t find the deleted text in my log, or indeed, any of my edits. Could I get the text back for further editing, and also some feedback on why it was flagged as G11? I noted that on your talkpage that articles with 10 references or less were okay-ed (I had 16), and if it’s a matter of “promotional language”, I’d be happy to fix that to your specifications. Thanks!

Deletion of Greenhill & Co. page

[edit]

Hello Deb!

Pages of basically all direct competitors of the same size do exist (see Moelis & Co., Evercore Partners, Centerview Partners, and many more). Greenhill & Co. is a NYSE listed company with revenues similar to the above mentioned. I therefore do not understand why this page should be treated any differently.

Many thanks for your help!

Nobles law firm page

[edit]

Hello Deb!

If you will look at page accurately you will see no difference from other law firm pages. The main goal was to inform (and there was reliable sources like The Lawyer and Global Legal Post did you see it?)! in 2013 there was a spin off of Noerr Kyiv office, the main message is - re-branding. Check by yourself Noerr or other pages. Could you tell me which part you consider as advertising/promotion before just deleting it. By deleting unreasonably article of Wikipedia first-timer you do not do a good job. I would appreciate if you show me evidence or restore my article! There are dozens of similar pages and i use links to Noerr page and to The Lawyer publication about re-branding. Plus where i can find original article?

TimeCamp Page

[edit]

Hi, Deb!

I've made some changes according to Wikipedia guidelines. Could you have a look and tell me if it's okay? Draft of TimeCamp article is on my user's site. I would be very grateful if you helped me with this. Thank you! Jan Goldewski (talk) 12:31, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Deb!

Could you tell me which parts of my TimeCamp article was against G.11 ( Unambiguous advertising or promotion )? I saw couple of articles that was completely similar, but they are not deleted. Your opinion will be very helpful for me to write this article again, but this time correctly. Thank you very much! Best regards. Jan Goldewski (talk) 19:17, 16 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Con Moriarty

[edit]

Why did you delete the article I was constructing for my father Con Moriarty, who was a well-known rugby player and local politician? I really cannot see any reason why my entry should have been deleted in such a rude way, and frankly find it very offensive that you did so. Please re-instate it.

It's back. Up to you if you want to delete it again. I proposed it for deletion. I believe this might be related to Caroline Jane Williams and the associated AfD. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 19:28, 11 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Alison Booth - Belmond La Samanna

[edit]

I've read through the guidelines again and see why you removed the Belmond La Samanna page. Could I have another go at it please? If so, perhaps you could let me know what the best procedure would be. Many thanks, Alison — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alison.booth (talkcontribs) 14:41, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

==Thank you - do I just upload another new Belmond La Samanna page, or do I put the new content on the page where it says the page has been deleted? I see you have also tagged another page for deletion - could I have another go at it now, before you take it down pse? I am going through other articles right now that you have commented on, and addressing the comments in turn.

Sahana Software Foundation

[edit]

Hi Deb - I noticed yesterday that you corrected the speedy deletion action on the basis of being overly promotional for the Sahana Software Foundation article, since it wasn't promotional. You instead added the notability and needs sources templates. I just added additional sources, and also added awards and recognition to demonstrate sufficient notability. If you are not watching the page, please review when you get a chance, and if the article now meets your threshold, please remove the tags. Otherwise advise and I'll add even more sources, including references to the company's participation in Google Camp, its role with the City of Los Angeles earthquake preparedness efforts, and the fact that the Foundation was the genesis for the Free and Open Source Software - Humanitarian (FOSS) group.Timtempleton (talk) 02:40, 16 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You need to stop vandalizing and deleting people's articles. Someone stop this person! She should be banned from wikipedia! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.202.1.48 (talk) 05:21, 16 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Someone please stop this person from vandalizing other people's webpages! How do you report her to wikipedia? She is deleting so much LEGITIMATE content on other people's web pages. I read the link she posted and none of what she deleted fit the criteria for deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.202.1.48 (talk) 05:41, 16 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

(stalking) I had a quick look, and it appears that Deb reverted a pending change that might not have been the best option, which was subsequently re-reverted. It's probably a simple mistake. It happens, we're human. Now, IP, please could you learn how to sign your posts and then drop the stick and back slowly away from the horse carcass because frankly it looks like you are harassing Deb for a pound of flesh, and that's never a good idea. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:36, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Per Ritchie333 and the ANI thread, it's best to not revert a pending change just because of a missing edit summary. It's better to accept the edit and leave the person a talk message asking them to use edit summaries in the future. 71.202.1.48 is of course being unnecessarily rude, but that's being discussed separately at ANI. 50.0.205.237 (talk) 14:41, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I do not believe I am being unnecessarily rude or harassing for a "pound of flesh" or stalking her. If you take a look at the history for the page in question, and if you actually look at the posted diffs on the ANI forum, you will see that she has made several deletions, not just once, but THREE TIMES. Frankly, it seems to me that Ritchie333 is being rude to me by implying a pejorative stereotype against me.71.202.1.48 (talk) 18:45, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well, Mr. or Ms. unregistered editor, whether you are being rude in the usual sense, you are being stubborn and arrogant in refusing to listen to the advice of multiple other editors, who have told you to use edit summaries, sign your posts, stop the personal attacks, and stop being so confrontational. Regardless of the extent of errors by Deb, you are disrupting the encyclopedia, and I request that an uninvolved administrator give you a one-week block. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:05, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Deb: Please consider whether, in spite of being wrong about his or her whole approach to Wikipedia, the unregistered editor may have made valid edits to May 22 that should be accepted. A stopped clock is right twice a day. The unregistered editor is wrong about everything else, but may be right about the edits. Robert McClenon (talk) 21:05, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think I'm being stubborn and arrogant or unnecessarily confrontational at all! I am just trying to prevent her from disruptive editing. And please tell me, how am I making any personal attacks? And I am signing my comments. I do not feel a block would solve anything. 71.202.1.48 (talk) 22:56, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Getting back on a clean page

[edit]

Hi I got my page deleted because of a too promotional content. - Fair enough, I tried to recreate it (with a new content) but I still have the spam tag. How can I make it clean with the dsame page name? Jayham1971 (talk) 10:44, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I see that you've twice speedy-deleted Sumant sinha as G11 (and that Alexf deleted it as G12). It's back among us, as Sumant Sinha this time, complete with promotional tone and copyvios from http://renewpower.in/about-renew/board-of-directors and http://www.sumantsinha.com/biography.html. Can you do the honours again, or should I list it at WP:CP? Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:44, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Deb, I was wondering if you still think this person is notable, and if you can help verify it? It's been tagged for notability since May 2008 (apologies if I've contacted you about this one before). There's currently a big drive to try to get the backlog at CAT:NN to less than six years (it's a six and a half year backlog at the moment). Thanks in advance for any help you can offer, Boleyn (talk) 19:32, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Deb, You had no business whatsoever deleting the page I created for the Greater Hartford Church of Christ. I posted the history as it was written by an elder of the church, Jim Fuda. I will be remaking it with the SAME EXACT content and would appreciate you people leaving it alone. If there is an "advertisements" in the page it is simply trying to bring more souls to Christ. The history is a straight forward history of the church and is in no way. shape, or form, an advertisement. Furthermore, any business or company that creates a page on here is advertising their business. Again, I would appreciate you people leaving my page alone.

Mike Settle song

[edit]

Hi, thanks for volunteering to fill in the references for Sing Hallelujah (Mike Settle song). I was going to do it myself but you beat me to it. Good luck. I'll go to the gym for an hour and pick up when I get back. Thanks again. Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 12:34, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Frightfully amusing (not). Deb (talk) 14:22, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You can communicate then. In ictu oculi (talk) 16:51, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
What's the issue exactly? You created an article without references - you know as well as I do that's not how it works. I can't be here 24 hours a day to answer your comments. I am not sure what I've done to give offence. Deb (talk) 17:18, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Might as well keep talk in one place. I think the issue is the 7 minute jump in, lack of courtesy and communication and the rather unhelpful edit summary. You're presumably able to distinguish a stub likely to pass WP:GNG, and there's no burning urgency to work under the 10 minute line is there, so why do it? In ictu oculi (talk) 17:23, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You know better than to try to start an argument like this. There is no reason to create a stub without references. That's what your sandbox is for.Deb (talk) 17:48, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Instead of telling editors what they know and what they know better, let's look at what you can do for editors. For example you could link to guidelines. So for example your next comment here could be a helpful link to a guideline which clearly says that a stub being created should be blanked/redirected if there is not yet a footnote. In ictu oculi (talk) 17:55, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There could - if I didn't know that you are not a newbie and you already know that. Deb (talk) 17:57, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Do you realize that you just did exactly the same thing again, you told an editor what they know. Well here's the thing, where then is the guideline that says that? Where also is the guideline that says a separate sentence is needed for stating a place of birth? In ictu oculi (talk) 18:04, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The Manual of Style for Biographies says that the place of birth should not go between the brackets. There is no guideline that says what an administrator should do when an article is created without the requisite references; there is one that says "The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and is satisfied by providing a citation to a reliable source that directly supports the contribution." You chose not to do this. I took an appropriate course of action which caused both of us minimal inconvenience. Deb (talk) 19:01, 28 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No, sorry, but MOS:BIO doesn't say that. Yes someone tried to add it, but there was lengthy discussion about the merits of such a rule and the sentence was reverted. If someone is an admin and intends to defend edits by saying "an administrator" I believe they should declare this on User page. And yes you did cause me inconvenience, due to your 7 minute blank I lost the sources as I was adding them the first time. In ictu oculi (talk) 01:04, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, not sorry, MOS:BIO does say exactly that. There was debate about whether it should be removed, but no consensus that it should be. Nor is it possible that you lost the sources as a result of the redirect. Deb (talk) 17:59, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I appreciate that you do important work deleting junk, but with this page I think you bit a newbie and could have been more constructive by tagging the page rather than deleting. Just a thought! Malick78 (talk) 16:03, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • yes Malick78 he deleted it twice see--it here. But I think Deb is right for its deletion. Deb action did not appeared to me as bitting newbies. There is enough room and lots for newbies to learn before article creation. However, the deletion must be speedy because the article met the criteria for speedy deletion. Meanwhile I don't want to believe that you never read the FAQ at the top of this talk page. If you haven't done so, kindly go back to read it. Thereafter you may leave an helpful note on his talk page advising him not to recreate the article so as not to keep wasting his precious time. Wikicology (talk) 16:40, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I've told the girl (yes, a female not a male ;) ) who created the article to improve it, and I'll check the results in a minute. I also read the FAQ at the top, but I don't see why a notability tag couldn't help. The newbie who created the page didn't realise it had been deleted the second time and only understands because I have explained it to her. Malick78 (talk) 16:45, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I did think about it. After the first deletion, I went to her page and asked her to read the guidelines (as you can see from her talk page). When she immediately recreated it without any improvements, I deleted it again. I have just done so a third time. I'm sorry that she doesn't understand the guidelines, but that's not my fault. I am, however, wondering why she created it under that title instead of its correct title of Fundacja Dzieci Niczyje. Any ideas? Deb (talk) 16:58, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Deb, you deleted it a third time despite my contesting it on the talk page. That's just rude and inconsiderate. You are not helping and should have answered on the talk page. I'm trying to teach the creator how to edit properly and you are being counterproductive. Malick78 (talk) 16:56, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

After the first deletion, I went to her page and asked her to read the guidelines (as you can see from her talk page). When she immediately recreated it without any improvements, I deleted it again. Because she is new. Really, many people don't understand our way of working and are intimidated by it. I suspect she'll not trying editing here for a year or two yet. She may not even understand you can leave messages for her (she's a student of mine but I haven't the time to check). Our ways have probably scared her off and Jimmy Wales is probably crying somewhere at this moment because we lost a female editor, since generally they hate this kind of confrontational approach (and she's editing in a foreign language to boot, which is even more intimidating). You could have acted gently, but you bit three times. That's a shame. Malick78 (talk) 17:21, 9 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I see, you have a conflict of interest here. Why didn't she take any notice when you explained to her the reasons for the initial deletion of her article? Deb (talk) 17:26, 9 September 2014 (UTC
I think that is a bit of an exaggeration. Have you any evidence for that? Deb (talk) 21:00, 9 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Evidence for what? Wikicology (talk) 21:20, 9 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
For suggesting that there is sock puppetry involved. It's not an accusation to make lightly. Deb (talk) 21:22, 9 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I beg your pardon! I had never accused him of sock puppetry. His claim above “she's a student of mine but I haven't the time to check only suggest a MEAT (its the statement that suggest a MEAT and not Wikicology). I won't appreciate it, when you mis-quote my comment.Wikicology (talk) 21:36, 9 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Wikicology, it sounded exactly as if you were suggesting that I was up to no good. Please AGF, or you could get in trouble. As it is, students who miss my lessons have to make it up by writing WP articles (via which WP may get new editors who would otherwise never consider editing here, and we get new viewpoints and topics covered). I'm quite able to create a new article (I've created over a hundred as you could easily find out on my page), so quite why you think I would make such a ham-fisted attempt at sock puppetry I don't know. Perhaps you should chill out a bit? I also see no COI.
Sorry Deb for wasting your space here with such absurdities! As for why she didn't take notice, who knows what goes on in others' heads? She was out of her depth in a new, highly-technical and intimidating area of the web. Not everyone gets WP! Malick78 (talk) 19:54, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

CleanLife Energy

[edit]

Hello,

Are G11 and A7 the only cited reasons in deleting the page? The reasoning given to me was, "inappropriate for a variety of reasons." Please expand this reasoning so that I may improve the page following stricter NPOV guidelines and then possibly recreate the page. I read your "FAQs" but wonder why there is no constructive process of correcting or notifying others' of their mistakes, so that they may be corrected, instead of deleting immediately. I support local Cleveland economies and am happy to find notable companies to write about. With that, CleanLife is a notable company and I can prove it through references, etc. Also, from looking through my edits I can improve neutrality. • 220 of Borg, thank you for your concerned. The article was previously deleted per G11. But in its current state it can't be speedily deleted with the same criteria, althou its claims are not supported with the references supplied. Are you familiar with “ eventualism”? You can as well do some editing on it, but if you have a good rationale for its deletion, you may nominate it for deletion using AFD. Cheers Wikicology (talk) 07:54, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dzanc Books, recreating

[edit]

This is a friendly head's up. I'll be recreating the previously deleted Dzanc Books article, tomorrow or Thursday. It will have about 6-8 non-Dzanc WP:RS sources, including interviews and the like. Some information will be taken from their site (authors, imprints). I have refamiliarized myself with WP:COMPANY and WP:SPAM. I have absolutely no connection with the publisher except that I've read some of their books, and have at least three times now red-linked them. Choor monster (talk) 15:41, 9 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Choor. Monster, I suggest its submission via the AFC. Otherwise, it might get deleted again. Wikicology (talk) 17:30, 9 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I don't actually remember the article, but if the references are good, it should be okay. Deb (talk) 17:33, 9 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
OK, it's been recreated. 10 refs. Choor monster (talk) 16:45, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Misunderstanding

[edit]

Re: your comments to me on Aerospeed's talk page. I contacted you as it appeared you had dealings with Aerospeed before. Re: Strawman #1 Yes, any Wikipedian can tag an article, I didn't contest that. Strawman#2 "Hanging offense", this is sort of a gross overstatement. If it was such I would have taken the matter up with the appropriate noticeboard. I simply took issue with tagging an article as a "blatant hoax" and "pure vandalism", per CSD G3 (i.e.assume good faith?) without taking the time to look into matters. Yes, if someone is going to tag an article they should take the time to see what it is they're doing. Aerospeed agreed with my points when I brought them to his attention and had the capacity to apologize. Now I offer the same advice to you. Please take the time to look into matters thoroughly before you use strawmen to make your points, and assume good faith, please. Btw, thanks for moving the article, I had reservations about 'Esquire'. -- Gwillhickers (talk) 16:19, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You had deleted this page. I restored some past diffs, after this was re-created as a less "spammy" version.

(talk page stalker) It's still a blatant advertisement, just shorter, and has all the hallmarks of a "paid for" article, an impression reinforced by the creator's other work. I noticed despite you have placed a soft-block notice on the user talk page, you've applied a hard-block setting for them. I had to ask before acting on the request, is the block only made for 'username' or 'promotional editing' as well? If only username, I'll grant them an account. If including 'promotional editing', I'll decline it and request you to change the template on their user talk page ({{uw-spamublock}}?). Angela richter

[edit]

Deb, I think your deletion of Angela richter was improper. A conflict of interest is by itself not a reason to delete and I didn't think the text was promotional. In addition, is was in the process of concluding it notable, and had just linked the article to its German counterpart (I suspect the English article was a partial translation, BTW, but my German's kinda rusty). As I was trying to fix the title to capitalize the R and do some cleanup, I found it deleted. I personally think it should be restored. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 14:54, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have the text to the article, so I would need you to restore it. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 19:57, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Deb, I need it restored with its contributions history. I didn't write it, and can't take credit for writing it. You're an administrator, you should know this. It would have been easier for everyone had you simply fessed up to your mistake and just restored it at its original title. Oiyarbepsy (talk) 15:12, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Badke Quartet

[edit]

I was really surprised that this article was deleted. I didn't write it, but the Badke Quartet is a very well-known quartet in Britain. It has been pretty extensively reviewed, and is certainly worthy of an article. They were recently appointed artists in residence at Royal Holloway University. Was there an AFD about this? Because there was nothing about the article (that I remember only vaguely) that merited even speedy delete. --Ravpapa (talk) 17:50, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

please do so (transfer to my sandbox). I will try to put it in decent shape. Thanks --Ravpapa (talk) 18:26, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Deb, I have rewritten the article on the Badke quartet, it is in my sandbox (User:Ravpapa/sandbox). You were right to have deleted it - the entire article was cribbed from their website. While I know it is a Herculean task to clear out all the garbage from Wikipedia, in the future, when you come across an article on a classical music performer or group that looks fishy, you might post to the classical music project talk page (Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Classical music). We are constantly reviewing articles like this, and are glad to help out. --Ravpapa (talk) 13:27, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'd suggest the article talk page. Seriously though, I trust the judgment of any third-party contributor who chooses to recreate a deleted page and improve it so I wouldn't normally even bother looking at it. For example, I'm taking your word for it that The Strad magazine is a reliable source. Deb (talk) 14:01, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) Thanks Deb! Yes the Strad (good cartoons, recipes and celeb news, many kittens) is more or less an RS - nowhere near as good as The Brass Herald of course but will have to do in this case (goak here). Best wishes to all DBaK (talk) 14:05, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I saw that the article wasn't moved to articlespace yet, so I made the changes on my sandbox. I hope they didn't fall between the cracks. I would dispute DBaK's assessment of RS, but then I am a string player, not a tooter. --Ravpapa (talk) 18:57, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Novel notability

[edit]

Hello, I would like to ask your opinion/advice on establishing notability for a handful of novels we've been going back-and-forth on the past couple of days. As you know, I've proposed additional criteria in Wikipedia:Notability (books) and in the meantime I have attempted to include citations for these novels that meets the existing criteria. I have started discussions in the talk pages of Blood and Bone and Assail explaining the citations I've added and why I believe them to satisfy the notability criteria for books. Unfortunately, another user keeps redirecting the latter article despite my requests to discuss why in the relevant talk page. I suppose what I would like to know is: do you consider the citations as satisfying the notability requirements? And if not, why? What is the best means of communication regarding matters like this? I have reason to believe the discussion I attempted to start in the talk page was not considered before the article was redirected. Knmorgan08 (talk) 00:44, 12 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Deb. You deleted the stub 3-4 miniutes after creation under A3, but we are encouraged to wait at least ten to 15 minutes before placing an A1 or A3, and I was in the process of helping expanding with info and references on this South African artist. Media Savvy Page

[edit]

Hi Deb. If you look at the page accurately, there is no difference from other outdoor advertising company pages. The main goal was to inform with reliable sources, and I don't see any advertising there. Could you please tell me which part you consider as Unambiguous advertising or promotion before you just deleting it. Thank you in advance.

Please undelete this article. The bot that tagged it with copyright violation is broken. It has done the same to many of my recent articles. They all have excerpts of video game review quotes in them but no direct content copying off any site. This form of quoting is permitted and in fact encouraged as Wikipedia does not approve of misinterpreting critics words.--Coin945 (talk) 12:57, 24 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request to reinstate List of Roman quaestors

[edit]

Hello

You deleted the article I started titled "List of Roman quaestors". It was an 'under construction' page and I accept should have been marked as such. Unfortunately it isn't possible to put it in a sandbox, or leave it for later, because it is a list and will only be completed over the course of time as I work through it chronologically, but having it there will allow other people to work on it too.

Could you please reinstate it and I will mark it 'under construction', thanks.

Speedy deletion of redirect

[edit]

Deb, my redirect page was marked for speedy deletion - and it was indeed speedy. The intent was not to game the search engines, as initially stated. CSI Enterprises is the owner of both globalVCard and global-fleet brands. This corporate structure is combined in a single article; I did not feel there was enough material to support three separate articles. The redirect is simply an attempt to point users searching for globalvcard to the appropriate company page (CSI Enterprises). Is this appropriate, or is there a better way to handle? Thank you. --KristiGNA (talk) 19:14, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I think the deletion was too speedy and I have re-created the page Globalvcard with a different redirect. Biscuittin (talk) 11:53, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Fine with me. But I'd still like to see remedial work done on the main article. Deb (talk) 12:07, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mean the "advertising"? Since these are commercial products it is difficult to describe them without using a company name or trademark. Biscuittin (talk) 17:11, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Most of the "references" seem to come from the company's own promotional material, and there's little evidence of notability. Deb (talk) 17:18, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'll have a closer look at it. Biscuittin (talk) 18:54, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • I nominated it for deletion again. Once again, we're talking about a company specific term that is a very unlikely search term in an encyclopedia. Yes, some may look for it on Google, but not here. Creating this takes advantage of Google's generously high ranking of Wikipedia in search returns. Then this unlikely search term redirects to the promotional sounding material for this company; material that was put here by paid marketers. Niteshift36 (talk) 19:50, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I wonder if you would look again, please, at the speedy deletion of Global-fleet? Undoubtedly, there are issues associated with the parent article CSI Enterprises. However, whilst that article survives (and I am not seeking to defend it) then Global-fleet was a valid redirect within the WP:R guideline since this brand is fully described at the target. Doubts over the redirect should, in my view, be resolved at WP:RFD. Just Chilling (talk) 20:19, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

See discussion two sections above. Deb (talk) 20:25, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The issues raised there need to be dealt with by fixing the target article. As the target article stands this is a valid redirect and I remain of the view that speedy deletion was inappropriate. My suggestion is to recreate and then take it to WP:RFD where the issues can be discussed. Just Chilling (talk) 20:35, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There is nothing to stop you recreating it if you wish. Deb (talk) 20:40, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Anmol Andore

[edit]

Not sure if "misplaced user page" is a euphemism there - I wouldn't be at all surprised if this was self-promotion, but this should really be deleted or userfied as a draft, if that's what the user presented it as. They might just be a fan or a friend, and we shouldn't mislead future editors into thinking that a Wikipedia user ever identified themselves as Anmol Andore. --McGeddon (talk) 12:59, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Deb. I was wondering why you turned down Rositsa Stefanova for WP:A7 speedy deletion. Does she meet WP:NGYMNASTICS? I wasn't able to find any sources that would make her pass the criteria. I was using my userspace to create an article on a Congressional candidate that made significant news coverage. This is allowed under Wikipedia's rules. User_pages#User_pages_that_look_like_articles. I should have used the Template:Userspace_draft to indicate what I was doing, and that I was not finished with my draft, but I did not know that template was available. Please help me to retrieve my deleted material so I am able to complete my article, as building an article on a userspace is allowed under Wikipedia's rules. Hi Deb - thank for for your message from a while ago about the deletion of the Article on "WorldRemit". Could you provide some information as to whether or not I can share a draft with other contributors in order to let them independently review the proposed article? Otherwise do you have any specific comments on the nature of the content you deemed invalid? I would be happy to make changes accordingly. Thank you for your help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mschmidbaur (talkcontribs) 14:50, 8 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

thanks for your message, please revert with consideration

[edit]

Hi Deb, please re-read the article when you make a revert. I have added some new section and improved some sections. If you want to tag it, please put it on the new version instead of revert. Another question is that why is the article Cloud robotics regarded as an advertisement? Thanks a lot for your effort on Wiki but please respect the other`s effort as well.

Kind regards, Lijall (talk) 12:53, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have put it in sandbox. But could you please point out and clarify where are the problems of the additional materials? Besides, more evidence and citation that have improved the article, why did you ignore them. I also improved the format and style to make it more readable, but you reverted without any consideration.

By the way, it seems your voice and attitude is not that friendly. We are not enemies but both want to make contribution and share knowledge.

I respect your work and effort. It`s our responsibility to make a better knowledge. But it should not be a conflict world here. Hope we can respect each other.

Best regards, Lijall (talk) 14:19, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your detailed suggestion. I will consider about that. Since I am new on creating wiki article and missed some rules. Sorry for my careless of spellings and grammar. I have noticed that. Beside, some spelling is caused by the difference of American English and British English. Since your grammar checker may be BE baed, you can see a lot spelling mistake of the page. I have changed all that to BE if you allow so.

Best, 14:44, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for that. That`s my fault when save the modification without care. The spelling mistakes have been cleared. I will double check the grammar and cohesion later once I reviewed the related guidance.

For the conflict of interest, yes, I am one of the those who is quite interested in the research of cloud robotics. That is why I created this page. It can provide integrity source of this topic to those want to understand cloud robotics because there is no such one exists on Wiki though the topic has been proposed several years. It has become a very popular topics in our area and highlighted by many governments, organisations and media. I have published several papers and notes on this topic. I also keep the updates of research in this topic. A dilemma is that if I want to provide some evidence and reference to explain it, but the only one exists is my own work. How can I avoid it. If I remove my the reference from those related to my work. It may cause copyright problems. Even though I discard the materials from my research, the others may add it later. I have decline and avoid to refer to materials from my work but some are necessary for the concept and evidence. How can I deal with this.

Best regards, Lijall (talk) 15:27, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Deb,

Again, the page Cloud robotics I created seems interesting that has bee viewed hundreds times a day. The unreliable references has be removed and POV of each sections now looks more natural. Each point has its reference from journal or conference papers published by academic publisher such as IEEE, ACM, governmental documents, non-profit organisation as well as open-source communities. It would be appreciate if you could review it again and provide suggestions for further improvement.

Hello. Today a an article about German Music Band Junksista has been created, then deleted by you (code A7). I do not understand if this happened because only the name is mentioned and should be written is some other way (e.g.: Junksista(band). Otherwise I do not understand the reason. 1) The band plays for the Belgian label Alfa Matrix (see Wikipedia references in more than language for the label itself and pages for many other artists, even with a smaller discography, who play for it), and in a few years has already produced a considerable number of recordings and played live in more than one country. 2) They have worked with (and for) worldwide known artists such as Jane Badler and Uh Huh Her. 3) A page for the band already exists on Wikipedia (French) and for places (always French pages) where they played live or where were played movies for which they created a soundtrack. 4) The article describes only their history, music style and production and for all the quoted reviews and article about them, there is a reference.

Not sure why you are so concerned, since you didn't (apparently) write the article. But here are the criteria for notability, which the article failed to meet: Wikipedia:Notability (music). Deb (talk) 12:23, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Junksista (band) page removed

[edit]

Hello again. The page has been made by me but published by my friend and user A_proietti , since I was not registered yet and I am learning how to create a page correctly. About satisfied requirements, "Criteria for musicians and ensembles" mean that "A musician or ensemble may be notable if it meets at least one of the following criteria": 1 ( http://alfamatrix.bandcamp.com/album/a-strange-play-an-alfa-matrix-tribute-to-the-cure ) 2 ( http://www.lastfm.it/group/EBM+Radio/charts ) 10 soundtrack feat. jane Badler (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane_Badler ) for ( http://www.cine-media.fr/article-divers-deux-courts-metrages-made-in-france-d-exception-125165465.html ) 11 ( http://www.bln.fm/2011/07/neu-in-der-rotation-woche-242011-3/ ) 11 ( http://coma-online.com/video-day-junksista-feat-ladyhell-queer/ )

Don't forget to read Wikipedia:Verifiability. Sources for these criteria must be independent and reliable - they cannot include the band's own website or other wikipedia articles. Deb (talk) 16:19, 19 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Junksista (band) page removed

"Don't forget to read Wikipedia:Verifiability. Sources for these criteria must be independent and reliable - they cannot include the band's own website or other Wikipedia articles. Deb (talk) 16:19, 19 December 2014 (UTC)" For what I can read, based on my English language's knowledge, band's own website is never quoted and it is only mentioned as an external link at the end of the article (as usual). Owing to what you have written, it is now your duty to mention where did it happen and the references, to prove it. As well as for what I read in it, no other Wikipedia article is quoted unless are present (as usual) links to other existing articles about artists or places mentioned (to give verifiability to the article itself).

Deletion of Cedarsong Nature School article.

Hi Deb,

I don't know if you had a chance to actually take a good look at the article, because it was not there for longer than two minutes before you deleted it. Cedarsong is a notable institution in that it is the first Forest Kindergarten in the US and, as such, has been featured in People Magazine, Sierra Club, ABC News Nightline, Al Jazeera America, Fox News, and Daybreak (the precursor to Good Morning Britain), and yet there is no mention of it in Wikipedia. Is it the topic or the writing that bothered you - that is to say, if I were to rewrite it trying to have an even more neutral point of view (which I was attempting to do), would it pass muster? I have no connection to the school and have no reason to promote it other than that it is in a field that is of interest to me, the whole outdoor education, nature immersion, forest kindergarten movement in the US.

I would like to understand because if I write about other schools that have made a mark in this field, I would hate to have them deleted as well.

Thanks for any advice. BTW - I did read the guidelines and thought that I had followed them, I am very familiar with Wikipedia.

Best regards,

Deletion of DiameterJ Page

[edit]

Hello, I put up a page yesterday about DiameterJ (in my sandbox not an actual article) that was not very encyclopedic in its entry; and it was deleted which I felt like was reasonable. However, I went back and edited the page to be nothing but the facts about DiameterJ, a free plugin for ImageJ, and it was deleted again. The reason that was given was because it was a clear promotion/advertisement. However, I don't feel like my article promoted the software, at least not intentionally. It stated what the application was, what it worked with, and what it did. I did my best to have the entry have no discussion of why it was good or bad, or any other "promotional" wording. Also, to further confirm what I had written there were two citations linked to sites and publications that confirmed the information in the article. So, I guess my question is, if this is considered promotional, how could I word this to be considered not promotional? Or stated another way, what in this article did you consider promotional? I'm new to content creation on Wikipedia, but I am willing to change/improve anything you point out as advertising or promotional.

Thank you for your time and help, and I'm sorry I couldn't figure out how to do this correctly on my own!

I did not do so out of pressurisation from anybody but rather because I feel I don't have the proper boundaries and my removals were becoming unreliable in trying to be faithful to the project complicated by my OCD, which only means that I need to be consistent. I have too many open questions regarding, in particular, sports figures, musicians and television personalities. I am more than happy to redo my old work and continue on once I have this settled. In the meantime, Best Wishes. Yours, Quis separabit? 23:09, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Also, btw: I came across an editor, Yanieborja, who has been adding a considerable number of names of individuals that I am fairly sure you would otherwise be deleting as trivial. Just so you can keep an eye out. The editor is a possible sock puppet and has a long list of sanctions (see [5]). Yours, Quis separabit? 23:13, 8 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, yes, I have noticed this user. He is presumably from the Philippines as he is adding people from the Philippines and nowhere else - in some cases, it's doubtful whether the individuals are even notable enough to be on wikipedia. Deb (talk) 09:11, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I reverted some of his/her edits, which appear to cover entries on almost every day of the calendar year so far as I have noticed, in order to keep the listings from becoming too unbalanced. Yours, Quis separabit? 16:44, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have keen knowledge about Wikipedia, but love to visit this site everyday for any knowledge related issue. I like to edit or add for few features of articles where I have clear & clean knowledge. I don't know whats the problem with Cool TV - Tv for everyone & Wazobia TV - Na We Re, whenever I write, it comes under any deletion policy, maximum time it comes under as promotional page. May I know, promotional of what, the channel promotion, ya any character's promotion.

You can find, if you want to see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_television_stations_in_Africa Here in Nigeria, One channel - two formats and 2 times in column 1) Channels TV 2) Channels Television (website)

where maximum channel have got red in color, even more channel in black rather red. If your policy is like that, then one day will come, very sorry to say - Wikipedia will be vanished from visitors mind. It is not a web page, even it is not encyclopedia, It is visitor's choice of knowledge with perfection and 3D (Devotion, Dedication & Determination).

you know why I am trying, still trying to add in Wikipedia about two channels. I am from India, these two channel from Nigeria and I've got offer from this channel. As my family, friends and colleagues want knowledge from Wiki and Wikipedia provides only truth, that's why this is my effort. I will try my last day.

I placed some comments on the talk page of the contributor who created the two articles referred to above, explaining what he needed to do. I don't know whether he has read my advice or not. I am not the bad guy here.Deb (talk) 16:18, 20 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. On my talk page, you wrote that "A single link to an external source will not enable your article to meet the verifiability standards.", but I do not see any mention of how many links are required. How many links do I need to include to satisfy the requirement?

Also, just in case verifiability standards require more links than I can find, would it be OK to create a business stub in it's place? Perhaps another editor could assist. --Xyzerb (talk) 23:59, 22 March 2015 (UTC) Hello De please is it possible you revert the Kessben article from deletion so I can work on it again and improve it?--Rberchie (talk) 10:58, 23 March 2015 (UTC) Thanks Deb I will do as you say and call on you anytime I need any help regards--Rberchie (talk) 13:01, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Deb, I hope you are well. I am contacting you in regards to the UltraDEX page which you deleted almost a few minutes after I submitted the final version. I spent a long time creating that page which no advertisement but with legitimate references. I was lead to create the page for UltraDEX due to the company not being listed on List of toothpaste brands. I have added UltraDEX to the List of toothpaste brands as you can see at the bottom of the list. Dear Deb, I've responded on my talk page. Thanks in advance, Brian Bmcln1 (talk) 17:38, 11 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you start off your admin refresher course with a read of WP:CANVASS, since you just went to anotyher admin -- one whose opinion, I am certain, you knew would agree with yours -- to get the "Partners" section of Goldstein, Hill & West Architects deleted. All this without ever participating in the article's talk page -- how you ever square this behavior with being an admin is really beyond me. BMK (talk)

Note: This comment comes from an editor who specifically requested further opinions on the talk page of the article in question - and now doesn't like it because he got them. Deb (talk) 11:02, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
My dialogue with this user now appears to be at an end as he has "banned" me from writing on his Talk page. So I am copying below the comments he deleted from that page.

"Your talk page is not a personal soapbox to enable you to make veiled accusations of bias against a third party without informing him - but administrators are used to this kind of mud-slinging from people who believe they know our job far better than we do even though they have never put themselves forward for the responsibility (not that I ever put myself forward for it either). Not being an admin leaves you free to use bad language, create bad articles, and make pretty much any accusation you like against an administrator without bothering too much about the facts. However, just in case there is anyone reading this who takes your comments about my own promotion to administrator at face value, I would point out that I didn't get six support "votes" - in fact, I didn't get any "votes" - because there was no voting at the time of that exercise. It was done by consensus, and had to involve at least one existing administrator. In June 2003 there were only 85 administrators on the project in total, out of a total of around 1300 active users. As you know, the total of active users is now around 134,000 and there are 1,355 admins. Exponential growth has resulted in many changes in the selection process; not everyone believes that the present system works any better." Deb (talk) 09:07, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker)So admins in 2003 were 6.5% of the populace, whereas now they are ~1%. So pro rata you had greater support then than the equivalent today. That certainly clears things up Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi 11:14, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not quite suggesting that I had "greater" support, but that the implication that I am not a proper admin because the process was different in those days appears to be based on a comparison between apples and cheese. :-) Deb (talk) 11:51, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Deb, thanks for taking the time to patrol the page. You added three tags, notability, source reliability, and no categories. Obviously you were correct to add the no cats tag, but I would dispute the first two. This bloke was the commandant of 163,857 people (well, probably around 100,000 as that's today's figure). He controlled the Channel Islands for a time, and got the highest award for valour, the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (which makes him notable per WikiProject MILHIST guidelines). Is it OK if I remove the tags? Thanks, Jerseyman abroard (talk) 09:51, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

(Just realised the source reliability tag wasn't addressed above. I'll correct my mistake shortly. Thanks, Jerseyman abroard (talk) 09:51, 14 April 2015 (UTC))[reply]
There are three sources: the Guernsey Occupation Museum, which backs up dates used in source 2. Source 2, Barry Turner's book Outpost of Occupation, is probably notable in its own right, having been reviewed in The Mail and by discussed by the BBC. Source 3, Eastern Inferno by Hans Roth is published by Casermate Publishers, a company which publishes military books. Therefore, I am afraid that I cannot see either notability issues or source issues here. Thanks, Jerseyman abroard (talk) 10:07, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

H Deb, i understand that you're here to keep wiki clean and nonsense free. I also understand that i'm new here. You'll have a long wait, unless it's re-written in non-promotional language. Deb (talk) 17:36, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate finally someone discussing the concern, tho the proper place for this discussion would be the article's now deleted talk page. I still await any specific example. The article has more than enough RSs, and is far less promotional then say the lede to New York City. Before we all get too deep here I'd like to point out for future reference, the article wasn't deleted because of unsubstantiated promotional language but because of unsubstantiated copy vio, so why are we discussing promotional language? "Promotional language" disagreement could have been handled with notices on those specific parts of the text, or a temporary removal of text an editor felt was "promotional" pending consensus on the article's talk page. I might be surprised to learn how the article was promotional or copy vio, but nothing I know about wikipedia would merit an article as this was being deleted, let alone speedily. Please reconsider this rash decision. Market St.⧏ ⧐ Diamond Way 18:40, 15 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Advertising vs. deletion on "Quick-and-dirty" article

[edit]

I think there has been a miscommunication. I recommended that the "Quick-and-dirty" article be deleted because:

  1. Quick-and-dirty is a colloquialism and Wikipedia is not a dictionary
  2. The article is fiction
  3. The article cites no sources.

Your response was to say that I added advertising to the article and therefore it should not be deleted? I don't know what I changed in the Microsoft paragraph, but I did not write it. Is that story even true? https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Quick-and-dirty&diff=641152241&oldid=575257546

I'm willing to help clean up this mess, but I could use additional guidance:

  1. Why does "Quick-and-dirty" deserve to be an article in Wikipedia?
  2. What about deleting this article constitutes advertising?

If you can answer those questions, I can use the link to the Oxford English Dictionary and the first use of the term in print to provide sources for a (very short) fact-based version of this article.

P.S. I think most people who repair things and speak English use this phrase. I've been programming for fun and profit for 36 years and don't see what makes it specific to computer programming. GlenPeterson (talk) 15:07, 19 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Roger Thomas requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.  Velella  Velella Talk   22:18, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I'm inclined to agree with you in regards to Nico Santora though, there just might be some notability there. I realize that ideally, articles wouldn't be drafted in mainspace but perhaps if we give him the chance he can muddle though and come up with something useful. I've BLP PRODed it and will keep an eye on it. --Non-Dropframe talk 21:04, 29 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

urgent notice

[edit]

I would like to assert the significance of RentFax. It has been featured in the news. Furthermore, RentFax has been compared to HomeVestors of America, a real estate corporation that is featured in Wikipedia at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HomeVestors_of_America. They both, RentFax and HomeVestors of America, have been compared and featured in the news. Please advice.

New Page - Under Construction - Owner of site

[edit]

Hi Deb,

I see the end of your note about using talk instead of email to contact you.

I don't understand why creating a page for an email service is a problem.

I edited a webmail comparison page that includes other services such as Gmail and Yahoo Mail.

Instead of that linking to a blank page I started a page but it was clobbered as spam before I could continue since I didn't have it tagged "under construction".

Similar startups from the past year are allowed to have pages. The page I was working on has unique encryption/privacy features that those services don't have.

If I can't create and work on building pages for the newer email services, who should be creating them?

I own a email support site and planned on creating and/or updating the pages for several email services that are mentioned but don't have pages yet.

I don't envision anyone else taking a day of their own time to get it done.

I can't imagine it was a 3rd party creating some of the other service pages I see listed.

The owners were allowed to get their pages for services they own created. I'm creating as a 3rd party which seems to be what you prefer anyways.

Update, in response to your reply:

Hi Deb,

The page I was using as a guide to start the page for SCRYPTmail is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ProtonMail

The Wikipedia page that prompted me to create a new page was https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_webmail_providers

My plan was to help update the comparison of webmail providers page and create the missing pages for newer email services as needed.

I believe in email security / privacy / encryption and intended to focus on getting those types of services listed too.

Update, in response to your reply:

I understand. I was not given a chance to complete the page. It was deleted after my first edit and hardly started.

My other edit on the web services page is gone now too. I'm loosing interest in helping Wikipedia.

I thought it would be fun to contribute. I spend lots of time creating forum based documentation. This didn't seem too different.

I still want to contribute. I'm happy to work on some other pages. Would you like to select and suggest some pages that need work?

If for some reason you don't want contributors who are knowledgeable in their fields contributing because they're associated with the field, that's fine, a bit strange, but let me know.

(I think) I sent you a LinkedIn request so you can see what companies I'm associated with, which I'm not, and my experience.

Christian - 123ContactForm

[edit]

Hi Deb,

A little while back (March) I created the 123ContactForm Wiki page but after evaluation it was deemed inappropriate, therefore I remade it. How will it work from here? The text is in my sandbox, would you mind checking to see if it's appropriate? Let me know, thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Christian2907 (talkcontribs) 13:39, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
