Nokia N79 is a smartphone and a member of the Nokia Nseries multimedia smartphone family. It was officially announced by Nokia on 26 August 2008. It has a customizable housing and includes two back cover pieces in the retail package. The colors available for the covers are White, Green, Red, Light Blue, and Brown with the main body color Grey, Black or White. The Nokia N79 runs on Symbian OS version 9.3 based S60 3rd edition, Feature Pack 2.

Nokia N79 has a 2.4-inch (61 mm) LCD screen that supports QVGA (320x240 pixels) resolution and displays up to 16.7 million colors. Nokia N79 features a built-in primary digital camera with Carl Zeiss Optics Tessar lens, Dual LED Flash and auto focus capabilities that supports capturing photos with up to 5 Megapixels of resolution. Nokia N79 also features a built-in secondary camera, a built-in FM Transmitter as well as Assisted GPS and Accelerometer..
