    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions or rejected Articles for creation drafts), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied, restored as a draft or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided at all.

    This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions in the template or on your talk page. Please do not request that articles deleted under speedy deletion criteria A7 or G11 be undeleted here.

If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly.     To Wikipedia: I accidentally deleted most of the beginning section on the entry "Houston Ship Channel." Below is the text I deleted, or as much of it as I have -- somehow I got it onto a word document on my computer but I could not paste it back onto the Wikipedia entry. Please place this back on the site. I did not make any changes in the text, but I may have deleted a few words without knowing it. Thank you -- a regular reader of yours.

Additionally, it is legal to access the bayou at all public roadway bridges, but legal parking spots may not exist near these bridges. On the east side of Loop 610, Buffalo Bayou passes along the south side of Memorial Park and the north side of River Oaks Country Club, and is accessible to the public along the entire Memorial Park frontage. Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, the former estate of Houston philanthropist Ima Hogg, is located on the north bank of the bayou just east of Memorial Park. After passing under Shepherd Drive, the waterway enters Buffalo Bayou Park, which is bordered on the north by Memorial Drive and the south by Allen Parkway. The park continues for 2.3 miles (3.7 km) to Interstate 45, where it enters Downtown Houston.[4] The bayou flows past Allen's Landing and joins White Oak Bayou before exiting the central reservoirs, which comprise a major flood control system for the region.     There were over 100 of these pages. Not a single one had a reference and all were abandoned for years. An AfD deleted the head article and judged the rest of the set to be far from mainspace ready. Mass restoration should be discussed soemwhere if more requests come in.     User:Johnvr4/sandbox & User:Johnvr4/Operation Red Hat

    Contains a draft I am still working on updated, improved, condensed, reedited, version with all new sources that was in my sandbox and was updated 1.5 hours before it was nominated for deletion. I would like it restored because I am still improving it. I placed a copy in back in my sandbox4, improved it immediately with a new source, and it was also deleted [User:Johnvr4/sandbox4]. (see: WP:Miscellany_for_deletion/OpRedHat ) I would also Like to have User:Johnvr4/Operation Red Hat restored as it contains all previous versions as well as the edit histories and submissions of several other editors over approximately eight years, six years of new sources and improvements and addressing concerns that got it deleted in the first place (some of which were absurd). The was title meant to be experimental per the suggestion in the original deletion. That version is a bit older and much of the material has already been moved to the main space out of my sand box despite the assertions of the deleting editor that no policy arguments were raised (they were) and that it would never be compliant in main space (it was) as the justification for the deletion, as well as some non-existent time component.     Thanks. I've tried. They won't budge nor will they elaborate on their reasoning- which seems flawed. User_talk:Premeditated_Chaos#Deletion_of_userspace_material. Can an administrator simply look at edit summaries and diffs to verify moves to the main space, numerous edits to condense and improve, new sources etc. from the original deleted article?     In an opinion on the original article deleted in 2013 the re-edited draft of which the nominating editor NOW says has to be deleted because is not worth keeping yet in that same breath he tells you the draft is unchanged from that 2013 article...: "Keep and Cleanup This article requires further cleanup, and focusing on the primary topic, as well as investigation of sources. There is also an enormous amount of useful material in the previous versions that deserves to be in a wide range of other CW, BW, and Vietnam War related articles."     The justification for restoration is stated by the nominator.     I'm not going to say this again: deletion review is that way and this is not the right forum to request the restoration of this material.     You actually do have that ability. Would you please review WP:Renominating_for_deletion#Requesting_undeletion "? "If the XfD discussion was closed as “delete”, do not nominate the page to be undeleted for at least one month, unless you know and can prove you satisfied the objections."

    It doesn't make any difference as far as REFUND goes. REFUND is for restoring pages which were deleted for uncontroversial reasons. This page was deleted as a result of a deletion discussion, which is not an uncontroversial reason. I don't have the authority to overturn the result of a deletion discussion because of something you wrote on this page, and neither does anybody else (except maybe the closer). For the third time, if you want this page to be restored you're going to have to use deletion review, which can examine whether a deletion discussion was done properly or whether there are other considerations which justify reopening the issue.     Surprise Asteroid

    The entry is valid because this is a creative entity that has been in existence for over 8 years, and has professionally published work available worldwide (Asia, United States, Europe). Had this been a new entity, completely unknown, and with very little history, I would advocate for its deletion. In this case, however, you may take the time to verify it's legitimacy via records in both news print and digital outlets.     • Unfortunately, in this case, both pages were deleted as part of our WP:Deletion policy which cannot be exchanged with anything else. The best alternative here is to weigh what exactly you can use on major independent news that wasn't either influenced or tied to the company as this wouldn't meet the relevant article criteria.     This article was written after extensive research and checking by wikipedia editors following a proposal sent to me to be published in Wikipedia because of my achievements and career. Th editor was Brad Arquette of Wikipedia services: and research and editing services were paid for. All facts in the article are correct. I notice that the G5 criteria was applied - which is a 'banned user'. I am hoping that I have not been a victim of a scam in which money is extracted to publish in wikipedia ?     Paid editors have to provide a disclosure. Many that ask for money to put an article on Wikipedia have been part of scams. They may make false representations about what they can put on Wikipedia. You are correct in that the G5 means that the article writer was banned. The G11 means that the page was completely promotional. The editor that wrote the page, JohnStannie, was blocked as a sock puppet of another user, see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Stoubora.      Not done. @Egandb: It wasn't deleted under CSD G13, it was deleted under CSD G11 as unambiguous promotion. You'd have to ask the deleting administrator RHaworth (talk · contribs) to restore it to draft space for further improvement. Or you could just start over, and write an actual encyclopedic article that complies with WP:CORP rather than a company brochure.     I just found out that User:Sir Sputnik has prodded a large number of Chinese stadiums. I deprodded and expanded quite a few of them, but the ones listed above have already been deleted. These are massive stadiums which can accommodate tens of thousands of spectators, and most have hosted major sports teams or important events. It's ridiculous to claim they're not notable just because there aren't many English sources available. For the ones I've rescued, I've easily found Chinese sources and expanded the articles. See Shuangliu Sports Centre, Xilingol Sports Center, Qujing Cultural and Sports Park, etc. See also discussion on my talk page.
