Loudwire is an online magazine that covers hard rock and heavy metal music. It is owned by media and entertainment business Townsquare Media.[1][3] Since its launch in August 2011, Loudwire has secured exclusive interviews with Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Judas Priest, Guns N' Roses, Megadeth, Mötley Crüe, Suicidal Tendencies and many others. Loudwire has also exclusively premiered new material from Judas Priest, Anthrax, Jane's Addiction, Stone Sour, Phil Anselmo and many more of rock and metal's biggest acts.[citation needed]

Every year Loudwire holds the Loudwire Music Awards, where visitors of the site vote in polls of various categories.[4]

One of Loudwire's signature segments is "Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction?", where artists confirm or disprove the information listed on their various Wikipedia pages. This game has been played with many hard rock and heavy metal musicians such as Dave Lombardo, Slash, Kerry King, Corey Taylor, Mike Portnoy, Glenn Hughes, Ace Frehley, Duff McKagan, Zakk Wylde, Tom Araya, Phil Anselmo and Dave Mustaine.
