[edit]Hi Pete,
I see you've also been cleaning up after User:Hafeezanwar today. I wonder if you might take a quick look at Baba Sharif Uddin Hyderabad - my Arabic is nonexistent and I want to make sure I haven't made any major cock-ups in pruning the article. Cheers, Yunshui 雲水 13:52, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

St Kilda to Kings Cross
[edit]Happy to help out - am a Paul Kelly fan, so its always good to see more articles about his music added to Wikipedia. Dan arndt (talk) 04:11, 7 February 2012 (UTC)
- 1stly ditto to Dan's comment.
- 2ndly: DYK: "that when Paul Kelly's debut solo single, "From St Kilda to Kings Cross", was released in 1985 it did not chart. By 2004 it was regarded as a top 25 song of both Melbourne and Sydney".shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 04:23, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
- 3rdly: Your DYK looks like a goer. I've moved the sound sample to the infobox. Its been fun working on this. Thanks for starting the article.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 11:33, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
4thly: A cover for the single was issued but I haven't been able to detect any online version. Eva Blanda describes it as "black and pink image of Paul's face". Should the article have a description of the cover given there's no image for the infobox?shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 21:56, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hi shirt58,
I was leaving a message on the page of a new Wikipedia editor who started editing on January 27, 2012. This individual seems to have taken the barnstar you left on his/her page as an encouragement to delete as many articles in as short a time as possible from Wikipedia. I am sure this was not your intent, but hope in future you will be a bit more selective in awarding barnstars.

GlacialTech
[edit]Speedy deletion nomination of GlacialTech
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on GlacialTech, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Lighter104 (talk) 03:54, 12 April 2012 (UTC)
I intend to modify on the content of my page, but could you please guide me how to do it without violating the wikipedia regulation?

Your HighBeam account is ready!
[edit]Good news! You now have access to 80 million articles in 6500 publications through HighBeam Research. Here's what you need to know:
- Your account activation code has been emailed to your Wikipedia email address.
- Only 407 of 444 codes were successfully delivered; most failed because email was simply not set up (You can set it in Special:Preferences).
- If you did not receive a code but were on the approved list, add your name to this section and we'll try again.
- The 1-year, free period begins when you enter the code.
- To activate your account: 1) Go to http://www.highbeam.com/prof1; 2) You’ll see the first page of a two-page registration. 3) Put in an email address and set up a password. (Use a different email address if you signed up for a free trial previously); 4) Click “Continue” to reach the second page of registration; 5) Input your basic information; 6) Input the activation code; 7) Click “Finish”. Note that the activation codes are one-time use only and are case-sensitive.
- If you need assistance, email "help at highbeam dot com", and include "HighBeam/Wikipedia" in the subject line. Or go to WP:HighBeam/Support, or ask User:Ocaasi. Please, per HighBeam's request, do not call the toll-free number for assistance with registration.
- A quick reminder about using the account: 1) try it out; 2) provide original citation information, in addition to linking to a HighBeam article; 3) avoid bare links to non-free HighBeam pages; 4) note "(subscription required)" in the citation, where appropriate
- HighBeam would love to hear feedback at WP:HighBeam/Experiences
- Show off your HighBeam access by placing {{User:Ocaasi/highbeam_userbox}} on your userpage
- When the 1-year period is up, check applications page to see if renewal is possible. We hope it will be.
Thanks for helping make Wikipedia better. Enjoy your research! Cheers, Ocaasi t | c 21:01, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 30
[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Adalberto Tejeda Olivares, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mexican (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Followed a bad link, mispelled in catalogue of Danz' recordings, should be Felix Draeseke, no point in creating a REDIRECT for a mispelling. In ictu oculi (talk) 13:21, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

Sport in India: Archery
[edit]Hi. Regarding your blanking of Sport in India#Archery, I think that the source cited is actually a {{Backwardscopy}}. Assuming that the date in the URL is accurate, http://indiansports.ind.in/2011/06/30/archery-in-india/, the Wikipedia section predates it, being present as of December 2010. I have not tracked down the exact point of insertion or confirmed that the WP text is original, so it might be a copyvio from somewhere else. In light of what looks like rampant copying in all directions, I think that we need to track down the content's origin as precisely as possible, using specific revisions and the Internet Archive. Eusebiu Blindu deletion
[edit]Trust you are watching the revisions at...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Eusebiu_Blindu
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Stopdeletingarticles
Surely this nonsense should be a speedy delete - but I gave up serious editing long ago because of this nonsense and so do not really care :-(

NNU wrap-up time is May 30
[edit]Hello. There are still some articles at Wikipedia:School and university projects/NNU Class Project/Winter 2012/Student list that need moving to the mainspace. Some have rubbish references and could be AfDd, so best not move those. But many just need a bit of cleanup and a move. If you have time to do a few, we would be much obliged. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:46, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
