World (formerly PBS World) is a 24-hour United States over-the-air digital subchannel showing public TV non-fiction, science, nature, news, public affairs and documentaries.[1][2] Launched nationally in 2007 as PBS World, it has been rebranded as just "World."[2] Originally distributed and marketed by PBS, World is now produced and distributed by Boston's WGBH, and New York City's WNET, and American Public Television.[2]
