This project aims to address the production, improvement and coordination of articles related to the Mumbai metropolitan area — its geography, history, culture, languages, politics, and so on. It intends to expand Wikipedia's resources on the subject in a fair and accurate manner and to act as a locus where controversies can be aired and hopefully resolved.
The goals defined for the WikiProject are:
- To improve all Mumbai-related articles
- To ensure its information is accurate and up to date
- To expand existing Mumbai stubs
The territorial boundaries of this project are limited to:
All Schools, Colleges, Temples, Churches, etc. within the city limits should be tagged with this WikiProject. Only those articles outside the city limits that do have relevance to the city should be tagged with this WikiProject. For example, C. H. M. College in Ulhasnagar should not be tagged with this WikiProject since it has no relevance to this project. But Navi Mumbai which falls outside the city limits which has extreme relevance with the city should be tagged with this WikiProject.
