Some Wikipedians have formed a project to better organize information in articles related to North Carolina. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. If you want to join, simply help out and add your name to the Participants.
As of September 11, 2024, there are 15,589 articles within the scope of WikiProject North Carolina, of which 44 are featured. This makes up 0.23% of the articles on Wikipedia and 0.4% of featured articles and lists. Including non-article pages, such as talk pages, redirects, categories, etcetera, there are 46,048 pages in the project.
This WikiProject is aimed at improving and adding quality articles about and relating to the people and State of North Carolina. The ultimate goal is to get articles nominated as Good Article or Feature Article Status.

Expand/Refine Thomas Day. I created this article on the famed free black furniture maker of Caswell County; I would have thought there'd be one already, but given his historical importance (at least in the opinion of the NC Dept. of Cultural Resources), his unique status, and the fact that museums throughout the State (including the NC M of Hist.) display his works frequently, I would like to fight for its relevance/importance. Please place stub tags on short "stub" articles. The North Carolina stub is the primary stub. All the others will put the article into subcategories of that one. Try to find the most specific stub tag appropriate and place at the bottom of the article page. If putting on a sub category tag, it is not necessary to also place the parent tag on there.
