BAFTA Award for Best Film

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Thefourdotelipsis (talk | contribs) at 06:14, 21 July 2006 (→‎1950s). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

This page lists the BAFTA award winners for each year. The award is split in two: Best Film from any source, and Best British Film. The film title highlighted in bold is the winner of its respective year, those not in bold are the nominees.

Until 1960, and then sporadically later on, the awards for Best Film were not handed out to any one person, rather, the film, as a whole, received the award.[1] In 1968, the two awards were joined into a singular "Best Film" award.
