    This page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.
    Shortcuts

    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here).

    This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

    Do not request that pages deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

    I have redone the article from the old information, I beefed it up, and the new text is here: User talk:Evrik/draft4. Lanzi's firing was a big issue in the Scouting community and may have partially led to the BSA eventually changing their position on LGBT people.

I think that is is significant/interest enough subject to be included on WP?     Battle of Montese

    well, the creator of the page was banned for sockpuppetry, but from what i saw, the page had no bad things, it was an common page, yes it was made by someone violating wikipedia rules, but the page had nothing wrong, and it was an useful page about an ww2 battle, so i think it should get undeleted. —177.83.137.145 (talk) 02:28, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

    I created this article under a different username that belongs to me. I forgot that the username existed and had to create a new one (which I'm using currently).     The closer, TonyBallioni, wrote Dynamic IPs being dynamic is socking. If a range block is actually needed, request one at WP:ANI. Closing. Also, a clerk can feel free to delete this is they want instead of archiving. Your call.     Muboshgu is correct - it is standard practice to delete SPIs when they're filed for IPs just being IPs (user moving between networks, dynamic IPs changing, a user moving between IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, things like that) that they generally have little control over. Might be needing new range block, will surely return with new IP, it is the pattern.     To ReaderofthePack. Thank you VERY much. I definitely do appreciate it! I significantly retracted sentences that still requires citation; I plan to put those back once a future official article comes out. I will understand Wikipedia's (and User:Bkissin) judgement and humbly request that they give the article time for new sources to come out. Just to say, I was able to add one additional credible, reputable source to back up a couple of sentences in the article. You'd find it a small article so far, but it will probably get bigger over time. If, for whatever reason, it get's declined, I ask that Bkissin or somebody will humbly let me know what I need to look out for (i.e., what type of articles). Pete Boyd, one year ago, said I only needed two (as long as they're credible), and I BELIEVE I have at least two now.     This was deleted as a result of Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2020 August 3#File:Mario kart first logo.png, but I wasn't requesting deletion at all: I was asking if there was any reason why it couldn't be marked as {{PD-textlogo}} and moved to Commons, and, if so, if the previously deleted versions could be restored since they wouldn't fall under WP:NFCC any longer. There weren't any responses, so apparently Fastily (talk · contribs) treated it as an expired PROD and deleted it, even though that wasn't at all what I was trying to accomplish.     Oh sorry, I misread your statement. Usually when people use the term "fails c:COM:TOO", it means that the file exceeds the threshold of originality and should be treated as copyrighted/non-free.     Photo was deleted because it was tagged as having not used (unfree media file) for more than 7 days. However, I can still remember that Patrickroque01 uploaded this in a free license and full resolution, but for some reason it was made as non free because of no FOP in the Philippines. However, such situation is best resolved by adding relevant no FOP notice tags instead of using non free media file tags. Example is what I did at another file by Patrickroque01: File:Bonifacio Shrine (Padre Burgos, Manila; 11-23-2019).jpg. In this way, this guarantees that this freely licensed file cannot be transferred to Commons until either the subject falls PD or if a full FOP measure is implemented in our country. I'm also humbly requesting its reversion to the original full-resolution file instead of a small file that was the result of it being tagged as "non-free." —JWilz12345 (Talk|Contrib's.) 10:26, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

    • For reference it was uploaded by Patrickroque01 on Oct. 14, 2018 (11:25 am, based on my time zone preference and according to the log). I can still remember that it was under a free license. Then it was somehow made unfree (falling it under NFCC rationale) around December 2018 on the grounds of lack of FOP. But IMO it should be restored (in its original, whole resolution), and a precautionary note that warns others not to transfer it to Wikimedia Commons, similar to what I am doing in other photos of contemporary or modern Philippine structures (whether from Patrickroque01 or other Filipino Wikipedians).     Halo drive

    This is not an undelete request in the strictest sense, but rather a request to have some material copied from a recently deleted article into a sandbox. About an hour ago, I composed two paragraphs of content for an article I am working on, in what I thought was a subpage of my sandbox. However, because of a typo I failed to notice I had actually opened the namespace of the actual eventual article (woops). As soon as I realized my mistake, I deleted all of the content with an edit summary explaining what had happened, and an admin came along almost immediately to delete the article (for which I am grateful).

    However, said admin was so quick on the draw that they deleted the article before I had a chance to rescue the work I had already done and move it to the sandbox where it was meant to be all along. I've reached out to the admin in question, but they are not responding (apparently they chose that exact moment to log off or they have their hands full with something else entirely). Could I please impose upon some kind mop with a moment to spare to move the deleted content from Halo drive to here? Thanks in advance! Snow let's rap 13:43, 11 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The unrolling of a global pandemic and B. lack of credible new information from primary sources.     I contested the deletion on the talk page due to the fact that I do think that there are places classified as villages in Aberdeen (per sources) see the discussion at Talk:Cults, Aberdeen#Village or Suburb. There is also a discussion on if categories can be emptied at Wikipedia talk:Categories for discussion#Where does it actually say you should not just empty a category you don't like? so I suggest restoring the members and the IP can start a full CFD if deletion is still desired.     Causa limeña

    I became very discouraged when the Wikipedia police deleted my entry for this wonderful Peruvian dish. If I recall correctly, the reason given for deletion was that it was too "unimportant" for Wikipedia. I recently noticed that Causa limeña is mentioned elsewhere in Wikipedia. Since I wrote the entry, Peruvian restaurants have proliferated across U.S. and European cities, so perhaps the administrator who was offended by my work will reconsider.
