This is a list of communities in New Brunswick, a province in Canada. For the purposes of this list, a community is defined as either an incorporated municipality, an Indian reserve, or an unincorporated community inside or outside a municipality.

Indian reserves

New Brunswick has 28 Indian reserves.

The First Nations of New Brunswick, Canada number more than 16,000, mostly Miꞌkmaq and Maliseet (Wolastoqiyik).[10][11] Although the Passamaquoddy maintain a land claim at Saint Andrews, New Brunswick and historically occurred in New Brunswick, they have no reserves in the province, and have no official status in Canada.

Parishes
  1. ^ Bathurst is described as having a "hybrid" council type,[5] containing both councillor and councillor ward seats.[2]
  2. ^ The local service district of the parish of Campobello was incorporated as a rural community on 1 November 2010; the parish itself still legally exists and appears in the Territorial Division Act. The data here is for the rural community of Campobello Island.
