The Interview reception
[edit]Hello there! Thank you for helping out with the article for The Interview. I saw that you were updating the Rotten Tomatoes score, but you only updated the percentage, and not the reviews counted, the average score, or the accessdate in the source. As Rotten Tomatoes is blocked at my work, I can't fix this myself, so would you be willing to complete the remainder of the information update? Thank you! Speedy deletion nomination of Tab Murphy (screenwriter)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Tab Murphy (screenwriter) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. AusLondonder (talk) 15:57, 2 May 2015 (UTC)

The article Alessandro Carloni has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. | Naypta✉ opened his mouth at 19:36, 4 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Cartoonist 101. All or some of your addition(s) to Kringle (book) has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 15:16, 20 August 2016 (UTC)

Fairy Tale Parody
[edit]Hi - I've seen the additions you've been making to the Fairy tale parody page. Generally, lists of that sort aren't the best way of presenting information. It would be better to write prose analysis of those films, using references. I understand that the article already contains a list of fairy tale parody books, but those at least have a reference. The article is still very much a stub, so neither list is really all that problematic. But if you'd like to make serious contributions to the page, then I'd recommend looking for more third-party sources, such as the one from Time. Or if you'd rather continue working on lists, then you might consider creating a Category instead, as it doesn't appear that fairy tale parody films have their own category yet. Either way, thanks for your interest in the topic! --Jpcase (talk) 16:27, 4 December 2016 (UTC)
The article Dawgtown has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Recreate of PROD'ed article, fails WP:GNG, no indication of significance now or that it will be significant. Also fails WP:NOTCRYSTAL.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SanAnMan (talk) 20:21, 4 December 2016 (UTC)

- Since you tried to add a citation in this edit, I will not block you this time. However, there are multiple problems. First, the link you cited in the edit summary doesn't work. Second, please read this consensus, which says production companies must be cited to a reliable secondary source that explicitly labels them as such. This means promotional material is not acceptable. This includes trailers, posters, and most YouTube videos. Instead, we use sources like trade magazines and reliable databases, such as the AFI Catalog of Feature Films, Variety Insight, and reviews by The Hollywood Reporter and Screen International, all of which explicitly identify the production companies. The text "in associate with" could mean almost anything; that's why we require a reliable source to explicitly label the production companies. Please stop adding unsourced production companies and/or using your own original research to identify this based on promotional credits ("in association with"). If you continue doing this, I will block you. This is your final warning. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 14:53, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 23:14, 25 July 2017 (UTC)The article Kevin Smith's unrealized projects has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
See LISTCRUFT. Not an encyclopedic list. (Doesn't even link to Kevin Smith, but that can be corrected.)
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Robert McClenon (talk) 03:02, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from The Green Hornet (2011 film) into Kevin Smith's unrealized projects. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 17:51, 6 August 2017 (UTC)

- I don't know why you're blanking a film from the list, but it's sourced. Variety Insight gets their information directly from the studios themselves, so I trust that quite a bit more than I trust some editor on Wikipedia, who says it's not happening. If you have evidence that the source is wrong, I suggest you start a discussion on the article's talk page. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 00:33, 12 September 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Just wanted to say thanks for creating this page. I had been writing some material about the E 177 trilogy itself, and putting it on the Unbreakable page, but I knew it was odd to put it there, as it was relevant to all three films - and there are a number of articles talking the concept of the trilogy itself, rather than one particular movie. Speedy deletion nomination of Dammit Doll
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Dammit Doll requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 05:17, 4 July 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Dammit Doll. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. reddogsix (talk) 14:22, 4 July 2018 (UTC)

Request reason:
Hi, this is Cartoonist 101. I would like to be excused from this 1 month penalty. The change from the Scooby-Doo page was because I thought that was the title of the film; I didn't know that it's remained untitled. So KnightLago, can you please excuse my penalty, I didn't know it change. So if you can, please answer back as soon as possible.
Decline reason:
You seem to profoundly misunderstand how Wikipedia works. It is your responsibility to cite your changes with a reliable source. If this had been the first time you had made that mistake, that'd be one thing. But this is your fourth block for this. You've received plenty of warnings, but still seem to think your changes were acceptable if you happened to believe your edits. That's not true, not remotely true. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

The Powerpuff Girls Movie
[edit]Please refrain from reposting unverifiable material that was removed from the article for The Powerpuff Girls Movie. Most of the information in the "production" section is either unsourced, or fails the standard for Wikipedia's guidelines for verifiable sources as listed on WP:VERIFY: case in point, the source simply titled "The Powerpuff Girls: Who, What Where, How, Why... Who Cares?" is vague as it does not specify what exactly it is that's being sourced, and TV Tropes is a site that can be edited by anyone like Wikipedia, and thus fails as a reliable source in and of itself. Self-published sources from the creators on social media sites such as Twitter might be included, but are generally not preferred. If you continue to re-include this content without it meeting the proper verifiability guidelines, action will be taken that could result either in the article being protected from further unproductive edits, or your account being blocked. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 23:07, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- User talk:SubZeroSilver, I have received your notification about some of my additions to The Powerpuff Girls Movie page. I'm trying to use more valid websites as credited sources. I also noticed that you didn't understand were my blank source of one of the references dubbed "Who Cares?". That just so happens to be a documentary about the show itself; I wasn't sure how to properly link that as. I would like to keep some of the production info intact to the page and I'll try to look for more reliable sources to include if we can keep that portion available. Reply back as soon as you can.
- You have re-added the same content with the same poor sources despite the warnings you received. Any further persistence in adding this unsubstantiated section without the necessary verifiable sources will result in your account being blocked. User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 05:18, 9 January 2019 (UTC)

Proposed page for a new actor portraying Bruce Wayne/Batman in an upcoming film
[edit]Hey, I was wondering if you want to create a quick wiki page for actor Dante Pereira-Olson, as he will be portraying Bruce Wayne in the upcoming Joker stand-alone film. He also has other acting credits including roles in Happy!, You were Never Really Here, and Jessica Jones. So, what do you think? Cardei012597 (talk) 21:08, 2 December 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Nostalgia Critic (season 10)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Nostalgia Critic (season 10), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. - User talk:R9tgokunks, what vandalism? All I edited out was the live action prequel tab. There was two of the same tabs there, so I took one of them out.
- I am extremely sorry. I did not notice this. Forget about the warning and I hope you accept my apology for my lack of insight. - R9tgokunks ⭕ 19:56, 18 January 2019 (UTC)
- It's alright. I accept the apology.

List of Easter eggs in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, List of Easter eggs in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Quantum Leap
[edit]Please see WP:IPCV. All 'in popular culture' notes must be cited to independent sources to establish not just that the reference occurred, but that it is considered significant in some manner. Or as I like to put it, we need to establish not just that the tree fell in the woods, but that it made a sound when it fell. DonIago (talk) 03:40, 15 May 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of unproduced Dark Horse projects, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Coyote Ugly (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Links to draft articles
[edit]Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Swinton O. Scott III. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 12:37, 3 September 2021 (UTC)

[edit]The article Daphne Deloren has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No indication of significant coverage for notability.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 02:16, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
