April 2008

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Madden NFL: You may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. ArcAngel (talk) 18:49, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Mark Worrell

A tag has been placed on Mark Worrell requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Zenlax T C S 20:57, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Eddie Rodriguez has been listed for deletion. You might want to join the discussion. Zagalejo^^^ 02:54, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Jim Hitchcock

Hello. The Jim Hitchcock article that you created has been redirected to Jimmy Hitchcock since it apparently was a duplicate article for the same person. • Gene93k (talk) 12:14, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

thank you--[[Adam Penale]] (talk) 13:38, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Notability of Joe Just

A tag has been placed on Joe Just requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ŵïllî§ï$2 (Talk!/Cont.) 17:18, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. You created the above page, but it should not be in article space as it is not an article, rather a page of userboxes about you. It should be in userspace, i.e. have the "User:" before the name. Will you please move it to User:WWEFAN99/userboxing or something, to put in into userspace. Thanks, ♥NiciVampireHeart12:44, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Sure--[[Adam Penale]] (talk) 14:28, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of WWEFAN99/userboxing

Orphaned non-free media (Image:1211.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:1211.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:19, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Your RFA

Hi Adam. Your RFA seems a bit premature. You may want to review the WP:NOTNOW essay. Please don't take offence, as your work is really good, but your request for adminship is very unlikely to pass at the moment - it may be better to withdraw and save some grief. RE: Hey

You revealed personal information, and as a child, that information should not be publicly available. Deleting the page removed the history and any old editions of the page, protecting the data from access. I am happy to email a copy of the page's code, if you wish to use the contents for a userpage - but please do not post personal details such as date of birth, addresses and telephone numbers. Could you...

Hello! I am representing WP:MARINERS. I noticed that you have been placing the {{WikiProject Seattle Mariners}} template on talk pages. This is a great help, and I thank you, but could you also assess them using |class= and |importance=? All you have to do is see Wikipedia:WikiProject Seattle Mariners/Assessment, and look at what other projects have given them on class. Thanks! Meisfunny Gab 00:58, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

OK but its going to take a wile because most of them dont have a class and importance--Adam Penale (talk) 11:58, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Joe Wagner

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Joe Wagner, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. WikiProject Baseball banner

Hey, just letting you know that the code for the banner has changed, so you no longer have to mark the images/templates/categories, etc as "|class=NA" you can simply put in {{WikiProject Baseball}} and it will automatically assign the image class, template class, etc. Thanks. —Borgardetalk 08:09, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Rich Hinton

I noticed you removed the 1976 Cincinnati Reds template from Rich Hinton's page. He was a member of that team, though he did not play in the postseason, so I was wondering what the criteria were for adding those templates to the various player pages. Is there such a guideline somewhere on the baseball project page? -Dewelar (talk) 22:04, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Well, he wasnt even in the Template, due to the fact as you said that he did not play in the postseason. You should only put the Templates on if the page is in it.--Adam Penale (talk) 22:09, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
OK, but that opens up a new question: what are the criteria for putting someone on the template? Is it just that they played in the postseason? If so, there are a LOT of erroneous templates out there, starting with a few Yankees World Series templates that list guys by the bunch. I remember seeing at least one discussion about those templates where the reasoning for inclusion was that if the player got a share of the postseason money, he goes on the template. That seems excessive, but there should be some guidance. I mean, if I add Hinton to the template, is someone going to kvetch? -Dewelar (talk) 22:17, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
If Hinton did not play in the postseason, let alone the World Series, he should not be in the Template. and i no what you are talkin about with those Yankees ones. Somebody added ALL the players that played that season to them.--Adam Penale (talk) 22:34, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
I've asked over on the project talk page to see if there's any further guidance on the issue. If this goes like my previous queries, though, it will be utterly ignored. -Dewelar (talk) 22:43, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
