Shortcuts

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions or rejected Articles for creation drafts), or in "articles for deletion" debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. This page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be userfied or emailed to you so the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). This means that content deleted after discussion—at articles for deletion, categories for discussion, or miscellany for deletion among other deletion processes—may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process.

This page is only for requesting undeletion of articles or files which have already been deleted. If the article you are concerned about is still visible, but has a warning message (template) at the top, please do not post here, but follow the instructions on the template or on your talk page.

Note that requests for undeletion is not a replacement for deletion review. If you feel an administrator has erred in closing a deletion discussion or in applying a speedy deletion criterion, please contact them directly. If you discuss but are unable to resolve the issue on their talk page, it should be raised at Wikipedia:Deletion review, rather than here.

Request for undeletion (NAI LAC)

Church on the Living Edge

I was creating this page with consent of the church administrator, I was in the process of creating the page when it had gotten deleted for a reason that was not necessary. I would like to have it un-deleted or limited to access by only me until I complete it. PLease help me and i will make sure the page is done under the Wikipedia Guidelines and copyright rules.

Not done I don't know what you mean by "a reason that was not necessary", but the article violated at least two Wikipedia policies, and at least one guideline. Apart from anything else, it was unambiguous promotion from start to finish. Wikipedia is not a medium for any organisations, including churches, to publish pages telling the world how wonderful they are. As for limiting access to one user, that is not possible, and completely contrary to the whole spirit of Wikipedia: anything you write is free to be edited by any other Wikipedia editor.  Not done. Lana buchyk was a copyright violation from http://lanabuchyk.com/?page_id=69, so cannot be restored - see WP:Copy-paste. In any case, it was in a far too promotional and unencyclopedic style: "Due to her charisma and extroverted personality, new opportunities soon flooded in... " etc. You will have to write in your own words, and take care to use a neutral point of view - no opinions, no glowing adjectives, just plain facts of what she has achieved, cited to reliable sources. Bardel Entertainment

This page was first deleted through WP:PROD and subsequently through WP:CSD. I would like all of the revisions of this page (that is, from all three deletions) to be restored. I attempted to discuss this with the deleting administrator of the most recent revision, but the administrator in question simply ignored my request to explain the refusal to restore.  Done, partly. I have omitted a number of revisions from the second creation which were copyright violations from the company's website http://www.bardel.ca/company. I made a fearful hash of the partial restore (not enough coffee) but have finally got it right. As this title was salted by Bbb23 (talk), I have userfied it for you to User:Dogmaticeclectic/Bardel Entertainment.   • For this we will need to have a proper deletion review. In my opinion A7 does not apply, however the references do not prove anything. What we need are the actual newspaper pages and magazine articles about the person, not repetitions of things that they did not totally write. This article was originally declined because of a claim that the sources were not verified, yet Yukio Utada is indeed a well known aikido instructor with rank given by the Yoshinkan style, which any simple google search could verify. This article was originally deleted because an editor said it didn't fit the guidelines for inclusion on Wikipedia. It was re-created adding multiple national citations and substantiation for why it should be included - and its conformity with Wiki rules for inclusion. Several national magazines and publications authenticated the content and were cited in the re-created article. This person is a significant figure in the emerging digital media and social media genre. All citations were national in scope. Net4 is Notable company.

Yesterday, I created Net4 page. User:Virgininfatuation has tagged for deletion and suggest "that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion", I totally agree. But within 15 minute User:Jimfbleak deleted this page, all this happen within 5 hours. This is a panic action by User:Jimfbleak, which is unfortunate. Net4 is a company, founded in year 1985 and was no. 1 position as ISP, Domain registration and Web hosting many years. Company is still no. 1 in Hosting in India. These two files were believed to be in the public domain, and were therefore transwikied to Commons and deleted here in 2011. The public domain conclusion was premised on the fact that the film was published pre-1964 and the assertion that its copyright was never renewed. However, in June 2013, an IP editor noted that the copyright had in fact been renewed, and the film was not in the public domain: [1]. Although this edit was unsourced, and I was initially skeptical (in fact, I initially reverted it as unsourced), I have followed up and confirmed that it was renewed; see renewal registration no. R564909, Dec. 3, 1973, recorded in Catalog of copyright entries. Ser.3 pt.12–13 v.24–27 1970–1973 Motion Pictures. U.S. Copyright Office. 1973. p. 118.

Because of the renewal, the film and its screenshots are not public domain, and will need to be deleted from Commons. However, they certainly are allowable as fair use, so I'd like them to be restored here before I move to delete from Commons, to retain their origin and history, as required by the applicable CC or GFDL license and to avoid the article The Story of Menstruation being messed up.
